The Amber Groves of Litchenburg were the recently populated homesteads, a new farming land to funnel fresh food to the capital. Being brand new, the capital city had sent a barracks of military protection to over see its progress and gaurd the convoys. But tragically it lacked the manpower to handle asserting proactive measures against monsters and wild beasts that lurked within. Mercenaries and small time adventurers began cropping up, taking up jobs to strike back. But Luis was no such man, not a solider of fortune or a thrill seeker. He was a local, a large young man easily standing head abd shoulders above most, and wrapped in thick leather armor. He was rugged and silent, a gate watchmen that single handedly held the Forest Grove Gate from the Red Cap Goblins and bandits that had taken up in the rough hills to try to rob from the convoys for ransom.

Luis heard someone walking the roads, making him stand, reaching to his axe closely as he stepped to the center of the gates to face down whomever it was.

Lilith limped toward the gate with an arrow in her leg her form was flickering her ears and tail would go away and come back she would stand tall then shrink back down to her normal human size her vision was blurry and she could make out a man but she knew she had to be civil otherwise she wouldn’t make it
“Hello?” She questioned warily

Luis narrowed his eyes upon the shifting werewolf, he had heard if such things in the deep forests. But he saw the arrow and her conditions, and sensed no hostility. "What's happened to you?" He said as he looked her iver, assessing her danger, what had attacked her.

Luis leaned down, the human grabbing her up in his arms. "There's alot of humans out there these days." He said as he pulled her from the roadside to take her ti the gaurd station nearby. "Adventurers? Bandits?" He asked, hoping that none of his own people were foolish enough to attack the werewolf packs that weren't threatening anyone.

Luis shouldered the gaurd station door open, the reserve gaurds that were holding down the fort jumping up as Luis shadowed the doors with a injured civilian on tow. He hustled her inti the medical hall, a small room that was mostly for first aid, and emergency situations like this. "Hold my gate." Luis said over his shoulder as he snapped the arrow shaft , and started to stem the blood flow first. Other gaurds rushed to fill in his spot, about 5 to make up for his absence. He grasped the arrow, then started to pull it out.

"Sorry. I'm not a cleric." He said as the young woman grasped hold of him, letting him toss the arrow aside onto a bowl. "We'll have to do this the mundane way." He said as he put up a healers kit. He poured a green powder over her wound, and applied some practiced enough stitching. He began to bandage it up.

Luis hummed and scribbles it down. "I'll have to report that too..." He said ignoring her observation of his height for the moment. He had gotten alot of that in the past. "I'll need to take down information, are you living in the village, or are you with the packs outside it."

He nodded as he took the statement, the human closing his book. "I'll need your name and...I suppose as long as we can find you in the dark forest, it might be okay to let you leave the village. I personally would prefer you stay in the gaurd house until yiur healed and we find who shot you."

Luis ran up to her, admittedly feeling his pulse quickened and his lungs beginning to puff and gasp of air. He saw her slowing, catching himself to stop behind her as her body adapted the the area. "Ha- is this the place?" He said looking around to get a feel for the space in case he was going to come back.

"I smell...but it's not bad?" He said as he stepped closer, side eying her briefly. "So I smell....good?" He mumbled as he turned gus head at a brief rustle in the bushes, something moving in the under brush. Luis moved without thinking, backing up and facing the sound , maneuvering easily to stand between it and Lilith, snatching the other massive axe.
