Fantasy RP Pleasure of midnight (FaeWhisperer)

Vampire parties were boring, at least for humans they were, but they paid good money for those who were willing to donate their blood. That was how Avery had found herself laying on one of several tables spread throughout a large dinning room, she wore a simple floor length white satin dress, and her white hair was spread around her on the table. Men and women had been feeding off of her all night but Avery didn't mind, she was there to be food for them, the owner of the large house she was in had paid a company good money to collect humans for vampires to feed off. She didn't know who owned the house she was in, all she knew was that the party was celebrating the owner of the houses birthday.

Avery had seen the advertisement for it on a flyer that had been left at the cafe she worked at, the money was too good to pass up, she didn't know how much the company was keeping to themselves but they were giving Avery two grand just to be bitten all night. Turning her head to the right side a little Avery looked over the sea of the beautifully dressed vampires, some of them had come with their human pets and they had been dressed up so lovely as well. There was something about the sight that made Avery feel a little jealous of the humans that got to spend all of their time with vampires, they got the constant high of being fed from. This was the first time Avery had ever let vampires feed from her and the high she got when they sunk their fangs into her skin made her weak, it was so different from anything she had ever felt before that Avery knew it would be a high she would now constantly chase down.

Seeing a vampire heading for her she smiled at him slightly before he helped her sit up on the table, she had been laying down for a few hours now and being fed off so much that sitting up left her a little dizzy. Let the man help her off of the table Avery sighed softly to herself as he lead her over to a table off to the side that had been set up for the humans in the room to go to for food and drinks when they needed it, the vampire who had led her over to the table walked away leaving her there to go and check on some of the other humans.

Grabbing a glass of orange juice Avery began to sip on it slowly as she turned to look at the vampires in the room with a small smile, as her eyes slowly ran over everyone her gaze stopped on a man that looked familiar. He was someone she had seen in the cafe she worked at a few times, the last time he had been in the cafe they had talked a little. Avery was naturally a shy person so it had taken her weeks before she had even spoken to him about anything that wasn't to do with what he wanted to order, sure their conversation had been just a simple passing of her asking him how his day was going but it was still something. She also knew he was a vampire, so him being at the party didn't surprise her, and that he was old enough to move around in sunlight with little to no problems. What she didn't know was that he was the owner of the house she found herself in. Moving away from the table Avery made her way over to her mystery man who she admired from a distance, she didn't care that she wasn't wearing shoes as one of the vampires who helped her onto the table at the start of the night had taken her shoes saying she wouldn't need them for several hours. She also wasn't bothered that her neck and arms were covered in bite marks, there had been one man who had tried to raise her dress to bite her thigh but Avery had told him no and surprisingly he had listened to her.

Reaching him Avery stopped in front of him and gave him a small smile, "Hi" she started softly as she looked over him, "I didn't expect to see you here" Avery finished with a small soft laugh.

Xavier was never one for parties like this, it always bored him, and every human was the same. He was recently wanting to find someone who he could be ‘exclusive’ with, and only drink their blood from there on, yet finding the right human with the right taste…was like sampling different wines at a winery and each one had their own particular set of flavors to them.

And he..didn’t drink much wine.

Xavier was one to mostly drink synthetic blood, a habit he had picked up from his sister who had trouble feeding normally— and he honestly didn’t mind. Perhaps it was because he hadn’t found that particular human that would give him the craved high his brother had described once. Honestly though, he was just happy to attend coffee shops and drink his coffee. Drinking coffee was able to curb his bloodlust, and help him in between meals, especially since he hadn’t been able to get his hands on synthetic blood in a while. Unfortunately there had been a shortage, and he didn’t quite like that.

But he knew it would take him forever to go back home, as he quite had liked his time here in this city. He even had procured himself a nice place, far more ‘exquisite’ than he originally intended. For trying to keep a low profile, he was severely terrible in doing so.

Thankfully word of the royal vampire princes - aka these ‘brothers’ had rarely reached other countries, and he hoped it would stay that way. Although, he had received intel his brother was very well known in one country, and his youngest brother hadn’t even left home and had stayed with their parents and their sister at the palace.

But here? He was just Xavier, no one special, and he liked it that way.

As he made his rounds, making sure his guests were happy and well fed, he had been approached by Avery, and at first he didn’t recognize her— especially with all of the bites. He silently glanced over them as he made his way to her eyes, his own were a steel grey, with a faint hint of blue to them. Hearing her words he gave a small smile, “Honestly, I’m surprised myself,” he said. He had known her for a little while yet never had an inkling she had enjoyed these kind of parties. “I’d say I’m more surprised you’re here,” he says next, adjusting the sleeves of his black button up shirt. He gave her a curious glance, wondering that if she was here she must have seen the flyer’s put out.

Again, so much for being subtle.

It wasn’t even his idea to begin with, one of his friends thought it would be fun, for his birthday and Xavier joked that he wouldn’t get anyone to show up but his friends proved him wrong. They also had ‘mistakenly’ put in that ad with the big payout and, he had secretly been stabbed in the heart by a metaphorical dagger. Sure he was rich, but even he had his limits. Thankfully some of the humans who had attended had tapped out and went home, and Xavier had saw to it that they made it safely back to wherever their homes were.

Although it was his birthday, he didn’t really feel like he was getting older, as he was aging very very slowly, and one could say he was a man in his later 20’s early 30’s. He was always well dressed and well groomed. Put together perfectly. Although his eyes were a very odd color- his family had the eye colors of rare jewels- his sister had jade green eyes, his eldest brother had deep purple amethyst and his younger brother had a deep amber. Although he had a hint of sapphire in his eyes, perhaps his eye color was based on his personal preference— or he was trying to fully hide who he was, since their unique eye colors for the royals are what made them stand out the most…it didn’t help Xavier was just around 6 foot 3, or 190.5 cm / 75 inches.

