He opened uo with a grounded, simple stance, his arms raising and throwing out a jab, the bag jostling backwards with a bounce. It was slowed down for her to take it all in, as he traded a few light blows first. "Find leverage and support in yiur stance, it has to be firm. Or you won't get enough force."

She watched the bag bounce and moved back to it, testing it with a more grounded blow of her own, even if she looked like Kobi, when he'd first started to learn from his father "Leverage... and Support..." She repeated, even as she moved to put another blow into the bag, her tongue poking from the corner of her mouth in focus.

 

[Knight_of_None]

He smiled slightly, stepping back. "That's right. It doesn't have to be fancy...you're snot fighting fir a camera, your fighting for your safety " He said as he moved around to steady the bag again. "Now work the bag, I want you to make a 1-2 rhythm, and use it."

 

[RedCoat]

“Okay… one two rhythm…” she mumbled, even as she started to hit it, twice in quick succession, her left handed strike significantly weaker than the right as she performed it.

He nodded as he sensed the weakness kn her left, no surprised, it was her offhand, and not many practiced working with their non dominant without reason. "Now try again, pivot into your left more."

 

[RedCoat]

She grunted as she followed, twisting into the left side punch further, putting more strength behind each of her blows, following his instructions with each movement.

 

[Knight_of_None]

"There we go, you're already catching on. And this is without moves. I'm sure you know a few." He said as he encouraged her

She nodded slowly, but shook her head as she considered what he meant "Mo... most of the moves I know aren't really useful for fighting... I know Moonlight, Copycat, Charm and Take Down..."

"Not often the most powerful attacks, but they are still better than nothing." He said. "You could pick up sine new trucks "

 

[RedCoat]

"Mmm... Maybe..." She sighed softly, biting her lip "I jus... Azure likes my moves..."

 

[Knight_of_None]

Boon raised a brow then snorted. "Oh. I see...hm. you could get a TM machine, they are permanent disc's these days, you could keep moves at the ready"

 

[RedCoat]

"TM... Machine?" She considered it for a minute, even as the blush raised unbidden on her face from how easily he'd seen through her "M... Maybe... That might be a good idea..."

 

[Knight_of_None]

Boon gives her a faint chuckle and shakes his head at her, taking her to the center if the hearth. "Alright, time for a real test."

 

[RedCoat]

"A real... Test?" She replied softly, even as he lead her into the middle of the arena, wondering exactly what he was about to do, one of her hands instinctively drifting down to her belly, where her egg lay, even if she wasn't showing yet.

"Best way to learn a bit is to use your tools. I'll face you, and be your attacker, all you have to do is put up a fight." He said

 

[RedCoat]

"You want... oh dear." She mumbled as he stepped back away from her, her hands raising slowly into a ready position, waiting for him to attack, tension visible in every centimetre of her body.

 

[Knight_of_None]

"I'll go easy on you." Boon said as he shifted forward a step, his hand snapping out in a open palmed strike.

 

[RedCoat]

She barely reacted, the strike landing solidly in the middle of her chest and sending her to the floor, even with him pulling the blow so much.

 

[Knight_of_None]

Boon winced as Shade seemed to just take the hit, moving uo to her quickly. "Shade? Are yiu okay?"

 

[RedCoat]

Shade groaned weakly as he knelt down next to her "No... Ow..." She mumbled, still lying flat on the ground.

 

[Knight_of_None]

"Now, that's good. You didn't pass out at least." He said reaching to help her up. "You locked up, what happened?"

 

[RedCoat]

"Locked up... I barely even saw you move..." She replied, taking his hand as he offered it "I blinked and suddenly was on the ground."

 

[Knight_of_None]

"Huh, I thought i slowed that down. " He said thoughtfully, giving Shade a clear idea of just how far Boon was from...just about any average Mon that wasn't a fighter. "I'll try that again."

 

[RedCoat]

She blinked and stepped away, trying to ready herself again, but even slowing down further would do little, her movements so late compared to his that he could've posted the strike at her and still hit.

 

[Knight_of_None]

(XD pfft Boon: here Shade hands her an envelope)

Boon moved his hand out, letting her see it coming, his hand reaching out to grapple at her. "All yiu need to do is punch"

 

[RedCoat]

(Shade: Ooh, a letter? Opens it and gets punched in the face by a boxing glove)

Shade reacted by... shying away, hiding behind her arms and curling away as he approached, clearly not listening.

 

[Knight_of_None]

He watched her shy backwards, his hand pausing in front of her and then pulling back lightly. Then popping his fist against her, a light jab to knock her gaurd open.

"Uh... Huh!" She was already parting her arms after he paused, before his jab passed cleanly between them to bop her directly on the nose, surprise more than pain drawing a noise of discomfort from her.

(XD Boon: I hope she atleast is learning to keep her gaurd up-

Shade: punch drunk huh-)

Boon stepped forward as she staggered, her opened gaurd letting him bop her again twice on each cheek. "Gaurd has to stay up as long as you can keep it. If I wanted to put you to sleep, you would be waking up in a comfy bed right now. " He shifted his stance, raising his arms in a closed simple boxers stance. "You want to gaurd yourself."

 

[RedCoat]

Shade blinked as he popped two more gentle taps onto her face, his words hitting harder with how easy he found it to break into her attempt at guarding "Oh... Uhm... right..." She mumbled, looking down at the ground even as her arms drooped a little. Clearly, his words were demoralising her.
