General RP Damnit, There's Kids Now! (Firestarter)

AS the car pulls up to the orphanage, Derek lets our a heavy breath and runs his fingers through his hair, "We're here...time to go get our bundle of joy." He laughs nervously before climbing out of the car and holding the door for Kalin.
 
Derek straightens his shirt and nods once before leading Kalin inside. It felt they were just talking about adopting a child the other day and here they were, months later and picking up their child.
 
As they walk into the building, the head mistress smiles and leads them to her office.

"Hello again Mr. and Mr. Gatemen, I'm so pleased to be able to help build your family." She says while motioning for them to take a seat on the couch in her office.
 
Kalin smiles slightly, pressing into Derek's side. "Thank you." He looks at Derek and then back at the woman.
 
Derek smiles and gulps softly as he holds Kalin's hand, "Yes, Thank you very much for all of your help. We are more than excited to meet them."

The Mistress smiled and walked over to another door in her office before slowly opening it. There stood a young girl who was no more than 4 years old with light brown hair that was tied into pigtails with pretty pink bows and green eyes that almost matched Kalin's. "This is Demi. She's 4 years old. Go say hi to your new daddies, Demi."
 
Kalin swallows, trembling. His grip tightens on Derek's hand, his nails digging in slightly. "Hi. . ." He murmurs.
 
Demi tucked her hands behind her back and stepped a little closer while looking up at the red haired man with big, glistening eyes. "Hi..." She says in a sheepish voice. When she turned and looked at the hulking man with black hair, her eyes widened and she stumbled back a step. "Wow....you're really big!"

Derek chuckled and squeezed Kalin's hand tightly, "Hi there, I might be really big, but that's so I can protect you."
 
Kalin laughs softly, "Yeah, he's all about that." He offers his hand to Demi. "Im Kalin."
 
Demi tilts her head slightly as she looks at Kalin's hand before placing her own tiny hand inside his. "Ka-lin...daddy Kalin?" She asked while looking up at him with genuine innocence.

Derek smiles and tries to remain quiet as he watches, feeling his heart fill with joy.
 
Demi turns to look at the bigger man and tils her head to the other side, "Der-ek...daddy Derek!" She says happily, bouncing on her toes lightly.

A tear threatens to fall from Derek's eye as he smiles at Demi, "Yes, sweetie, I'm daddy." He reaches out and gently pats her head before looking at Kalin, trying not to cry.
 
Kalin smiles brightly, "Yeah." He leans into Derek for a moment before looking at Demi. "How do you feel about coming home with us?"
 
Demi looked down shyly and rubbed the toe of her little white shoe into the floor, "Can I bring my teddy bear, Mr. Stuffy with me?"
 
"Of course, ready bears are a must have." He stands, and holds Demi's hand, "Let's get him together."
 
Derek smiles and he watches Kalin and Demi walk back to her room to gather her things, taking a moment to let his tears fall while he finalized any paperwork. "Thank you against Madam Mora. I promise that Demi will be well taken care of and loved until the day Kalin and I die."

The Mistress smiled and filed away the paperwork before patting Derek on the arm, "I know she will be. Now go after your daughter and your husband."

Derek wiped his tears away and nodded before quickly catching up with Kalin and Demi.
 
Demi hums happily and finishes grabbed her things before hugging her Teddy bear tightly. "This is Mr. Stuffy! He's my bestest friend!" She exclaims, swinging back and forth as she squeezes the Teddy beat.

Derek walks in and smiles as he finds the adorable scene.
 
Kalin watches, still fidgeting as he leans into Derek. "He's adorable." He smiles.
 
Derek smiles and nods in agreement, "Let's get you and Mr. Stuffy home so you can see your new room."

Demi squeals and hugs both Kalin and Derek's legs, "Thank you, thank you, thank you!"
 
Kalin smiles softly, touching the top of her head. He looks at Derek, kissing his cheek.
 
Derek smiles and helps pick up Demi's bag before leading them to the door. "Let's go home."
 
After helping Kalin and Demi into the car, Derek takes his seat.

Demi smiles and hugs her Teddy bear tightly. "Will you guys love me forever?"
 
"Forever and ever." Derek affirms, petting Demi's head gently as they start to drive home.
 
Once they get home, Derek helps both of them out of the car and smiles as Demi looks around in amazement.

"This is our home?"
