General RP Damnit, There's Kids Now! (Firestarter)

Trenton takes a deep breath and continues to stare at the road as he drives. "Mr. Gatemen is one of the most powerful, intelligent, and honestly, quite terrifying men I've ever met. When he hired me, I was nothing but a bigger on the streets at 17. He cares deeply for those he loves and considers close." Pulling off into a random parking lot, Trenton parks the car and turns to face Kalin. "You especially, sir. He has never loved someone the way he loves you. After you two began your relationship, he spent many nights trying to figure out ways to make you happy since he'd only ever been with women before."

Kalin hums softly, "I won't let him fire you because you did something asked, you know." He leans forward, closer to the other.

"Because I would hate nothing more than someone stopping me from doing what I want." He pauses, "That sound s like a threat."

He laughs, "It's not, I swear. I'm just trying to say he won't fire you for doing something that makes me happy, no matter how much it frustrates him. Okay?"

Derek sighs and glances at Trenton, nodding his head to the side to send Trenton off before closing his eyes and leaning his head back. "I understand that, but don't you think it would be smart for me to know. I get that you didn't want me to get upset but...I'm hurt at the fact that you would do something that could get you hurt without telling me."

Turning around, Derek walks to the bedroom to get changed out of his work clothes, slowly unbuttoning the cuffs of his sleeves.

Derek remains silent as he gets undressed, placing his clothes in the hamper while slipping on a pair of thin basket ball shorts and a sleeveless muscle shirt. Turning to face Kalin, Derek sighs and places his hands on his hips. "Like I said, I understand that, but I still would've liked to be told that way I could help if something went wrong."

Turning away, Derek walks back out to the kitchen to start cooking dinner.
