Forgive the bad pun in the title. I'm still new to posting on forums but I am always willing to give something fresh a try!

About Me (as a RP Partner): I am a modestly active RP partner (2-5 replies a week unless we get on a roll on a Sunday or similar when lots of replies may occur in a back and forth). I work full time and genuinely believe real life is the priority. I am happy to chat ooc but also happy to keep the focus on the writing itself if that is your preference.

Writing Style:
I typically write in the third person. Length tends to be medium. I subscribe to the - tell me what your character is doing, thinking, and feeling - reply style so that gives my partner sufficient meat to formulate a response. But this will vary. If there is a lot of action going on (ie a fight or something), replies may be tighter to avoid drifting into godmodding. I like a good 5-10 sentences when possible but if using gifs to add some expression etc to the reply, then closer to the five sentence mark.

Writing Location: These days, I usually write on Discord but I could also do a tumblr sideblog or such other location that we agree upon.

My Characters: I typically write male Original Characters, since I am not particularly current on fandoms. The only fandom I have actually written in is Vikings. With a well-established partner, I am happy to try a female character. I like using actors rather than art for visualizing the character's appearance with some degree of flexibility (ie, you might describe your character as looking like a plus sized Margot Robbie and I'd be down with it). I tend to favour less common male faceclaims but I am willing to discuss with my roleplay partners to ensure we are both comfortable.

Writing:
I like a bigger plot idea that we get to work within, whether that's a historical setting, fantasy setting or science-fiction settling. I don't tend to enjoy as much slice of life, modern universes unless we give it a twist. Happy to discuss with my partner what kind of twist will add that little extra spice. I can write very dark / taboo subjects and even if that is not your preference or the style of writing we are doing, I do not tolerate any form of writer/writing shaming. I love writing a horrible villain who does truly terrible things, but I, personally, still feel guilty about a squirrel I ran over 10 years ago (aka writer does not equal muse).

Plotting: I love love love working with my roleplay partners to help create our writing universe. What are our characters' roles in this world? Are they ordinary people or does the world turn on their decisions? Are they supernatural? ABO? Magical? Soulmate threads? I love arranged marriages or situations where two characters are thrown together so that even if they start out snapping and snarling at each other, they are obliged to keep talking, spending time together, or even sleeping next to each other so that they must keep going and find a way forward. I love coming up with basic plots with my rp partner and then watching them spin out into an entire universe that I think about during quiet moments.

Partner I am seeking:
Someone who likes a plotty thread, someone who enjoys writing and wants to give me an insightful reply (ie - i can see their character's thoughts, feelings, and actions) so that I can craft a good reply. Someone who communicates if it just isn't working for them so we can either change it up or start something new. If you want something terrible to happen to your muse, I might have a great villain for you. But I can also do something with a sweet love story and enjoy every reply.

RP Partner Thoughts: I don't care as to your gender and age so long as you are not a minor but I am older than google so please be okay with that. One of my rp friends/writing partners loves to tease me about my aged self. All in love and fun but I want people to be aware and stay within their own preferences. Your comfort is far more important than a single writing partner. If you are on the older side and wants to reminisce about the days of yore before getting into the thread, I am down with it.

Icks - I don't super love cheating plots unless it really works for the thread or develops over time in some way. My villains don't rely on basic prejudices to be awful people. (I think it is more fun to play a villain without such an easy crutch if you know what I mean).

Triggers - animal abuse (esp if explicitly written out), scat, vore, gore and cannibalism (explicitly written out but can be obliquely referenced esp if a post-apocalyptic world).

I am not easily triggered but believe firmly in respecting my writing partner's boundaries. This is supposed to be fun and if it isn't then let me know and we can change it!!
