The raccoon city incident

Asanami or otherwise known as Reisaki or Rei by her friends was wandering the streets at night, having just picked up her bento from the nearest grocery store as it was the only place that was open at this time. Like, what the heck? What the heck is up with everything closing so early around here? I mean back in tokyo everything was always open. But the food wasn't that bad as it was ok for where she got it from. The stuff here they made for travelers or for people staying more long term like her was nothing like in japan. But that was to be expected when you move somewhere else entirely in the world for university. Rei continued to eat her food as she complained openly about it. " This sushi is pretty good compared to where its from it's a laughing stock like please can you make the rice any less dry?" Reisaki said frustrated with her situation that she found herself in as she walked through the streets at night looking for her new listed residency.

Asanami sighed again with a bow to the passing police vehicle to show respect to them as they started to hear a lot of police sirens go by again for almost the 30th time this week. "Again, are all cities in America this violent? No wonder all of their police look like our soldiers back home in Japan. I miss Kanto already, Tokyo although bigger was much safer and felt much more at home then this place. Too bad it was the only place accepting international applications after my mail came in to the other ones in Japan late because they got lost in the mail. I still remember how they said my applications came too late and since it was none of my own they would still accept me next year, but since my parents had already kicked me out for university and my lease expired soon on my apartment i had moved out of my parents home into for high school, I kind of had to find somewhere else to go for a year. I can't believe on such short notice how all this happened to me in such a short time fram. Why is it that i have to spend a year in this junkyard of a city anyway? Like couldn't i have gotten a job somewhere instead for a year?" Asanami would mutter to herself quietly as more and more police cars began to race by her as she ducked into her university domintory area as she finally made onto campus before realizing that the gate was closed for the night and she would have to find a hotel for the night and having no idea where to go, she would have to ask someone for directions in this junkyard of a sorry excuse for a city.

Rylie was leaving the city too, after the Spencer Incident was a complete disaster, her beloved Captain Wesker died to the Tyrant, she quitted S.T.A.R.S. and decided to quit and leave town for good. She knew the T virus was getting worse, Rylie knew Umbrella's intentions and she didn't care anymore, the blonde was ready to leave. Walking along the streets of the city that was slowly turning into hell, she held a bag of wine, proud of packing their things in boxes and ready to set off for a new adventure on her own. She can finally live her life the way she wants it.

On her way back to place, she noticed a woman was outside the university gate. Rylie remembers going to school once there for genetic engineering and Virology, she graduated top in her class. She blinks her eyes in confusing, approaching the scared girl. "Hello," she spoke calmly, like water in a creek. "Are you okay? You look a little distressed."

Reisaki looked at her and gasped in shock at the sudden appearance of the stranger and began to start blushing in embarassment at the production of a few startled noises coming from her mouth. "I'm sorry, but you really must not do that to me. I don't know you or anyone else in this town. Can you give me directions to the nearest hotel? If not i really don't want to talk to anyone." Rei said to her as kindly as possible in her slightly accented english.

She began to fiddle with her neckchief nervously as she began to talk to the stranger and asked some questions about the city. " Why do you have police cars constantly going by? I mean are all American cities this violent? Does one city require more officers than all of the southern region of japan?" Asanami said in slight annoyance but also in very obvious fear as the girl looked like she had just got out of high school less than a year ago from a very expensive school and you could just tell was the type to have not seen much violence as her demanor just screamed that she was from a very high end family.

It was in fact that her family did indeed own a few large stores in Kanto and in a few other regions in Japan. She was in fact still wearing her new school uniform that she planned on wearing to orientation at the school that she got for next year when she started university classes over there back in Japan because well, she didn't know exactly what else to wear and her anxiety about the whole situation rendered her unable to think properly and just grabbed her uniform instead that was not even going to need until a year from now anyway. Rei muttered openly in frustration at everything. "I'm literally 18 years old, i shouldn't have to deal with this garbage yet." Rei thought to herself not realizing she had just said that out loud and that she had complained about possibly someones hometown to their face.