Avery couldn't help but blush slightly when Xavier said that he was more surprised to see her there, in her twenty-three years of life she had never been interested in letting vampires feed on her, but the money being offered to be a meal was very tempting. "Oh, um, someone left a flyer at the cafe" she started almost nervously, Avery wasn't good at small talk but she was trying to get better at it. It was the downside of having been homeschooled for years before she went to a public school where she continued to keep herself to herself.

"Two grand for being food for vampires is pretty good deal" Avery added with a small shrug of her shoulders, "But it's not for me, my Pop had surgery a month ago so I'm going to send it to him and my Nan so they don't have to worry about money too much" she continued hurriedly as if she was worried that Xavier might get the wrong idea of why she was there for the money.

She had been raised to put her family first, her parents had always drummed that into her. That no matter what happened, Avery was to take care of family anytime she could and she was going to, even if that meant ending up with a few scars. Biting her bottom lip slightly Avery looked down at the glass of orange juice in her hands, there was something about the man in front of her that she liked. Maybe it was the classic alure that vampires had or pure curiosity, whatever it was, Avery wanted to get to know him more.

She also could not help having a crush on him, even though he seemed so far out of her league she couldn't help but be attracted. Avery had only ever dated one person before, the relationship had lasted a year before they broke up because the guy had wanted sex and Avery hadn't been ready to give him what he wanted. It wasn't that she believed in marriage before sex, Avery just didn't feel comfortable in giving everything to a man who was constantly trying to get into her pants.

"Are parties vampires throw often like this?" she asked as she glanced at Xavier as she tucked some of her hair behind her ears, she liked looking at his eyes but she didn't want to seem like a creep by staring at him so Avery would steal glances at him now and again. His eye colour was beautiful, captivating and unlike anything she had seen before; hell his height was also something she didn't see often and standing at only five foot four it made her feel very small anytime she had to look up at him.

Normally Avery wasn't one to go to parties or events, she much preferred to lose herself in a good dark romance book with a glass of wine at home, but she was here and even though she felt uncomfortable she was fighting the urge to just call it a night and go home. But, now that she knew someone here, even just a tiny bit, Avery felt a little more comfortable.

Xavier listened to her responses, and he raised an eyebrow at her mentioning about her father and the fact the money she would earn she would send all to them. “I see,” he spoke, certainly not disappointed with her answer but more intrigued than anything. By the way he dressed Avery would probably guess how..wealthy he was by now, or unless she didn’t profile people that way, it would be reassuring.

When she had mentioned about the flyer, he gave a small grimace and knew his name had been on there, but had she caught that small detail? Either way, she was here and he felt particularly worried about her being covered in so many bites. Although…he did briefly wondered what her blood would taste like, given the sweet delectable smell coming off of her in waves- yet he refrained from going in for a bite, despite that small craving he had found himself wanting. With the shortage of synthetic blood, a vampire could only drink so much coffee before he would give into his blood lust.

“Mm..these parties..I don’t regularly attend,” he explained once she had asked that question, “if anything I’d say I would probably go to something less…uncouth,” and he thought back to if he had attended any feeder parties and..with his track record, he probably would be outshone by his older brother. “I’d much rather find myself in a coffee shop chatting with a cute barista,” he commented, noting her shyness, but he had to admit, she was a sight to behold. Something about her gaze had captivated him, and the soft delicate skin she had, Xavier knew she kept herself well looked after.

“But it looks like I have no choice in being here,” he shrugged, giving a small sigh, “you see, my friends arranged this for me and I’d hate to turn them down,” he explained further. Knowing his friends true intentions. They too had caught wind of what his older brother had been doing and searching for a mate. They told Xavier that he should find a suitable one too, but Xavier didn’t exactly know why he would, given his status as middle brother— finding a mate wouldn’t be his top priority. If anything, he’d rather just live his life as he had been, care free with no royal duties being held over his head.

Avery wasn't one to judge people based on how they dressed or how they chose to spend their time, sure, she easily could have judged Xavier because of how he dressed but that wasn't how she had been raised. Her parents had always told her not to judge people on how they looked but how they treated others and for her Xavier always been nice towards her every time he came into the cafe, and that was all that mattered to her.

Seeing him grimace when she mentioned the flyer she tilted her head slightly to the right wondering why on earth he had that reaction to her words, surely she wasn't the only human who had seen the flyer. Honestly, Avery hadn't read everything on the flyer, especially the part that the party was for Xavier. As far as she knew, he was just a guest there as much as she was. As he explained that he didn't regularly attend parties like the one they found themselves at she nodded her head slightly, "This is a first for me" Avery said honestly with a small laugh. She had never seen the appeal of parties, "Normally I would be at home, reading with a glass of wine" she laughed softly.

When Xavier went on to explain that he preferred to be in a coffee shop chatting with a cute barista she couldn't help but blush at his words, raising her glass of orange juice to her lips Avery sipped on it as she looked away from him. She was lost for words, Avery had never thought of herself as cute, pretty or beautiful, she only saw herself as average. Sure, her family would call her cute or sweet but . Keeping her gaze away from Xavier for a bit Avery watched as some of the humans who were there as well to be food for the vampires were lead out she knew they were being sent off home, which left her as the only one willing food source left.

Looking back at Xavier when he started talking again she raised a brow before her lips parted a little in surprise when he explained that his friends had arranged the party for him. "Oh" she said softly as she mentally kicked herself for not reading the flyer better to see who the party was actually for, "Why didn't you just tell them no if you aren't a fan of parties, why go through with it?" Avery asked before a small shocked look came over her face; "I'm sorry, that was a rude question" she said as her cheeks burnt brighter in embarrassment. Sometimes Avery didn't stop to think about what she was saying before she said it, thankfully the habit hadn't gotten her in trouble just yet, but she was sure at some point it would.

Biting her bottom lip slightly Avery glanced around a little once more before she turned her full attention to Xavier, "Have you had anything to eat or, drink?" Avery asked curiously. She hadn't seen him go to any of the other humans she had been able to see where she had been, but that didn't mean he hadn't had anything. If he hadn't and he wanted some blood Avery was more than willing to offer him hers, she knew most vampires didn't like the idea of drinking from where others did so she knew she could offer him one of her shoulders since none of the others who had fed from her had been able to bite her there since she had been laying down and it would have been and uncomfortable angle for them to get too.

