Fantasy Character: Sean Mclaughlin
Backstory:
From a young age, he had lived a pretty quiet life, at a remote village not too far from the capital, living with his Mother and Sister. His Father is one of the King’s Generals, so he often has to leave for long stretches of time, but he is the one who taught Sean how to use a bow. His Mother was the town’s Head Priestess, teaching him that compassion and kindness will always lead down the right path.
However, then the wars started. The sudden rise of monster encampments, traitorous kings, and the occult, has started leaving the land in a real mess. Naturally, this meant that his Father would have to leave for who knows how long. And his Mother had to spend most of her time tending to the sick, comforting the dying, trying to keep everyone’s hopes up. But that didn’t have much money in it, and taxes were raised high for the war efforts.
This left Sean with taking care of his sister and earning the rent, going out into the forest to hunt and sell meat and fur. Very proficient with a bow, especially with the help of his pet, and handy with a dagger as well.
Personality:
Sean is incredibly kind. Perhaps a bit…too kind. Everyone in the village knew him, and everyone had been helped by him at least once. Always going out of his way when someone was in trouble. Diving through thorns someone is trapped in, taking in hungry travelers for a night, simple favors like getting a toy off a roof or helping the mage sort their books, to more serious tasks like tending to wounds or comforting a child who had just lost her parents. He truly hated to see suffering, and worked tirelessly to keep everyone happy. However, this is also his greatest weakness; He has no self worth. He truly believes his own happiness and safety don’t matter, as long as everyone around him are fine.
His Pet:
One day, he found this little falcon. Broken wing, probably attacked by an animal and left to bleed out. Sean quickly took her in, mending her wing, treating her wounds, feeding her. And inevitably, this falcon became his companion. Named Phoenix, for coming back from the brink of death, Sean has spent years training with her, becoming a valuable hunting partner. Retrieving arrows, scouting for prey, warning for predators. The two definitely have an inseparable bond!

Finally, the plot:
The world was in a little bit of chaos at the moment. With the looming threat of evil, monster raids becoming more frequent, cults recruiting more and more, and the worry in everyone’s mind that the gates of Ruin and Despair were about to come crashing down. The world was in desperate need of a hero.
While I was hunting through the woods outside of my little village, I slipped and fell into a cave, a grand shrine leading right beneath the village. There was even a ladder up to the center of town, at an entrance seemingly no one had known about. Along this shrine was a mural, a prophecy, that the day that his shrine was ever discovered was the day that the Hero would begin his quest, scaling mountains and crossing oceans, to destroy the wicked God tearing the world apart. It even has a…very familiar looking picture of the hero…and his pet falcon…oh boy.
So yeah, just a simple plot for a kind, selfless, and possibly very hung hero to travel the world, meeting plenty of interesting characters and unable to resist helping anyone he sees on the way. Maybe growing a little bit of a traveling party, like a girl from his village that has had a crush on him for years, a knight assigned to keep him out of real danger, a personal servant who has never been treated as anything more than a tool, or maybe even a spy for this evil God who slowly converts to our side. I even wouldn’t be opposed to you playing as his falcon, suddenly gaining a human form at some point!
It’s all up for discussion! I’m even fine with pairing up with guys and futas! And maybe he even has a blessing from a Love Goddess, growing stronger with everyone who falls in love with him, or maybe everybody who is in my party is also prophesied so I have specific people to find first. But again, it’s your world. We can add or subtract whatever you like!
