Fantasy RP Maybe He’s Just Addicting (FaeWhisperer)

Kas watches the man's gaze move to the pile next to the bed and shrugs slightly. He wouldn't pass up something obviously made for him and that looked so comfortable. He stares at the pile a moment longer before looking back up, his head tilting to the side slightly. He was curious about this creature before him and the others dwelling in the large and beautiful, if not slightly dark, mansion. He couldn't help being curious and wanting to know more about this new place that may just become his new home.

The walls of the building breathed age and ancient secrets, ones he might be inclined to find and learn if he ever grew to trust this man. From what little he had seen, it also screamed wealth right into his face. And not new money either. Money that had been around for generations, and kept close. He runs his hand over the blanket he sat upon, mulling over the words just spoken to him. He watches the wrinkles shift with his movement, and then slides his hand forward slightly. He sighs softly, "Fine." He murmurs, looking back up.

"Whatever works." His head tips to the side, curiosity in his gray eyes. "What do you mean. . . 'intimate situations'?"

Nathaniel heard Kas’ question and he leaned back slightly. “Well.. we vampires..especially those who indulge in coupling with one another or our servants, we tend to bite the neck the most- as it offers the most pleasure there while in the act,” he explained, hoping that would satisfy his curiosity.

“I did it in public to demonstrate control over you,” he sighed and put his fingers to the bridge of his nose, pinching it and closing his eyes. “Look,” he began with a sigh, “I’d rather not continue on this subject, if that’s alright with you” and Nathaniel seemed frustrated-not with Kas, but with the idea of him ‘being intimate’ with another once more. At least, Kas would be able to sense this was a sensitive topic for the vampire.

Kas nods slightly, "Oh- so it's like-" He pauses, his head tipping to the side. He huffs softly, his soft mouth forming into the lines of a pout. He still wanted to ask more questions, but Kas wasn't a jerk. If the other didn't want to explain further, Kas would push him. But that didn't mean Kas was satisficed. On fact, it only served to make Kas even more curious, why would this man not want to answer simple questions from Kas?

He nods once, the pout still on his lips as he looks away. He stays still, staring at the floor and swinging his feet. He didn’t really know what to do now and was mildly content to just sit there and do nothing. But he was also starting to get restless. He wanted to do nothing and anything at the same time.

“Well..” Nathaniel would sigh out. “How about some rest then? I’m sure you’re exhausted from such an overwhelming day..” he breathed out, and wondered what Kas was thinking. He had to admit though, Kas was..very attractive. And even if he didn’t wish to keep Kas as a pet, something about the mortal was..enticing in a way. But Nathaniel couldn’t quite place his thumb on why he thought that way. He shouldn’t be..he knew becoming attached again wasn’t what he was after, for he knew that becoming attached was a bad thing for him.

Kas blinks and looks up at Nathaniel, nodding slightly. He stands and stretches, closing his eyes for a long moment. He lets out a soft squeak before flopping down onto the pile of pillows and blankets. It was indeed as warm and soft as it looked and his feet had lead him to believe. He looks up at Nathaniel, his head tilting to the side slightly before he yawns and closes his eyes again.

He covers his mouth with his hand and then rubs his eyes. He wondered what would come in the next day, and what he would have to do. He hoped it wasn’t anything bad, and he certainly didn’t want to get hurt. He didn’t quite know what his role as a ‘pet’ would be. Probably not serving, he knew nothing about that. . . But maybe following and pleasing? He was unsure, and he never liked to be unsure. It was something he didn’t know and would much prefer some sort of book to tell him.

He laid back against the pile, quiet and running a hand through his dark hair, slowly relaxing.

Watching the mortal man just plop down like that, Nathaniel had to refrain another laugh- which came out through an exhale from his nose. "I can see that you're comfortable?" he asked, leaning over him a little. "And I can sense your worrying, you know.." he said next, not knowing exactly what Kas was worried about, but he had a few ideas. "All I can promise you for now is that you will be protected," he spoke, his voice firm. And on his words leaving his mouth- somehow, Kas might even believe him-- even if the man saying those words had sharp fangs and his own desire for bloodlust.

