Game RP The Fallen's Roses (RedCoat)

"O-oh. Okay, Marron." Lazuli replied, still not entirely sure what her sister was talking about, but then again, did she need too? They were always going to work together, so being confused or uncertain didn't matter. What mattered was making sure she was always there for Marron, as she knew Marron would always be for her.

Marron took her to a boutique, a lower end one, higher in the rungs of Dunwall. Higher than their shack, but up underneath the middling classes. It was a start. Marron tied to lighten herself, loosening her tension to be...less of a visible threat than sge was.

"We can't fake this quality." She said aa she walked onto the shop, the dresses on display not as nice as the ones she once owned as a girl but....she still could tell the level of difference. One step up the ladder. Classier. She walked around the store, examining the fabrics.

Lazuli followed along, seeing the price tags and biting her lip, even as one of the shop staff walked across "Well, hello ladies. What brings you in here today?" He asked, even as Marron would catch the slight sneer in his tone, as if he didn't believe they had the money for the clothes.

Marron controlled her urge to punch the man in the throat for the sneer she perceived...her posture shifting her shoulders loosening, her hands leaving her pockets. "We're looking for dresses, just two, there is a party coming for a friend of mine. I want to impress them." She said as she folded her hands.

"I see. Two dresses, one for each of you? Well, our less expensive options are in this area of the store, if you'll follow me?" He replied, turning his back on them even as Lazuli bit her lip and reached a hand out to Marrons elbow, nervous about what was going to happen if the clerk kept being... himself.

Marron smiled as he spoke, the minute his back was turned her eyes dropping to his tie, but before she could strangle him with it....Lazuli touched her arm. She took a deep breath. "Sir, we aren't just here for yiur bottom shelf options. If this is your best work, perhaps we can find someone else to help us."

The Clerk blinked in surprise as Marron stepped up to him, stuttering a little before speaking "Well I mean, you are being quite rude Madam. If you do not like the service or the goods on offer you are perfectly free to leave" he replied nervously, even as Lazuli bit her lip and tugged Marrons sleeve "Please don't..." She murmured.

Marron almost seemed taken aback as hr rebuffed her with the word Rude. Then again. Nowadays she was used to being called far worse but Rude..."You are the one that's rude sir. You think that we can't pay you? Is that it? " She said as she stepped further, pushing her finger under his chin. "I'm not insulting your effort. I'm insulting your preconceptions. I do not need your low expense option, my friends won't see beyond the dress. We are going to be the key factor."

Something in the way Marron moved and spoke triggered a reaction in the clerk, who immediately began to apologise "I... Oh my word, I am so sorry madam, I misunderstood entirely. Please, take your time looking around, I will be here the very moment you require me" He bowed low, his face a mask of Shame as Lazuli blinked in surprise, at both his reaction and how well Marron had handled herself. She'd been expecting a fight, not... whatever this was.

Marron turned around to her sister, her hands brushing down her coat with a puff from her nose, walking away from the clerk as she started walking the store floor. Marron for once not jumping to bashing someone's face in...but thatbwas because she didn't always have to do so. She didn't even threaten him, or flash her gun,. A simple, elite, scolding.

She pulled out a green dress, then looked to her sister, her fingers finding a golden dress. The former was softer in its shape, something that would be more personable. Short with a fine petticoat to fill its skirt and be comfortable. The golden was blistering, eye catching, though not merely in a sexual way. It was bright, its cuts more angular, with reds and hues. A corset inside its bodice...not that Marron required much help. Hunger kept her thin.

Lazuli watched Marron pulling out the two dresses, guessing that the small, softer green one was for her, even as she gave a soft gasp at the way the golden one shimmered, reaching out towards it slowly. The Clerk, seeing the pair had found dresses reappeared, a smile on his face this time "Ah, so you have chosen your dresses, Madam? We have a fitting room, where we can make adjustments as required, to give you the best possible fit."

Lazuli took it, nodding to her sister even as she followed quietly behind the pair, the Clerk walking quickly to keep pace with Marron "We do indeed Madam. I shall fetch the bottles once you are both seen too by our fitters." He replied, still almost bowing as he walked, clearly trying to make up for the way he'd acted as they first entered.

Within the fitting rooms, there were a number of older women, two of whom immediately approached, one taking Marron and the other moving Lazuli away to their own little private areas, helping them to both undress and redress into their new clothes, the one with Marron immediately beginning to tighten it around her, to compensate for how thin she was, whilst Lazuli's was being shifted so the skirt did not drag along the floor, her body filling the fabric slightly better from Marron not letting her go hungry as much.