Xavier found himself smirking ever so slightly at her reaction, noting how she had adverted her gaze. He knew he hadn’t flirted with her before but he couldn’t see the harm in it. And when she went and asked him why he hadn’t told his friends no, and then when she realized what she had asked before apologizing he gave a soft laugh to her words. “Don’t worry about it,” he assured her before hearing if he had anything to drink, he shook his head.

“I don’t feed on humans..” he said, feeling slightly embarrassed when doing so. He looked around and noted that she was the only human left here and the other vampires to the party were leaving one by one, on their way out they were congratulating Xavier for his birthday and anyone who did bring a present just left it by the table on the door. What an odd way to leave, but Avery would notice that Vampires did things…strangely.

Soon enough it was just him and her there, and he moved to start picking things up, cleaning up the trail left behind in the other vampires wake. “Feel free to relax and recover here if you want,” he told her now, and then he remembered. “Oh.. and how would you like your reward? I can do a wire transfer..” he began, stopping what he was doing and taking out his phone. Before she could even say anything he had transferred the money to her, thankfully he had been able to do so due to him already having her phone number saved. He remembered he had asked for it once, planning to hang out with her outside of her work hours but had just never found the time.

But he wasn’t sure why he hadn’t found the time, he basically was free all the time as he didn’t particularly have a busy job.

But at the mention of not feeding off of humans, he wondered if she would ask him on why he chose to do so. If she went and helped him clean up and maybe went and put things away…let’s say, certain things in the fridge, she would possibly find at least three bags of synthetic blood in there.

Avery looked at him curiously when he said that he didn't feed from humans, she hadn't met a vampire who didn't before and that just intrigued her about Xavier. Noticing everyone starting to leave Avery shook her head a little when he told her she was free to relax and recover, "I'm okay" she said honestly. Walking over to the table she had gotten the orange juice from she put it down, "I'll help" Avery said with a smile as she started to help him clean up. When he asked her how she would like the reward she looked at him, opening her mouth to tell him not to worry about it she stopped when he pulled his phone out.

She knew as soon as she got her phone from her handbag from the closet she had been told to put it into that she would have the money in her bank account, "You didn't have to" Avery started with a small shake of her head "I'll um, I'll send it back to you" she finished as she bit her bottom lip. She didn't know why she felt bad having Xavier send her money now that she knew it was him who was paying her for her time, sure Avery didn't know him well but she had a crush on him and it felt wrong taking money from someone she had a crush on.

Avery knew she could have just left as soon as she found out the party was for Xavier and not have worried about him sending her the money but the man interested her, he was like a mystery she wanted to unravel.

Staying quiet for a little as she focused on moving what food was left into more easily carriable arrangements before she stopped and looked at Xavier, "Why don't you feed on humans?" Avery asked curiously as he was the only vampire she had ever met who didn't. She was sure there was others out there, but all of the ones Avery had met were happy to feed on humans. She had even read instances of vampires going without human blood for so long that when they did have it again they seemed to crave it like an undeniable thirst they couldn't quench.

"You don't have to tell me though, if you don't want too" she said with a small shake of her head, Avery didn't know if vampires preferred to keep their reasons for drinking blood or not drinking it private as she didn't spend a lot of her time around vampires. Xavier was the only vampire that she really interacted with regularly and so she wanted to know more about him even if it was just a tiny bit more before she headed home for the night.

When she told him she would send the money back he frowned, “I’d rather have you not..since that was what the flyer read and I honestly hoped you..would, actually send it to your family,” he explained, his tone was a bit soft. “Let’s just say..you owe me a few coffees from now on and we can call it even,” she would hear him tease her next.

At her question he thought about what he would tell her before shrugging a bit. “Eh..all humans to me taste the same,” he explained before rubbing the back of his neck slightly. “Plus…it’s..personal..preference?” He tried to put that in words. He knew the reason why all humans tasted the same though. It was because he hadn’t found the one who would be a potential mate.

But again, he wasn’t actively looking like his friends had wanted him to. They had asked what he would do when the blood moon rolled around and he had just given them a roll of his eyes.

The thing was, he could feed on anyone, but only one would give him that craved high that his brother had told him he had experienced. It had been like none other, and Xavier knew this was specifically a royal vampire thing. If their partner’s blood tasted divine to them, that meant they were a practically perfect match in ‘strengthening’ the royal bloodline. Yet Xavier knew that him and his brothers certainly weren’t traditional in hardly any ways, and knew that picking a mate, at least for him, would not be based on blood taste alone.

Avery bit her bottom lip when he told her that he would rather her send it to her family and that she would owe him a few coffees from now on making her laugh a little, "Okay I'll send it to my family and anytime you come into the cafe and I'm working, you can have free coffee" she said with a smile. She knew the owner wouldn't mind her giving free coffee to Xavier since he was a regular and always paid when he came, unlike some other customers who would do anything they could to not have to pay for anything.

As he explained that all humans tasted the same to him and that it was personal preference to him not drinking human blood Avery nodded her head slightly, "Understandable" she said with a small shrug of her shoulders. A part of her wanted to know what how humans tasted to him but at the same time Avery wasn't sure that she wanted to know how she tasted to a vampire.

"I'll take these to the kitchen" Avery said as she picked up a couple of plates of food, walking out of the room she headed for the kitchen that she had been shown to earlier if she needed anything that wasn't on the table for humans. Going over to the fridge to put the food in there she opened it and paused for a moment seeing the bags of synthetic blood there Avery stared at them for a moment before she slowly shook her head and slipped the plates into the fridge.

It wasn't her place to ask why there was blood in the fridge in a vampires house. Walking out of the kitchen Avery walked back into the room the party had been in and she smiled a little at Xavier, "I'm not going to ask about what's in the fridge" she said with a soft laugh. "Out of pure morbid curiosity, what do humans taste like to you?" Avery asked softly as she busied herself tidying a little more so that she wasn't looking at Xavier as she was nervous about asking him such a question as she was not entirely sure she wanted to actually know the answer, but her curiosity had gotten the better of her and she needed to know.