Kas grumbles softly, looking back up at Nathaniel for a long moment, “Maybe.” He shrugs, yawning again and rolling onto his side, his back to the other male and pulling his knees to his chest. He curls up into a ball, relaxing and nestling his face into the pillows and pulls a blanket over himself. He lets out a soft grumble.

His eyes open again, his head turning slightly, his eyes still closed, “Okay. . ?” He mumbles, his voice sleepy. Kas had always been proud of his ability to basically fall asleep at command, it he was tired, all he had to do was lay down and tell himself to go to sleep and a few minuets later, he would be asleep.

He blinks his eyes open, dropping his head back against a pillow again and looks up at Nathaniel, “And. . ?” He asks, yawning yet again.

Nathaniel sighed and shook his head, noting how sleepy the mortal had become and pulled back, "Just rest. I'll be here when you wake," it wasn't like he was going to go anywhere. Thankfully his bed had been spelled so that he would be able to enter a sleep like state too, finally settling down and staring at the ceiling, listening to Kas' breathing.

Kas hesitates before nodding, "Okay." He blows out a soft breath, his fingers curling slightly into the blankets. He stares at his lap, swallowing thickly.

"Yeah. . . Okay, that's fine. . ." He nods again, looking back up at Nathaniel. He shifts slightly and looks back towards the nest. "So, what am I here for anyways? It can't have been to just be a blood bag."

His head tilts to the side slightly, looking at Nathaniel and then casting his gaze around the room as if looking for hints.

He didn't see anything he hadn't spotted before, the place was neat, so it wasn't like these vampires needed a cleaning service. Or a cooking one, for that matter. Kas had no clue what he was to do.

“You’re here to be a companion…” Nathaniel said bluntly, as he had settled into his bed, still sitting upright. “The one who gifted you to me deemed it necessary as he had apparently noticed how ‘lonely’ I was,” he shakes his head as if he couldn’t believe the statement either.

Kas would notice some truth to the vampire, and how odd he had been acting before in public and now a whole different demeanor was there presented for him— perhaps the vampire hadn’t had a companion in a long while and forgot how to socialize?

No.. he was surrounded by his subjects, others like him- of course Nathaniel wouldn’t have been secluded and holed up in his room night after night.

But looking further among the room, although neat, he would see that there were displacements of things here and there, as if someone had tried making it neat last minute before he had entered the room.

Kas blinks. A companion? "What kind of companion?" Hale asks, fidgeting slightly and looking at the floor.

"I mean, like, your friend? Or your personal servant? Your confidant? All of the above?"

He looks back up at Nathaniel, gray eyes curious and confused. Why would anyone pick him to be someone's companion! He wasn't exactly friend material. He'd always been alone at home, no one wanted to hang out with him. They all found him strange. A little orphan that no one wanted or cared for, left at the doorstep of son random house. Not even that, but his completion and looks didn't even match any of the locals. Dark hair, light eyes and a fair complexion while the locals had light brown hair, matching eyes and olive skin. Kas stood out like a sore thumb.

He peers at the male before him, silent for long moments before blowing out a breath and looking away. His car locked on the few things out of place and he tilts his head to the side slightly.

He was unaware of a moment he hadn't seen Nathaniel unless it was before the. . . Being given to him. It had seemed like he was supposed to blue a surprise, so had word leaked? Or was the man fast enough to move about the room without Kas noticing before he stepped in the tidy it up slightly?

It didn't really matter and he looked back to the vampire, smiling slightly, if a little uncomfortable.

Noticing his uncomfortableness, the man sighed and shook his head, “I’m sorry, I-“ he looked over to him.

“I think they meant for you to be my..companion as in, bed companion,” he murmured out, seemingly a bit annoyed at that fact. “I told them, I didn’t want one— I had no desire for one..” he looked a bit apologetic towards Kas.

“I won’t force you to do any of that,” he tells him now.

Kas blinks slowly, staring at Nathaniel, clearing his throat. "Well, I mean. . ." He looks away, shifting slightly before blowing out a heavy breath. "If that's what you want from me. . ?"

He shrugs, looking back at the other. "I can't really complain, can I? I mean, being here is better than my home." He chews his lip, squirming slightly.

"Better you than any of those other. . . Assholes." He adds, shaking his head.

"I'm sorry, I just. . . If it's what I'm here for. . ."
