Fantasy RP The Love of a Demon Lord (FaeWhisperer)

A small purr managed to rumbke in his chest as he held Celeste close. She fit so perfectly in his arms, like it was where she was always meant to be. Finally catching his breath, Jultas nuzzled his face into her neck to inhale her scent. Knowing he would soon have to leave his little witch destroyed him inside. He wanted her by his side at all times, but she was a deciple of the one goddess that would do anything to rid the realm of demons.

Keeping his wings wrapped around her, Jultas carefully carried her out of the lake and over to the Wisteria tree and helped her stand. "I hope I didn't hurt you, my darling. I know I got a little.... excited, to say the least." He made sure to help her dress, keeping his wings fully extended until she was clothed before dressing himself. He would never dare let anyone see his Celeste. Her modesty, her safety, and her well being were the most important aspects in life to him.

"Let me take you home. I want to make sure you are comfortable and safe." Scooping her up in his arms, he nuzzled his nose against he's before slowly taking off into the air. The flight back to her cabin was both too fast and ever lasting. Every second counted, and he intended to make the most of what little time he had. Landing in front of her cabin, Jultas carries her back inside and gently lays her down. "You should rest. I'm sure you're tired after such excitement." He couldn't bring himself to leave her quickly though, choosing to sit by her side and pet her hair.

He waited until she was in a deep sleep, not wanting to see tears come to her eyes or hear her sorrowful voice when he finally had to leave. Jultas removed a small feather from his wing and tied it with a small leather cord from his pants, turning it into a necklace before slipping it carefully around Celeste's neck. With a kiss to her sleeping lips, Jultas fought back the tears in his eyes. "I will come back to you, my love. No matter what, I will come back to you so we can spend our lives together." As quickly as he had entered her live, Jultas disappeared into the dark night to change his fate in the demon realm.

It all happened too soon— with Jultas carrying her out of the water and then letting her dress. Even the flight over to her home was too quick, and yet Celeste didn’t want to think about that. When he had mentioned about her being tired from their actions, she couldn’t help but blush at that fact, knowing it to be true.

It was only when he had laid her down, and began to pet her hair did she search his gaze with her own. “You’re not..going to share my bed with me?” She asked tiredly, even as sleep began to take hold of her. She didn’t hear what he would say, as she went into a deep slumber. Her body was meticulously working now— unbeknownst to the two of them, Celeste had actually been ovulating the moment Jultas had released inside of her. And with that…It wouldn’t be long before Celeste would realize that she would be carrying Jultas’ offspring.

Celeste only stirred a few hours after he had left, she had felt a sense of emptiness and upon waking- she went to feel the necklace that Jultas had made for her and she touched the feather gently with her fingertips. Tears streamed down her face as she realized she was alone again, not knowing when the next time she would see Jultas.

It had been quite some time, almost too long- Celeste had realized that Jultas wouldn’t be returning. She feared the worst, that he had actually been killed by his siblings and she was worried.

Gently placing a hand on her stomach, she had felt the pregnancy awhile ago, but realized nothing really was happening with it. It was in a state of dormancy and she couldn’t really figure out why. Obviously she had no complications so far, and thankfully hadn’t lost the fetus, but still…

Looking out of the window to her apartment, she had long moved out of the cottage she had lived in, for the forest was no longer safe. She had been attacked on multiple occasions and she figured moving into the city would be a better hiding place.

They were demons, and they wanted to kill her. That much she knew. She figured they may have been in relation to Jultas but she wasn’t sure. She did know some demons hated witches and sought their power for their own selfish reasons..

Throughout the years, Jultas' dreams were filled with images of seeing Celeste once more. Of how they would spend their days together, holding, caressing, making love, and simply exsisting together. He vowed to become stronger, to become the one who was worthy of winning her heart and protecting her from the dangers in their world. Nothing was going to stop him from seeing his witch.

So much time had passed that Jultas didn't even recognize the land he now walked. He had fought so hard for so long, and now that he was back in the forest, he feared he'd forgotten where Celeste's cottage was. Now that some form of peace had been made amongst the demons under his rule, Jultas was free the enter the Moon Goddess's domain with little fear of being attacked.

Something felt off as he walked through the trees, like something had gone missing long ago. Taking off into the sky, he scanned the forest for the cottage. But his hopes of finally seeing his one true love again were dashed in his mind as he spotted it. Amongst the lush vegetation, Celeste's home laid in ruins. He fell to his knees the moment he landed on the ground. Tears burned his eyes while his fingers clawed into the ground. His sobs were backed by heartbreak and rage, fearing she had been taken from the world before he could see her once more.

Jultas wasn't going to give up that easily though. Celeste was strong. He was sure she had escaped and found a safer place to call home. In his heart, he wanted to burn down the forest to kill all who might have harmed his beloved, but he couldn't bring himself to do it. This was where he had been blessed with Celeste's presence in the first place.

