Fia had fucked up, the fact that she was sitting on a hospital bed, wearing a little black dress that hit her mid thigh with matching heels, waiting for her boss to come and pick her up showed her how bad her addiction to being fed on by vampires had gotten. Fia had hoped to keep her little addiction hidden from everyone she worked with by making sure no vampire fed on her in any place she couldn’t easily cover with clothes, but now her boss, of all people was most likely going to know her dirty little secret by putting the pieces together since a small bit of the bite on her left thigh that landed her in the hospital was peaking out the bottom of her dress.

Sure, she doubted it would creep him out as Fia guessed that he was a vampire because she had seen him drink from small dark vials, of what she could only assume was blood whenever he worked late, but Fia had never spoken to him about it as it wasn’t her business to ask her boss of all people if he was a vampire or some kind of hybrid that needed to drink blood.

She knew some hybrids needed to also drink blood to stop themselves from getting sick.

Fia also didn’t bring anything like that up with her boss since Fia was simply a receptionist, and whilst it was her job to notice everything, it was also her job to keep her mouth shut. Being a receptionist allowed her to learn a lot about those around her, even though most people gave her very little attention.

Normally being fed on didn’t cause any problems for her since she was a Fae, but one of the men who had fed on her had obviously been a much lower vampire and her body had reacted negatively to the man’s venom. The interaction left her with a concussion after passing out in the bar she had been in, it had also had left her with a lovely gash on her forehead, Fia wasn’t worried about it though as she knew by morning it would be mostly healed. It was one of the best things about being a Fae, she healed quickly.

As she sat on the hospital bed Fia was trying to think of anything she could possibly say to her boss about why he was the one she had told the hospital to call without telling him who her parents were or why she didn’t contact either of them instead.

That was another secret of Fia’s, no one around her knew she was a Fae or that her parents oversaw the Spring Court and as such there was no way she would ask them to come and get her because they would ask too many questions.

Fia didn’t want her parents to know anything about her proclivity for being bitten by vampires as she doubted that it would go down well with her parents as they were always harping on about her finding a good Fae boyfriend.

Hearing the door of the room she was in starting to open Fia looked up and bit her bottom lip a little, as the door fully opened she shuffled slightly on the bed trying to tug down the hem of her dress more over her thighs as she looked at her boss standing in the doorway, “Hi” Fia said sheepishly.

Aden wasn't too pleased when he had caught wind that one of his employees was in the ER. And it wasn't just any employee, it was Fia, the woman who had the proclivity of being bitten by down worlders, some commonly known as vampires. It had been the odd chance of where he had noticed her staring at him sometimes while they were in the office together, and he knew she was trying to see whether or not he too was a vampire.

He was a careful man. At least he thought.

Aden had escaped the realm of hybrid royals, and standard lycan/hybrid pack norms. His lineage was quite confusing, if one didn't start at the beginning. On his mother's side, he came from a line of the hybrid royals, although his mother had been a cousin of the hybrid queen and had not been turned into a vampire until much later after a tragedy had befallen the kingdom she had resided in.

His mother had obviously fled and accidentally ended up in a realm far away from the one she had known. There she had met Aden's father, and eventually had him and one younger sibling. But Aden never knew his father, for it had been said that he had passed away when he was just a young fledgling.

So, Aden never really knew what the other half of him was supposed to be. He knew he could walk in the daytime without the help of daytime jewelry, but there was this urge of something else he could not place. He had thought that perhaps he could take a 'supernatural' blood DNA test, given that if he wanted answers that would be the best way to go about this. Knowing his mother to be a secretive person, he was sure that if he had asked her about his lineage, she wouldn't give the answers he was looking for.

But those answers would have to wait.

For now, he had walked up to where Fia's room was and opened the sliding door. His deep blue eyes fell on her frame and noted how she had tried to cover up the bite she so desperately wanted to hide. At her pitiful 'Hi', he looked her once over and tilted his head. "I thought there was more sense of urgency on why you were admitted.." he began, walking into the room and shutting the door behind him. Taking a seat near her bed, his jawline clenched slightly as he assessed the situation. "For now, I won't need an explanation, but after you're discharged from here you'll need to tell me on where I should take you for the time being," he mentioned next, figuring that she wouldn't want to tell anyone of this-- like her parents.

He didn't care that she wished to be a 'feeder' for vampires and hybrids alike. What he did care was of her safety, for something deep rooted inside of him chose to do so, but he could not explain the reason why.