Xavier gave a small smile to her as she promised he could have free coffees from now on and he gave a feign sign of relief. “I greatly appreciate that,” he speaks and hears she was going to the kitchen, and unfortunately he knew she would discover what exactly was in the fridge. He waited for her return and began finishing up his cleaning when she asked him what humans tasted like to him and she would see him caught just a little off guard. He had..never had that question be asked to him by anyone, let alone a human of all things. He frowned slightly as he really thought about it— or he seemed to ‘think’ about it, even though he already knew the answer. “Well at best I’d describe them as..wine flavor,” he tried his best to explain. “But unfortunately each one I have tasted has always been bitter and certainly not to my liking,” he added in, his eyes glancing over to her face. Again, that thought was in the back of his mind to try her blood. But he wouldn’t and couldn’t do that to Avery. He was fearful that he may actually enjoy how she tasted and then what? Go back to drinking synthetic?

“And what you saw.. unfortunately is the last of my supply,” he explained to her, putting down the cleaning cloth he had grabbed earlier. “It’s also another reason why I drink so much coffee,” he added in, moving to sit in a luxurious plush chair. “Please sit,” he motioned for her to sit in one of the chairs, he wanted to make sure she would be well enough to send off. He wished he had those vials, ones he could give to humans to help restore their strength from a feeding session, and if adding a bit of his own blood, making the bites heal a little bit faster than they would have on their own. If only he could lick over the bites and heal them for her— but that’s something he shouldn’t think about.

“If I drink coffee, it..curbs any bloodlust I’d be feeling,” he explained further, “for some reason my body reciprocates it as a blood replacement, or supplement of sorts.. but it’s only temporary,” he mentions next, giving a soft sigh. “My next shipment of synthetic blood is..delayed,” he was worried what he would drink in the meantime. He could do animal blood, but that required more steps to get, and he certainly didn’t want to go to a blood bank.

Listening to Xavier as he explained to her how humans tasted she nodded her head slightly, the wine analogy was easy for her to understand as she had tried some bad wine before. It was hard finding a good wine but when she did Avery stuck with it until she found another she liked. "Maybe you just need to find the right one" she said softly as she tilted her head to the right a little with a small smile, Avery was glad that she was learning a little more about vampires, or at least, a little more about the vampire in front of her.

When he motioned for her to sit in one of the chairs Avery nodded her head a little as she walked over and sat down getting comfortable, she hadn't really thought about how she was going to get home as she had caught a cab there. Avery knew she could walk home, sure it would take a little longer but she had a feeling walking would make her feel a little better now that the aches and pains of having been a meal for vampires was starting to catch up to her.

Crossing her right leg over her left to get more comfortable Avery pulled up the bottom of her dress to hang over her knees so that she could move her legs easier without getting tangled up in the fabric, sure she loved wearing dresses and the floor length dress she had picked for the event had kept her legs warm but long dresses always seemed to get in her way. When she was at work Avery favored wearing black skirts with the shirt the cafe supplied but on her days off she loved wearing summer dresses because of how flowy they were.

As he explained why he drank so much coffee and that his next batch of synthetic blood had been delayed Avery raised a brow at him a little her blue/gray eyes studying his face as he spoke, "Xavier, I know you said you don't like drinking human blood, but if you do need blood" Avery started her stomach tightening a little at her next words, "You can drink from me" she finished softly.

Even if he didn't drink from her right then and there Avery would keep the offer open for him, she didn't know why but it felt like the right thing to do for him.

Avery would see him hesitate at those words he spoke to her, and she would be able to see him consider her offer. Xavier didn’t seem upset and actually leaned forward a bit in the chair. “I…” he paused in his next words, trying to figure out what to say to her. “I appreciate your offer Avery-“ he began, but looked to her and all of the bites she had currently. “But I can’t guarantee that my bite will be painless,” he tells her now, wondering how she felt about being bitten.

He didn’t want to feed on her right then and there. Besides, he still had three of his synthetic blood bags in his fridge, and until his next supply came, he..figured he would be able to manage.

“Do you have any way to get home?” He asked her now, perhaps he could arrange an uber for her or something. He figured he could at least do that. He could always offer to drive her home but he wasn’t sure if she would appreciate him knowing where she lived. But thinking through it, perhaps driving her home would be the best option. “Or I could drive you home,” he says next, hoping she wouldn’t turn down the offer. “But do feel free to stay as long as you like to recover,” he tells her again. Xavier knew that his guests probably didn’t care how much blood they took from her, in the meantime perhaps he would offer her a drink and maybe sneak some of his blood in it to make her heal faster.

“Would you like a glass of wine?” He asked and before she could say no, he had gotten up and went to grab a bottle from the kitchen. She would hear some movement in there and as he brought out the glasses, he swirled hers a bit before offering it to her. He hoped she would drink and not catch the blood he had snuck in there, and thankfully this wine was very sweet and would dance around the tongue in lovely notes so it should mask whatever he had put in there. He only did this out of concern for her wellbeing, and he wanted her to feel relief from her aches and pains.

Noticing him hesitate she couldn't help but hold her breath a little waiting for him to speak, when Xavier said that he appreciated the offer but he couldn't guarantee that his bite would be painless she let out the breath she had been holding with a small laugh. "Xavier, I have been bitten all night and not once did it not hurt" Avery said with a small shake of her head, sure she wasn't one to go out of her way to have pain inflicted on herself but after the first few bites they had stopped hurting as much and had become easier to ignore, "So, if your bite is painful I am sure I can cope with it".

When he asked if she had anyway to get home Avery blushed a little and shook her head slightly, "I got a cab here so I was planning on just...walking home" she said slowly as she looked down at her lap. When he suggested driving her home she raised her head and looked at him a little surprised, "Oh, um, you don't have too" Avery started with a shake of her head "I don't want to be a bother" she finished with a small smile. She had always worried about other people's comfort over her own and if she did walk home Avery was sure she would be tired when she got back to her apartment but at least that would mean she would sleep well.

