Moving into the new dorm, Angelique made sure that she looked as normal as possible. She tried to blend in the best she could, covering up scales on her body and wearing colored contacts. She knew the new university she attended to was monster friendly, but still she found it hard that her kind still seemed to be targeted. And her kind being snake monsters, which in the past had caused many troubles for humans, both bad and — well, no, just bad.

But not all snake monsters were bad, and she hoped that down the line she would be able to prove it.

She then heard her new human roommate enter, and head to her side of the dorm. Angelique had been wondering who her roommate would be, and she wasn’t shocked to see it was a human. It made sense, given this was a predominantly human uni. Angelique had transferred here in her third year, so it would be hard finding new friends.

She turned and went to go introduce herself. Approaching her Angelique gave her a small smile, “Hi,” she started off, “I’m your new roommate, my name is Angelique,” she hoped this woman would be friendly.

Unfortunately for Angelique, her Roommate seemed pre-occupied, juggling 20 items as she pushed past "Yeah, Nice to meet you, Sorry can't chat!" She called from behind the pile, her speech rushed as she went by, dumping the pile, grabbing three books and vanishing back out of the door, clearly in a hurry to get somewhere. She hadn't even said her name in her hurried state...

Around an hour later, she came back in, the three books still in her hands as she once again gave little attention to her new roommate, dropping the books onto the pile as she fell face first into her bed, groaning weakly "Ugh... I hate how big this place is..." She muttered into her pillow, before realising she wasn't alone in the room anymore, pushing herself back up "Oh fu... Right, sorry... Angela, right?" She smiled across to Angelique, slowly raising a hand to wave.

(I'll find an image later, but I'm not sure her appearance matters XD)

Angelique was startled to say the least, but stepped back as it seemed the woman was in a rush to get somewhere. She figured it was probably classes and she moved back to her bed to go over her schedule. Thankfully classes for her didn’t start until later in the afternoon.

When her roommate returned she picked her head back up and looked over to her side of the dorm. “Oh! Uh..it’s, Angelique,” she murmured out to her, waving back. She was sat criss crossed on her bed, a schedule in her hands.

Angelique couldn’t help but laugh softly at the interaction, knowing how tired humans usually could get when they pushed themselves. She then turned her attention back to the schedule and looked up on her phone where that building was. Given the location, it seemed that it was quite a walk away, and looking at the time, she figured she should go on and get to the building now, so she wouldn’t be late.

She stood and took her book bag, before grabbing her water bottle and putting her shoes on. Heading out, she wondered what life would be like here, hoping it would be different than her last university.

As she walked out into the campus proper, she'd have to take a minute to process the size. It was at least twice as large as her last university, and as she started to walk around the main building, she'd have to regret leaving when she had. She'd clearly underestimated the distance to her first lecture, and as she got there she'd find herself being about 5 minutes late with the professor sighing as she slipped inside "Ah. Angelique, yes? It is a poor impression, to be late on your first day." He mused, before gesturing to an empty seat.

Angelique looked to the side when the teacher made eye contact. “Sorry, I underestimated the size of this class,” she apologized and sat down on the empty seat that she was motioned to. She was very nervous, but she decided to steel her nerves as she brought out her laptop and notepad. Finding a pen, she clicked it and began catching up to the five minutes she had missed. She was unaware though that the person she sat next to in this lecture was the brother of her roommate.

As she sat down, she'd see a faint familiarity in the person she was sat next to, but nothing more. Instead, it wouldn't be until around 30 minutes in that he even spoke to her, quietly "So. First day nerves got to you?" He asked softly, not drawing any attention to them even as the Professor continued to drone on through his lecture.

She hadn’t been expecting anyone to talk to her, so it gave her a bit of a fright and she jumped slightly in her seat. “O-oh..eh..kinda?” She replied in a hushed tone, chewing her lip a little. She took it upon herself to glance at the guy, her eyes looking over his face. He did seem a bit familiar to her, but she couldn’t place as the reason why.

A soft blush crept up on her cheeks as he gave her a reassuring smile and she looked away briefly, her eyes wandering back over after a few moments. “Angelique, Angelique Carter,” she says in return. She looked down at her spiral notebook and wrote something on one of the pages as she continued to listen to the professor. He was saying to go over the syllabus and that they would have a quiz on it later. She then realized that she never got a copy of the syllabus because she had arrived late.
