Somewhere, in the Hoenn region, a Trainer and his Partner 'Mon were plotting how they were going to get all the badges and become World Champions.
It was the same discussion as they'd had for months, ever since Jason had first gotten Markus as an Eevee from Professor Juniper of Johto. Since then, they had battled together, caught a number of other 'Mon and otherwise fought their way through both Kanto and Johto's Leagues. Now, here they were, Markus had evolved into a Vaporeon, and Jason had already beaten the Rock Type Gym Leader, Roxanne. Now though, the discussion had changed after they'd ran into tougher and tougher opponents, Jason losing faith in his abilities, and Markus suggesting that they needed to capture more powerful Pokemon to work alongside.

It was to this end that Jason and Markus were walking in the woods near Lavaridge town, hunting for the powerful Fire Type Pokemon that they'd been told lived and trained themselves in this area. And as they listened carefully, they'd be able to make out the sounds of exertion, as that 'Mon was obviously still training themselves up... To what end, who could tell? But right then, Jason grinned "This is it, Bud... Let's get ourselves a fire type, huh?" Markus nodded, and the pair stepped out into the clearing to see...

As they cleared the brush, they'd see a boulder getting worked over, the rapid fire sound of blows on stone, with unyielding exertion. At first one would think it was a fighting type going all out out, but they'd see a variable graveyard of shattered stones abd gravel. The Mon spun and scythed out a kick , cracking the stone in the center. She was muscular, strong looking, steaming with sweat, flowing blonde locks and orange gi bottoms, her top bound in bandages and blooming feathers. A combusken? A wild combusken?! A rare pokemon indeed.

Jason blinked in shock as she span out and smashed the boulder "Holy... A Combusken?" He gasped, even as Markus grinned "She looks hot..." He murmured to himself, before looking her up and down again "And pretty strong... Think she'd be perfect for the team?" He asked, even as their voices would inevitably draw her attention away from her training. Jason nodded to his Vaporeon's question "She'd be perfect, especially with that level of work ethic... You ready?" Markus nodded, stretching his neck as he walked across towards her "Born Ready, Jay. Hey, Hot Stuff. You up for a battle?"

Bonnie looked over her shoulder as she heard new voices nearby, pausing in her Kata as she listened. They wanted to recruit her? She folded her arms as she heard what the Mon thought of her ...apparently looking at more than her skills. Ugh. They had stepped onto her training grounds, interrupting her time now. "For what?" She said narrowing her eyes at Markus.

Markus tilted his head "Well... A Pokemon Battle? Me and you, fight till one of us gets knocked out? You win, we leave you alone, we win, My Trainer captures you and you join our team to win the World Pokemon league?" He responded to her, even as he settled into an easy ready stance, waiting for her to accept before launching any attacks. After all, he was going to at least act civilised. Jason, for his part was stood off behind his Vaporeon, biting his lip as he waited for her answer.

Bonnie scowled slightly. Clearly already wanting these two off her training ground. "Fine. I'll end this in 1 shot." She said as she stretched her legs out, Markus easily realizing...her thigh muscles were intense. Granted combusken and blaziken kicks were known to be insanely dangerous. If he wasn't careful, she probably could knock him out.

Markus blinked as she stretched her thighs and glanced back nervously to Jason, even as the trainer realised in tandem "Her kicks will..." "Hit me like a Truck, I know." The Vaporeon finished with a gulp, before taking a breath and waiting for Jason's first call "Alright, Markus... Start this off safely. Attract!" He called out, and Markus would nod, before catching Bonnie's eye and blowing her a kiss with a flirtatious wink "C'mon Hot stuff, do you really think we need to have this fight?" He asked, even as she'd find that... well, he seemed pretty good looking, and... maybe he didn't need to be gone too soon...

As Markus tried his luck, his flirtation met with a burst of energy as Bonnie was coming in hot, trying to ignore the flush that his stupid attempt at making pass at her forced on her. But the blossoming feeling that she felt inside distracted her kick making it stop just under his chin. "W-what did just say to me you idiot-"

He blinked in shock, taking a step back when her foot stopped just before striking him "Uh... Oh, sorry, I didn't ask for your name, did I Hot stuff?" He asked, even as Jason called out "Now, hit her with a Water Pulse!" A second later, the Vaporeon did exactly that, a ring of water striking her directly in the chest as she stood there infront of him.

Bonnie's eyes flickered with anger as she heard him speak, clearly about to lock in her leg and properly kick him this time. But Jason's quick call had protected Markus from a lovely trip to the Pokémon center. The ring blasted the xombusken, steam blasting off her hot skin as she was thrown backwards, rolling across the dirt...she shifted up slightly, almost terrifyingly , as not many Fire types could just tank a blast like that. She was hurt, but something was holding her on the edge of her feet. She dug into her Gi,pulling out an oran berry and chomping it, holding her energy up. "Ha-~ my name- isn't Hot Stuff!" She seethe as her feathers fluffed further, heat simmering off her.