As Xavier offered her a glass of wine she went to open her mouth to tell him she was okay but he was gone before she could form the words, a small laugh left her as she settled back more into the chair she was sat in and closed her eyes letting herself relax. As she sat there waiting for him to come back Avery started to drift off to sleep but forced her eyes back open when she heard the movement of Xavier coming back with the wine, looking up at him with a soft smile she reached out and took the wine glass from him "Thank you" she said softly.

Raising the glass to her lips she sipped on it a little, the sweet taste was lovely and she made a small appreciative sound in the back of her throat. "This tastes lovely" Avery said with a sweet smile as she drank some more of it, the more of it she sipped Avery noted that she could feel the aches and pains in her body begin to dim and she just put it down to the alcohol and being sat in a very comfortable chair.

"If you do really want to drive me home, you can" Avery said softly after being quite for a little while as she blushed lightly and kept her eyes locked on the wine glass in her hands.

He was relieved when she drank from the glass and he had noted how tired she had been earlier. He then made up a decision in his mind. “Well, I don’t see anything wrong with you staying here for the night, I do have a couple of spare rooms that I think will be accommodating enough,” he explained now, and he set his wine glass down. He moved and knelt by her side, his eyes focusing in on her face.

“Please Avery, it’s the very least I could do for you,” he encouraged, and she would be able to tell he had no ill intentions behind his words. He simply wanted her to rest and recover, as he felt partially responsible for the way she ended up in this situation. Thankfully the next morning was a day she had off from the coffee shop, and so he didn’t see why she couldn’t sleep here.

“I actually think I have spare clothes for you too, I originally was going to send them out for my sister, but time has slipped away from me and I haven’t gotten around to it,” he says now, if she had been worried about a spare change of clothing. He looked her over “they should fit you..” he adds, trying to spend not too long lingering his gaze on her neck.

Avery looked at Xavier when he spoke about her staying here, the blush on her cheeks seemed to burn brighter at the idea of staying at his house. But she didn't see the harm in it, Xavier always acted like a gentleman so she was sure that nothing untoward would occur if she did accept his offer. Watching as he knelt down beside her she studied his face noting that he was being sincere with his words, "Okay, I'll stay" she said with a small nod of her head as her eyes glanced from his eyes down to his lips for a moment before she looked back at his eyes with a soft smile.

"A change of clothes would be nice" Avery said with a soft laugh as she didn't fancy wearing the dress she currently had on for too much longer, she wasn't worried about having something to sleep in as Avery preferred to sleep naked since she lived alone and didn't have to worry about anyone accidentally seeing her wearing nothing at all. But the idea that Xavier might see her naked crept into her head and Avery had to push that thought aside as quickly as it came as she looked away from him as she finished off the wine that was left in the glass in her hands.

She was embarrassed that the idea that Xavier could possibly see her naked excited her but she wasn't going to voice those thoughts out aloud, "So, um, could you show me to one of the rooms?" she asked softly. Glancing at him a little Avery noticed his glance going to her neck every now and again, reaching up she pulled her hair away from her neck and shoulder showing him more of her skin. "If you want Xavier, you can drink" Avery said in almost a whisper, she didn't know why she felt shy about the idea of having him feed on her now that they were the only two left in his house but she did.

Xavier was relieved when she accepted his offer. But now it posed a different challenge, how would he be able to sleep with her around? If he didn’t directly offer her some of his blood right then and there for her to drink directly and not from the glass of wine, those bites would continue to be on her body, and the scent of her blood would continue to permeate the air. Perhaps he should drink one of his synthetic bags— but.. that would mean he’d be down to two. He had been stretching them over the next couple of days and was at this point, underfed for the time being. Yet he was holding out surprisingly well. Probably thanks to his coffee addition.

But his thoughts were turned back onto the current moment as she asked about seeing one of the rooms and he gave a small smile, “of course,” he tells her next, moving to stand, but he paused the moment she moved her hair and exposed both her neck and shoulder, places that had been untouched by any other vampire. Hearing those words from Avery he had to glance away and he nervously gave out a small sigh. “I’m sorry,” he apologized to her, his eyes focusing in back in on her. Were they a deeper color now? And a sapphire tone at that.. “it’s just..the bites on your skin..the wounds are making the scent of your blood permeate the air..” he swallowed nervously. He couldn’t. He shouldn’t- he—

“Are you certain?” He asked, not moving from where he was at the moment. He was so nervous to hurt her, and he was worried he actually would enjoy the taste of her blood. But if he did..then he wasn’t sure what he would do. “I promise I won’t take anymore than I need,” he assured, and somehow she would be able to trust him. He wouldn’t hurt her or use her to gain anything..

He slowly moved onto the chair, sitting next to her, and his frame was a bit more muscular than she would have originally thought- yet his face was kind and gentle. His breathing had deepened ever so slightly as he focused in on the bites around her body, at least, what he had been able to see. The rest he could scent, and there was a thin line of self control that was about to snap.

"You don't need to be sorry" Avery said softly when he explained that it was the bites on her skin that were making it hard for him because he could more easily smell her blood, "If anyone should be sorry, it probably should be me since I am the one making it hard for you" she pointed out gently. When he asked if she was certain she nodded her head "I'm sure" she said honestly, he was taking care of her so Avery was going to take care of him. Hell, if anything, letting him feed from her would be her payment for him letting her stay there for the night to sleep so she didn't want to walk home while trying to stay awake.

Moving a little when he sat down next to her on the chair Avery moved her head slightly so that he could have better access to her neck or her shoulder, which ever he decided he wanted more. She didn't know why but being so close to Xavier made her breathing pick up slightly and her heart began to race a little more than normal. The other vampires who had fed on her hadn't made her have that reaction but Avery just to put down to being so close to the man she was crushing on.

"I trust you" Avery said softly as she moved her right hand and placed it on his thigh that was closest to her, she didn't know why she did that but at the same time Avery wanted to hold onto him just incase there was more pain than she expected as he had made it sound as if she would be in for a world of hurt when he bit her.

