RP Hunt Looking for a Dedicated C-Drama Enthusiast (temporarily open)

As the title states, I’ve been obsessed with C-Dramas for some time now, and after —

Pursuit of Jade— at first I wanted an OC character type deal with a similar plot line but it concluded with its own AU which I absolutely adore and it placated my need for an RP but

tbh I’d love to make an rp anyways. I have a bunch of ideas flowing, a dedicated C-Drama song lineup that I’ve been listening to and I want to create.

Usually, in the past I’ve been influenced by shows / movies to make rps and that is where I got my love and own lores for vampires from — like hello Vampire Diaries and Underworld.

I also have this thing where I can create and daydream vivid scenarios of any current rp I have going and typically this happens whenever I’m listening to songs (I.e. dramatic, full orchestra C-Drama’s OSTs, especially ones I’ve watched recently where anything dramatic happens and the characters are in turmoil) and imagine my next post and my rp partner’s next post (well, the next circumstances to happen or a potential plot line)

I always claim I don’t plot, but I find myself doing it on the fly while listening to the songs or even dreaming about it.

I once breathed, dreamt, and practically lived for rps. I keep going back to my favorites, rereading them time and time again.

And as much as I step away I can never truly leave, as writing, or rp’ing is my livelyhood. Besides watching shows, it’s the only hobby I have had constantly for 15 years.

I’ll also be honest, I don’t have much of a social life, much of my interactions happen with a screen. Rp’ing has been my only solace and form of escapism. So I guess I’m just throwing in one last request thread (well, who knows what the future might hold) for now.

Hell, I even made a whole list of recommendations for a friend to watch in hopes that we could create something together — (but this included some K-Dramas as well lol)

Anyways, enough of my ramblings. If you’ve gotten this far I applaud you, as I can talk (or in this instance, type) forever.

My Own Synopsis

A disgraced, framed noble, nearly on deaths door is rescued by a local village girl. Once nursed back to health, he hides his true identity from her while planning a way to get his revenge on those who tried killing him. But during his healing period they spend time together and start to grow true affection for one another (they end up married out of convenience. He does it to remain under cover, she does it so she doesn’t lose the house her recently deceased parents had (no male heir, goes to next of kin) so in turn takes a live in husband (house husband). Anyways, turns out that commoner has noble roots and she only learns of this much later in the plot. She also learns of the noble’s identity and try as she may to make up excuses to leave him / not love him— she just can’t. Meanwhile she finds out her father was disgraced and framed and her and the noble try to find a way to restore her and his family’s honor. Few things to note: this commoner is a butcher, has inhuman strength and was taught by her father martial arts. Turns out this martial arts technique is known by a great general of the nation, who is also a master to the noble she married. And is a friend of her father and knows of her true identity. Her father was framed for deserting the war, not delivering supplies and by that having several hundred thousands lose their lives. The noble first discovers her true heritage but knowing that her father was most likely framed, doesn’t hold it against her. And— when there’s a military draft and she thinks her husband is drafted at some point (although he tells her he cannot stay and has to leave anyways, because of course, this is a marriage of convenience, so why get attached when war is looming between nations?) she goes looking for him and eventually joins the army, unaware that he is the marquis / general of the army she joins. There’s also a subplot that her sister is kidnapped in ties with the marquis / general after the enemy discovers where he had been hiding (and she goes out in a search to find her) and because her village was massacred in the meantime. So that strengthens her resolve to set out and find her sister, any displaced villagers drafted to return them safely home and of course her husband >w< not to mention but the marquis is deeply in love with her, confessed that in this lifetime alone his heart belongs to her Also, I just finished this drama so the ending basically is that her and his family gets justice, they find the truth, live peacefully for five years and have two kids together. The AU at the ending tho, ugh I loved that too but I’m set on the main plot line

I’d love to RP either the Marquis in this instance or the Commoner. I won’t be picky in this regard, but I will state, if I don’t rp the marquis— I’d love for your character to be like him— cold, distant and not open for much affection at first but as he spends time with the commoner obviously his icy heart melts and becomes deeply in love with her.

This plotline will be a slow burn, an agonizing page turner for myself but I am willing to see it through. I want at least 60% plot and 40% smut. I know in the actual drama, there’s really no indication of any of it between main characters until the end, but eh it’s gonna be my own thread and that’s what I’d prefer.
Also! I also have a dedicated rp portfolio of character face claims lined up. So, already ready and geared up for this.

This is the only C-Drama Plot I’m most interested right now, besides another one called Kill Me Love Me— but I’m reserving that specifically for said friend mentioned up in my above explanation.

Anyways, from my partner I’m gonna need at least 4 or more paragraphs, so long dedicated posts and at minimum weekly availability. I want to avoid burnout of this thread as much as possible. I know my own life gets in the way and I usually don’t demand of this, but I think I’m grasping at a dying dream I don’t want to see go away entirely. The amount of times I’ve checked to see recent activity on some things is uh…unhealthy behavior to say the least.

So, serious inquiries only, pretty good punctuation / grammar is a must. I will not rp with you if you haven’t seen this show at all. I need someone who has seen it and wants to rp it. I may not get anyone, but I’m hopeful.

Also to all other current rp partners, I apologize, my muse has been at an all time low but I’m getting back to the swing of things steadily.

And on a final note, I will not push or press for replies. If this thread burns out, it burns out. I understand people lose muse all the time and I will not personally blame you if you step away for a time. Hopefully we could always revisit in the future but figured I’d note that before I post this.
