Game RP The Fallen's Roses (RedCoat)

Lazuli nodded back to Marron, before taking a breath and squeezing her left hand closed, trying to draw on the power she'd accidentally used. A second later, Marron would find her eyes sliding over Lazuli again, and when she moved, she basically vanished from Marron's eyes.

The harder Marron tried to find Lazuli, the harder she'd find focusing on the task, her fingers stretching out to where she thought Lazuli was, even as Lazuli tapped her on the shoulder, immediately snapping back into focus to Marrons side.

"Yes....we can get started." Sge said as she felt the heat in his mark, a sting that radiated from her fist with a pulse that tickled the mind a impulse to look at Marron, to marvel as she'd change subtly in the eye, a brilliance thst was like glittering gold and majesty. Her gilded lips twinkling , a command that hung waiting to be heard.

Lazuli blinked in mild confusion as Marron... shifted, slightly, in her vision, before she could do nothing but stare "Oh... wow, Marr... you look really good in that..." She mumbled, the words drawn out of her before she could even consider closing her mouth.

"I know" she said as she smoothed her hands over her dress, though even that simple act was pulling attention to the ripple if fabric, how it followed her curve, his her skin was graced by the light reflecting gold hues on it. "Butvshe realized how intensely her sister stared, captivated. She released her power, severing the connection.

Lazuli blinked in confusion as the power retracted, leaving her paused as it did so "Wai... Wait, what was that?" She asked, her voice full of her questions and uncertainty, even as Marron would be understanding just what her power had done.

Marron let her sister take the bag, knowing it would be more becoming of a servant than a lady. She adjusted her posture , beginning to step out if the warehouse with her. The door shuttering behind them as they began to walk to the overseers ceremony.

As the pair ascended again, going beyond the distillery districts and the gutted frames from walls of light, walking in the open of spaces they would never go. Not willingly. The high walls of the Overseers gateway and the gaurds on standby, as the two came in contact with a bustling line at the moment. Lesser Nobles and wealthy socialites assembling together to stick their hands in the pockets of new High Overseer , or hold pageantry. Two thieves wouldn't make a difference.

If anything, the pair of them would probably raised the honesty at the party, with their thefts being far more obvious than any of the nobilities quiet subversions of funds. Upon arriving at the gate, a pair of bored guards waved them through without much hassle or fuss, clearly only seeing Marron as the Noble she presented as, whilst Lazuli faded into the background for them, a servant following their mistress.

(XD "we're the most honest ones here")

As they were waved through, Marron didn't even look at the guards, already sinking inti her role. She didn't look at anyone that she didn't already see the nobility in. And those she did, she held her stare on them, letting them be the first to break eye contact, to blink and show themselves to be vulnerable.

As she stalked through, the various Nobles scattered around gave her a general glance, most simply looking away shortly after, satisfied that she wasn't someone who they would need to show fealty too, whilst a few held her gave for a touch longer, but breaking it all the same from her intensity. Eventually though, she'd find her way to the heart of the Party, where an audaciously well dressed man stood beside an Overseer, who had removed his mask but kept the rest of his uniform, his face clearly displaying his discomfort with the situation he found himself in. Something about the party didn't seem to sit right with him.

Marron looked at the man, his weary looking face abd discomfort amongst the guests making her curious. But she didn't show it. She let herself move around the party, flitting between party goers and sampling the hors d'oeuvres and wine delicately. But she made sure to come closer and closer, if not to steal attention but also to listen.

The Overseers voice was low as he talked to the opulent host, his frown deepening still "This... party is nothing more than waste..." He hissed angrily, his head remaining still as his eyes flicked over every guest, clearly checking them for guilt, even as every other guest immediately broke eye contact. His eyes then feel onto Marron and Lazuli "See there. Even her Servant is dressed like a Noble. How much food could that money have bought for the destitute in the lower districts? You and yours would be better served rebuilding, than celebrating my ascension."

"Nonsense. They give you these things in honor, the lower districts know they are taken care of." The host said as his eyes move over to Marron, the man tearing a peice if meat from his meal. "Mmm- you are the important ine here. Yiu should learn to eat with both hands, not slap the plate away...look at all these tasty things. Get involved with one and I bet you can do your little charity work."

The frown only deepened in response, even as Marron would see the slight shift of the Overseers lip that indicated he was biting it "Honour is one thing. Opulence is another... The Abbey does not look kindly on excess, even if it is accepted. Don't you think the poor folk will look down on this gathering, especially after what happened to the Boyles? Lydia and Esme have not been the same since Waverly vanished." He paused for a moment, turning his head "As for 'Tasty Things', they are people. Not morsels."

"People are delicate and indulgent as any morsel. These have come for you. Boyles or not. The poor will always have their place...and this one is not it. These people are better suited to free your beloved poor. The Abbey warmes the soul. But Finns warms homes." The Host said simply, picking a glass of wine up as it passed him by.

"And you are suggesting I take advantage of them? Use them as you do, to achieve my goals?" The Overseer replied softly, declining to take a glass as he did so, even as his eyes tracked over to where Marron was again "It still feels... ridiculous. To host such a ball, in the name of helping those who could never attend it..."