Closing her eyes Avery took a deep breath as she tried to relax her body as she didn't want to tense up too much so she concentrated on the feeling of the stem of the empty wine glass in her left hand as she twirled it between her fingers slightly wanting to give herself something else to think about and not just the very handsome vampire beside her that was planning on feeding from her.

As she closed her eyes she would feel his hand reach out and touch on the glass she was holding still and removed it from her grasp. He moved it to the table next to the chair before he turned his attention back to her. In one sweeping motion he wrapped his arm around her back to support her as his mouth moved to kiss on her neck for the first time. He was leaning her back ever so slightly, and his fangs were lightly scratching the surface of her delicate skin. “If I hurt you, and if it’s too painful, please..let me know..” he begged, before lengthening his fangs and piercing her skin for the first time.

As his venom slowly slipped into the wound while he started to drink, Avery would receive a warm, burning sensation at first, but it quickly mellowed out and the pain would turn into pleasure. The sharp pricking sensation of his fangs would numb a bit but the feeling overall would be something quite enjoyable.

On his end, Xavier was surprised he was enjoying the taste of her blood. The feeling and taste of the warm liquid running down his throat was making him want to savor it- the taste alone was like one of the finest wines he could think of. He couldn’t resist moaning from the taste, and the way her blood made him feel was..incredible.

The arm wrapped around her back pressed her up further against his body as he fed from her. His free hand was supporting her neck and head, taking his time to be slow and gentle in his feeding, making sure not to harm or hurt her in any way that he could avoid it. And after a few moments he slowly slid his fangs out from her neck and licked up any blood that had fallen down to her collarbone. “Avery..” she would hear him whisper her name, before he leaned back and apart from his lips being stained with her blood, she would notice his eyes were a deep sapphire.

Avery let him take the glass from her hand without protest, when he wrapped his arms around her she tensed for a moment but she didn't try to move from his arms. The feeling of the kiss he placed on her neck made her shiver slightly, the simple action was both sweet and comforting, "I will" she said softly almost breathlessly when he asked her to tell him if he hurt her.

At the feeling of his fangs sinking into her skin Avery lightly gasped and the fingers on her hand on his thigh gripped the fabric of his pants a little, biting her bottom lip slightly she couldn't stop the soft sweet moan that left her as the pain melted into pleasure. She hadn't felt anything like this from the vampires who had fed on her earlier, but Avery liked the feeling. Making a small pleased sound in the back of her throat when Xavier pressed her body further against his, she wanted to feel more of this, of him.

As he braced her neck and head with his free hand Avery moved her head a little more to the side wanting to encourage him to drink as much from her as he wanted as she moaned softly for him.

When he slowly pulled his fangs from her neck and licked up the blood she gasped softly as she opened her eyes, her breathing had picked up as well as her heartbeat. His bite had been amazing. Looking at him when he whispered her name Avery studied his face noticing his eye colour had changed and her blood on his lips she smiled softly, "Xavier" she whispered back in response to him saying her name.

"That...was a lot different" Avery said softly as she tried to wrap her head around while she had felt so much pleasure from him biting her, even though he was no longer feeding on her Avery took notice that his arms were still around her and that her hand was still on his thigh making her blush as she slowly took her hand away from his thigh and placed it against his chest gently. "The others who fed on me earlier...didn't feel like that" she said with a slightly confused tone of voice.

He was surprised that his bite didn’t hurt her, and yet he was relieved at the same time. He figured that it may be one of his perks on being royalty— his bloodline did offer some perks and allowed him to be different and set apart from other vampires. Yet he hadn’t explained that to Avery quite yet and wasn’t sure if he ever was going to.

He quickly cleaned off her blood from his lips and he noticed he was still holding her the same way from earlier, and he gave an embarrassed look before releasing her gently. Hearing what she had to say, he looked at the bite he had given her and even it was reacting differently on her skin, set apart from the others. “I..will admit, I did not expect your blood to taste..so divine..” he says to her, a tidbit embarrassed if he did say so himself. Usually he was well put together and never had trouble finding words, but something about Avery- apart from how her blood tasted to him now- had definitely caught his eye.

He had known her only for a little while but he already knew how selfless she could be, and how kind she was to everyone, even if that person had been having a bad day, she still reciprocated it with kindness. And he had observed her here and there when she had time off, silently watching over her and protecting her from other vampires in the area, making sure no harm would come to her. If he had known she had been attending this party, he would have never let anyone feed off of her.

And now..

With the taste of her blood in the back of his throat, he couldn’t deny the fact that her blood was that certain ‘craving’ he had been told about, and he worried that he wouldn’t be able to forget it when he went back to feeding from his synthetic blood bags..if he could even manage that.

“How about I take you to your room now?” He asked, trying to distract himself from the rising feeling of attractiveness to her, even if it was already being amplified from earlier.

He had helped her stand and helped her walk towards the room he chose and without second thought he had accidentally chosen a room right across from his own. Perhaps it was to keep a close eye on her in case she had any adverse reactions, but with his blood running through her system he knew her bites would be healed by morning. He wasn’t sure what to explain to her then when she found out.

Xavier opened the door and in the room she would find quite the large bed, dressed in surprisingly soft sheets and duvet. There were many pillows on it, and across was a large window, pointing to the outside garden he had. The room itself was simple enough, but there were hints here and there that this room was far more elaborate than it was appearing to be so. Perhaps he had done it this way so no one would expect him of anything, but quality and the craftsmanship of the bedframe certainly wouldn’t lie.

Turning to Avery he motioned for her to head inside and he went to turn down the bedsheets for her. “Clothes are located in the boxes there,” he says, the abandoned packing box had been there on the floor and some clothes had been folded in neatly. “And there’s a bathroom down the hall if you wish to freshen up,” he says, his eyes still that deep sapphire blue. He couldn’t help but keep thinking of her blood, but he hoped once she had bathed- if she so wished, the smell of her blood would be washed away with it. “I have all the necessary amenities for you so don’t worry about not being able to do things here,” he smiled towards her, titling his head slightly. “I will say though it has been some time since I had any guests stay overnight in this house, but I am very pleased to have you as company,” he admitted.