Jason stared at the Combusken sitting back up, before shaking his head to clear it "Alright Markus, Aqua Jet now!" And almost as quickly as she'd originally tried to strike him, Markus was nothing but a blue of blue motion towards her, encased in a protective screen of water as he slammed into her, finishing the attack stood looking straight down "Well, you haven't exactly told me what to call you. Would you prefer Birdy?" He asked teasingly, even as he knew his Trainer would be readying a Poke ball to capture her, the red and white sphere already in the air and tumbling towards her.

Markus yelped as her foot snapped up and almost struck him, the white light pulling her into the ball saving him as it started to rock back and forth "Jeez girl... Ask a civil question..." He muttered, before picking the ball up and tossing it over to Jason once it clicked "Caught. Good job Buddy." The trainer called to Markus, before he let her back out, reaching for a potion to cure her wounds.

As she was released from the ball, Bonnie was a scowling glowering thing, even while Jason sprayed her with the potion to spoth her wounds. She didn't even flinch from the sting of medicine. "Bonnie." She said glaring at Markus then to Jason. That's my name." She grumbled, clearly still annoyed by the situation already.

Markus recoiled a little from the glare, even as Jason gave her a smile "Nice to meet you, Bonnie. My names Jason, this is Markus." Markus held his hand out to shake, if she wanted, even as Jason moved back, finished with the Potion "That should help, but if you want we can head to the Pokecenter in Lavaridge, get you checked out fully?" He suggested, glancing between the pair.

Markus frowned, but lowered his hand as he watched her pick up the bag, whilst Jason sighed "Okay. We'll go down, get both of you checked then we'll see where we go from there." And soon they were off, walking down towards Lavaridge and it's Pokecenter, where the Nurse gave Bonnie a look over before proclaiming her perfectly healthy. She then did the same for Markus, before Jason turned to the pair "So... What do you guys want to do now? There is the Gym here, but I think the Leader is out somewhere. There's also the hot springs, if you want to relax."

"If there's nobody around worth fighting, why don't we go looking for them?" Bonnie said shrugging as she climbed from the nurses table. "Or go looking for someone whose not hiding." She added as she folded her arms. "What do you think Fish Face?" She added looking at Markus

"Fi-Fish Face?!" Markus sputtered in response, moving so they were face to face "I think you're way too cocky for someone who got beat, Bird Brain!" He sniped back, even as Jason blinked and did his best to move between them "Okay, Okay, both of you chill out or your going back in your balls!" He told them, even as he grabbed out both of their balls, ready to make good on his threat if they continued to fight.

"Stay outta this scrawny!" She snapped to Jason, before rounding back on Markus. "If you think I lost that fight for anything else but dumb luck, your a fuckibg idiot!" She said standing up Msrkus, the two of them eye to eye. "If I kicked you like I was going to, you would have eating your berries in a smoothie for a week!"

Markus brought his own hand up and caught hers as she tried to shove him, an angry look still on his face “Not happening, Hot Stuff! You might be good with those kicks of yours, but no way you beat me when you can’t use ‘em” he retorted, even as Jason recalled them “Okay, that’s enough, both of you! You are meant to be partners, not fight each other!”

As the pair were sucked away, drawn apart by the pokeballs, Bonnie's thirst for violence made the ball in his hand wiggle. She had plenty left to say to Markus, probably by stepping on him in the dirt. She was certainly a hot-headed gal, something that Jason would have to look out for.

The venture from lavaridges hills and heat back through the route to mauville town, the electric gym was slow. Namely because of the steady blockades of road side trainers, or wandering Mon that would seek to make trouble. That was without Team Magma and Aqua screwing around lately as well as the news kept reporting on one mad stunt or another.

For the most part though, the walk back was easy enough. He and Markus had beaten the majority of the Trainers on his way up to Lavaridge town, so they gave him a wide enough berth, whilst he just avoided the long grass the wild ‘Mon hid themselves in. As for Team Aqua and Magma… well, if they showed themselves he was happy to teach them not to mess with him and his team.

A trainer was walking up thr route, a woman with a orange bandana covering her hair, a Jean jacket, black shorts and white leggings. Her ears were covered by large black headphones, listening to something it seemed as she was bobbing head, following a beat. In one hand was a Great ball, the other wrapped around the straps of her backpack . She stopped in front of Jason, looking up at him, smiling at him as she bobbed her head, clearly with no intention of just letting him dodge her.

Jason took a breath, rolling his eyes even as he reached back to grab Markus’ ball. But even as he did so, his fingers drifted over to Bonnies, as he debated which of the pair to use… well, he had planned on having her let out some steam, may as well be now. He kept eye contact with the girl, even as he flipped Bonnies ball out, watching the Combusken appear in a flash of light.

Bonnie landed on her feet, looking around. "What the hell is this?" She said turning as the trainer clicked her headphones, the girl dancing as she tossed her ball up in the air, dropping a Mon on the road. Landing on the ground was a Mon with purple pink clothes, large black sunglasses, and two pulsing speakers forming up from him as he transformed. The ground pulled and rumbled, bassy beats ripling off him. Bonnie looked over her shoulder at Jason....she folded her arms, tapping his foot slightly to beat.
