Ok, so I borrowed the title from an old Twilight Zone episode..sue me...
Anyway, this one is slightly out of the box: a young girl in her 20's falls asleep on a commuter train and wakes up hours, possibly days later (turns out she was drugged). The train arrives in a small town that looks like it popped out of the 1950's....but something is wrong. All the townsfolk are women, not a man or boys to be seen.
The girl is met on the train by (female) police and taken forcibly to the police station. She is asked questions then whisked off to see the mayor (also female).
The mayor calmly explains the town is in some sort of time bubble, stuck in circa 1954. Once you arrive you can never escape. The men all died off decades ago, no one really remembers why....basically the town is populated with only lesbians.
The girl attempts escape and is jailed. The jailer, a woman in her 50's takes pity on the girl and after taking her again before the mayor, volunteers to have the girl live with her.
The girl reluctantly agrees. Once home, the jailer strips down to a classic white bra, girdle, garterbelt panties and hose, again straight out of the 50's (Think Bettie Paige)....the jailer explains all the women--ALL of them---are required to wear these.
I don't want to divulge too much of the plot but all the women look like Stepford wives, no jeans, capris, jogging pants or shorts can be seen....and what follows is even darker.
I prefer a female writing partner, but will consider a male only if he can write convincingly as a woman
