Shade paused, before smiling and nodding "Oh, Thanks Max! I'll see you soon, Azure" She finished, hanging up the phone and handing it back, spinning back to check on the pastries that were already baking.
Max set the phone back on the hook with a soft click, the ovens toasting the small loaves rising up and forming. The Blastoise came around, going into the fridge to start the next batch. "Can't disappoint our regulars!"
Shade gave Max a jaunty salute, even as she pulled her last batch of pastries out, putting them on the cooling racks and mixing a bowl of icing to pipe over them, when they'd cooled off enough "If he had a choice, he'd never leave" She laughed as she mixed.
"Ah I think that's your hard work, not just the cafe." Max said with a slight laugh. "Everyone has a favorite." He said as he laid out the frosting bags. The front door bell rung as someone came in. "Ahem...would you like to take the outdoor terrace today?" The Hostess said politely as a drenched Azure was leaning inti the doorway. Dabbing himself off with a towel as if he had some fresh from a shower. Albeit fully dressed. His shirt was light blue, sticking to his frame, curving to his muscles. He had trunks on, likely having switched off from normal clothes that he stashed in his back.
Shade smiled back to Max, before hearing the doorbell ring and poking her head out, giving a soft laugh as she looked Azure up and down "Oh you silly thing, you did go through the river..." She chuckled to herself, before walking out with a wave, gently taking Azures arm and leading him out "Yes, I think we will. Lest Max go mad at the water on the floor..." She informed the Hostess, finding Azure a seat in the sun, to better help him dry off.
"It's fast for me." He said as she guided him back outside. "And I got here-" he teased as he rubbed her hand, his arm flexing in her hands. The outside eating area was bright and sunny, with a iron waist high fence. Along the top edge was lined with flower boxes. Azure sat down across from her, pulling off his shirt to lay ot aside.
"Yeah Yeah, I know." She shook her head, feeling his muscle flex as they sat down, even as one of the Leafeon girls was already bringing over Azure's favourite dish, a cookie in the design of an Umbreon as well as a cup of his favourite drink. When he took his shirt off though... hoo boy, the temperature felt like it skyrocketed for Shade.
"...shade?" Azure said as he looked over at her, as she was ogling at him so hard. "Shady?" He said waving his hand in frin of her face. "You want to put jelly on em?"
“Whu… why would you put Jelly on a bun? We use Jam.” She corrected, before her brain caught up properly to remind her “Oh, right. Different meanings.” She laughed softly, shaking her head, even as she watched him nibble his cookie, the act having a much different meaning now they were a couple. Or at least, she saw it that way.
He blinked at her. "...we-we use Jam? Why?" Hevsaid almost innocently. Granted. Shade was way more experienced than him. He chomped the cookie, munching it.
"Wait, didn't you mean... I thought Jelly was the name for Jam in this region..." She mumbled softly, looking at him as he munched his way through the Umbreon cookie with a growing smirk "Mmm, taste good?"
"It is- I just was...heh. nevermind. Hecsaid chuckling. "We're both crossing some wires today." He said as he sipped his drink. Her nect question made him smile ar hee, that warm, broad smile if his thar melted his fans like butter. "It's so good!" He agrees as he took another bite.
She shrugged a little as he said about them crossing wires, before nodding to his words and leaning in a little closer "Mmm, so what tastes better, that or me?"
He blushed slightly. "Uh- this takes like sugar..." He said looking at the treat. Then looked at her. "I don't know if I can say without a direct match..."
She shot him a wink "Mmm, well I guess you'll have to wait for tonight." She told him, one hand lifting a fold in her skirt slightly, to tease him with the idea of her lifting it all the way up "I'll even bring one home, special for you."
He blushed darker as she teased him, looking away rapidly to take a bigger bite. "Well- uh- that's uh- good to kniw-" he said as as he tried to keep away frin looking.
She smirked at the blush, before sitting back a little and tilting her head "Oh, do you think you'll have time to pick up another uniform for me, or do I need to get it myself?" She asked, having to be less overt now another girl was leading someone else out onto the patio.
"Mmm, Can't wait." She smiled, nodding to his words before tilting her head "So, what's the meeting later about anyway?" She asked him, forgetting he'd already said he was under an NDA.