He then turned to head out of the door, “if you need anything, I’ll be over in my room,” he explained to her. “It’s just down and across from this room,” he says next, hoping she’d take up on his offer. He wasn’t sure why, but he hoped he would be able to feed on her again…soon.

Avery couldn't help but feel a little disappointed when he took his arms from around her but Avery didn't say anything about it, when he asked if about taking her to her room she nodded her head a little. "Yes please" she said softly as she let him help her stand, walking with him she looked around the room that he had taken her too. It was defiantly much bigger than her bedroom in her apartment, hell, she could have fit her whole apartment into that room alone and still have room to spare.

Stepping into the room when he motioned for her to do so Avery looked towards the boxes he pointed to when he spoke about the clothes, "Okay, thank you" Avery said with a sweet smile. When he told her where his bedroom was she made a mental note of where it was before she nodded her head, "If I need anything, I'll come to you" she said honestly. Waiting for him to leave she gave a small sigh as she waited a bit before she headed down to the bathroom and set about taking a hot shower, as she cleaned herself she couldn't help but touch the bite that Xavier had left on her neck and smiled lightly to herself.

Making her way back to the room wrapped in just a towel Avery left the bedroom door open as she walked over to the bed, dropping the towel on the floor she climbed into the bed and tried to focus on fall asleep. But she couldn't, instead Avery found herself thinking of the pleasure that she had gotten from Xavier's bite and her right hand slowly slipped between her legs. Feeling how wet she was just from thinking about him biting her Avery bit her bottom lip, sure she was a virgin when it came to sleeping with men, but she did masturbate and often Xavier was apart of the thoughts that helped her cum. Huffing to herself Avery threw the blankets off of herself as she got out of the bed, grabbing her black lace thong from where she had put her clothes she went over to the packing boxes Xavier had pointed out to her.

Rifling through them she found a simple black short sleeved shirt and she pulled it on, she didn't care how she looked only wearing a thong and a shirt with no bra underneath as she walked down the hallway to Xavier's room. Reaching out she knocked on his door lightly before she cracked it a little, Avery didn't want to over step her welcome by completely opening his door, hell as far as she knew he could be completely naked in there. "Xavier...can I come in?" she called out softly through the crack of the door.

Xavier on the other hand, couldn’t deny the hard on he had felt after feeding from Avery for the first time. He certainly was no virgin when it came to these things, but he was somehow rendered speechless when it came to her. He had tried to hide it, and was thankful the black pants he had been wearing earlier had given him some advantage.

He was lying in his bed, wearing only his boxers. He was currently staring up at the ceiling before he tried to fall asleep, and was thankful his bed allowed him to do so, then again, knowing a mage from his royal family was a nice perk. It honestly made him a little bit happy when he heard the knock on the door from Avery, and in the dim lighting, she would be able to see his eyes glow a little bit as he sat up and looked over to where she was.

“Yes..you can come in,” he said to her with a low tone, but it seemed more inviting than anything. He couldn’t keep her out of his mind, but not like he wanted to. He noticed what she was wearing but honestly found it a bit..hot, even though he hadn’t originally thought of that from her before. He wondered why she was here, and he hoped he would be able to feed off of her more, if given the opportunity.

Opening Xavier's door when he said that she could come in Avery opened it and stepped inside, looking at him on the bed she hesitated slightly before she walked over to his bed and stood at the edge of it. "I-I can't sleep" Avery said softly as she blushed slightly as she took note that he was only wearing boxers, "Do you mind if I stay in here...for a little?" she asked as she clasped her hands behind her back. She didn't really know what was compelling her to be in the same room as Xavier but she wasn't going to fight it.

She didn't want to just climb into his bed without him giving permission to do so, she wanted to feel that pleasure again that she had gotten when he had fed on her but Avery wasn't going to ask that from him, not outright at least. Even in her head it sounded odd that she had gotten horny from him feeding on her but there was something about him that made her body react to him so positively.

"Or if you'd rather be alone I'll just...go" Avery said softly as she keep a deep breath a part of her wondered if he would tell her to go back to the room he had given her for the night but another part of her hope that he would invite her into his bed but she made no motion to leave instead she stayed where she was waiting for his answer. Sure, being in the same bed as him might make it harder to sleep but Avery didn't care if she got no sleep, she just wanted to be close to Xavier incase he wanted to feed from her again so she could get that delectable pleasure rush she had felt before.

Xavier watched her approach and he could scent something different from her, and he wondered briefly what it could be before he heard her question. He then proceeded to nod, and said, “Sure..you can stay,” he said and moved his covers down on the vacant side of his bed, which would allow her to climb in and next to him.

Once she was settled, his eyes were able to fully examine her body and her curves. His breathing hitched ever so slightly at what underwear she was wearing but he didn’t mind. He honestly felt as if she wanted to be in here with him like this. Did his bite affect her in ways he hadn’t realized?

“You know..” he began as he had propped his head up on his hand while looking at her. “I couldn’t sleep either,” he admitted to her, wondering exactly why she couldn’t sleep, but he had an idea of why. “Care to share?” He asked then added in, “you don’t have to if you don’t want to,” he told her, before his eyes began to linger down her body, even when he knew he really shouldn’t. The fact that her blood had made him this hot and bothered was a bit surprising, yet he wasn’t complaining. He knew he had an attractiveness towards her and he wondered if he would be able to act on it any further. He just hoped he wouldn’t be pressuring her into anything she didn’t want.

Climbing into the bed when Xavier moved the covers down she got comfortable on her side so she was facing him as she tucked her hands comfortably under the pillow under her head, watching as he propped his head up on his hand Avery raised a brow when he said that he couldn't sleep either. As soon as he asked if she wanted to share Avery moved her hands and covered her face as she moved onto her back so that when she did take her hands from her face she wouldn't be looking at him.

After being quite for a bit Avery sighed softly, even though he had said that she didn't have if she didn't want too she was going to. "You" she whispered as she took her hands away from her face as she looked up at the ceiling, "How-How it felt when you fed on me" Avery added blushing deeply as she ran her right hand through her hair slightly and placed her left hand on her stomach. She didn't care that the shirt had risen up when she moved onto her back exposing her midriff to Xavier as she laid on his bed.

"Why can't you sleep?" she asked after a moment as she glanced over at Xavier, she hoped that he wouldn't think she was insane for thinking about him and how turned on him feeding from her hand made her. Avery was completely out of her depth being in Xavier's bed and more out of her depth when it came to actually explaining to someone that they had made her horny.

‘You’ - was the words that left her mouth and then when she followed up on why, he couldn’t help but give a shy glance away from her, even though he knew she wouldn’t be looking over at him directly. Xavier gave a soft sigh and moved to sit up, looking over her. “I’ve been thinking about that too,” she would hear him say. “The way I felt feeding off of you was..something I’ve never experienced before..” he tells and admits to her now. He moved his hand and anxiously rubbed his neck. “You...know I..I’ve had a crush on you for quite some time, but I didn’t think I’d ever get this far,” he admits. Sure, he wasn’t actively looking for a mate like he should have, but something about Avery made him want to change that. Yet again, he figured all of that would come later. Right now he had a beautiful woman in his bed that was rendering him speechless.

“If it’s alright with you..I would like to feed on you again,” he said, wanting to have permission first before he went to bite her. He wondered how she would respond, and even then, he wondered..how far things would go between them- yet, should he let it?

Looking up at Xavier when he sat up she frowned slightly as he spoke, when he mentioned having had a crush on her for quite a while Avery's lips parted a little. "Really?" she asked softly, she hoped that he wasn't just saying that since she had a crush on him as well. "I've had a crush on you too" Avery said almost embarrassed by the words that left her, when he asked if it would be alright for him to feed on her again Avery nodded her head a little.

"Yes, you can feed on me again" Avery said in almost a whisper but she knew Xavier would hear it, sitting up on the bed as well Avery moved so that she was closer to Xavier. "You can feed from anywhere" she said softly almost nervously, it had been a long time since she had been this close to a man. It had been years since a man had even made her wet but here she was in Xavier's bed, wet for him because she could stop thinking about the pleasure she had felt when he had fed on her.

Blushing lightly Avery glanced away form him for a moment before she grabbed the hem of the shirt she had put on and she slowly pulled it up and off exposing her breasts to Xavier, tossing the shirt towards the end of the bed she settled back into the pillows her actions showing him that she was serious when she said that he could feed from anywhere he wanted. As she stayed where she was waiting for him to do something, anything, Avery fought the urge to cover her breasts with her hands. Hell, even her ex-boyfriend had never seen her naked or even partially naked so this was new for her.

Xavier was honestly surprised that she had a crush on him, and the moment she sat up to remove her shirt, the motion itself left him speechless. He got a good look of her body then and his eyes, although a deep sapphire started to have a red tinge to them. It mixed and melded into a deep purple, almost resembling a deep and dark version of amethyst.

He steadied out his breathing when she had told him he could bite anywhere and he moved to hover over her body, his eyes trailing down to her breasts and he cautiously moved one hand to touch on her left breast, slowly kneading his fingers against her soft flesh. “If you want me to stop…just tell me,” he assured her, not wanting to push her too far into something she’d regret later.

Dipping his head down, Xavier moved his mouth over her unattended breast and began to suckle on it, pulling at the nipple with his teeth, his fangs prickling her sensitive flesh ever so slightly. She would be able to hear soft moans coming from him as he moved up against her breast and then on the uppermost part sunk his fangs into the unblemished skin, beginning to drink from there steadily. Surely he knew he was a little bit out of practice, but he wanted her to enjoy herself, no matter what that would take. His free hand began to dangerously come closer to her underwear, even if it was a thong, the front wasn’t covered by much, and the cool sensation of his finger tips danced around the fabric, wanting permission or a signal from her that this was okay for him to do.

"I will, I promise" Avery said softly with a small moan when Xavier told her if she wanted him to stop to tell him, a part of her hoped she didn't had to tell him to stop at all. His fingers against her skin, touching her breasts felt amazing. Gasping softly when he began to tend to her free breast with his mouth, this was a completely new sensation to her and Avery liked it. The feeling of his sinking his fangs into the uppermost part of her breast made her moan as she closed her eyes her breathing was shaky but only because she was turned on.

Feeling his free hand move down to her underwear Avery hesitated a little but the feeling of his fingertips moving over the fabric just made her wetter and made her spread her legs apart for him, "Mhmm" she moaned out as she moved one of her hands to grab his that was dangerously teasing her. Gently Avery guided his hand to the top band of the thong and she pushed down gently showing him that she wanted to actually feel him touch her without fabric between her and his fingers.

Never in a thousand years did Avery ever think she would be in the situation she currently was, a handsome vampire feeding on her and teasing her and she was more than happy to let him. If anyone the girls she worked with could see her now, Avery knew they would all probably be celebrating the idea of being even just being touched by Xavier.

He was concerned for only a moment when he heard her shaky breath, and he was worried his bite was hurting her. Yet the moment she touched his hand and moved it towards the band of the underwear she was wearing, that was sign enough for him to continue. He moved his hand past her underwear and there he began to touch her aroused slit, slowly he pushed a finger into her pumping it out steadily.

He pulled from her breast and licked up the trail of blood that had dripped past her nipple before switching to her other breast, biting there too to continue to drink from her, moaning all the while. Her blood was flowing nicely and he honestly was enjoying himself. He wondered, as he teased her like this if he should be so bold to go further. But..he wasn’t sure if that was even something she wanted. Yet for the meantime, he added a second finger inside of her, seemingly warming her up for something- making sure she would be aroused enough to receive something else of his, if she so wished. He began to curl his fingers and slowly increase his speed, his fingers had begun to brush up against her g spot unknowingly. While he was using those, he decided his thumb could press up against her clit, using to move it up in circles, hoping she would find pleasure from that.