Flying back to his Kingdom, Jultas began sending out search parties to look for the little witch who had won over the demon lord. Unfortunately, there was a bigger issue he needed to deal with. He was now betrothed to a demoness of a neighboring demon kingdom. A proposed marriage that would combine the kingdoms and bring further peace to their lands, but it was very much a one sided desire. Celeste was the only one for Jultas.

Managing to get away from his advisors and wretched betrothed, Jultas went out on his own to search for his little witch. "I'll find you, my love....I'll find you."

In the midst of the city, torrential rain would pour over Jultas as he would be searching for traces of Celeste’s magic, as her magic was unique and had a very distinct signature to it. But whatever traces of her magic he had felt at the cottage had been very little- as if it had been many years since she had last been in it. Consider the state, it would be nearly impossible for him to track her down.

But then the necklace he had made for her— one of his feathers…perhaps he would be able to track her that way, somehow. Although it would be difficult, considering who knows where she might be now, or if she even was wearing the necklace still.

But Celeste was.

Celeste could feel her power waning under the new moon, and she knew her power lay directly with the cycles of the moon, and how her moon goddess seen fit. If anyone wanted to strike, it would be best to do it now. She had put up her wards in her room, but even thought would prove too weak, especially on the night of the new moon.

Jultas’ betrothed on the other hand, was a powerful demon, one like himself. And she had tried many things to get Jultas’ attention, but nothing seemed to work. She had soon overheard that he was searching for a witch, one he seemed particularly fond of, and she did not like that at all. So being the jealous woman she was, she had sent out her own team of demons to find the witch first before Jultas had a chance to.

Celeste had managed to fall asleep, despite her constant worry about being stalked and attacked for no real reason— if Jultas was no longer alive, why would those demons even bother with her in the first place?

As Jultas would walk near some apartments, he most likely would scent the thick smell of blood— fresh, and easily pinpointed for a demon. The blood was rich in its contents, even for him who did not indulge in such uncouth behavior like his siblings, he probably wouldn’t be able to deny how…divine this blood had scented.

But putting that aside, Jultas would have to scale some apartment stairs, ignoring the protests from the door keeper telling him he couldn’t be allowed to enter.

And once the scent of blood was followed, what Jultas would see next would be only a thing out of horror films. The door to this apartment was completely bashed in- the furniture inside broken and twisted beyond recognition. Blasts of magic was definitely shown on the walls where some unrecognizable demons had been pinned and killed. But when reaching the bedroom, Jultas would step into a pool of blood, and when he would lift his gaze, he would see what his senses already confirmed.

This scent was none other than Celeste’s, and now she was strewn across her bed, a pool of blood had been gushing from her abdomen- yet some faint magic could still be felt, as if in her last attempts, Celeste was protecting something other than herself. Her beautiful features were bloodied and bruised-her white hair slick with crimson. She wouldn’t even register Jultas being there, but he would see the necklace he had given her still around her neck, and if he went further he would realize she was still warm to the touch, and a faint heartbeat would be picked up.

The entire walk through the ruined apartment had Jultas seething with unbridled rage. The signs were obvious to him. Demons, his own subjects, had fallen back into their nasty ways and attacked another being. Fear riddled his heart as he took in the scent of the blood. It didn't matter how long it had been. The smell was burned into not just his mind, but his heart as well.

Opening the door to the bedroom, it felt as through the world went black and his heart had been ripped out. His Celeste, his darling love was laid out on a bed, drenched in blood. His hands shook as he rushed to her side, his breathing coming out in shallow, shaky puffs. "Celeste...Celeste, my love..." He hesitated before touching her, not wanting the scene to become even more real by holding his injured witch.

Tears fell from his eyes as he cradled her close to his chest, rocking her body back and forth gently as he buried his face in her hair. Seeing the feather he gave her still around her neck and the sound of her faint heartbeat sent a jolt of adrenaline through his body. "Hold on, my darling. Just hold on a little longer for me." Lifting her gingerly into his arms, Jultas extended his wings and lunged through the window while protecting his little witch.

Even though the flight back to his castle took only moments, it felt like eternity to Jutlas. His fear of losing the only person he had ever loved was stronger than any other emotion he had ever felt. He landed in the courtyard of his castle would a powerful crash, creating a small crater around his feet. "Bring the healers now! I will not have this witch dying while I breathe!" His voice thundered like command from the gods, sending his servants into a frenzy to find the healers and send them after Jultas. Even as he passed his betrothed, he paid her no attention other than a glare when she tried to touch his arm.

His foot steps were heavy, full of determination to help Celeste and make sure she was safe. Entering one of the many rooms in his castle, he laid Celeste down on the luxurious bed. His fingers were gentle as he brushed the hair from her face. "Stay with me, Celeste. I will not let you die like this...not today."

The healers wasted no time with entering the room and getting to work on the beautiful witch their master carried in. Great care was taken as they began cleaning off the blood from her fair skin and using their own magic to seal her wounds. Jutlas stood close by, watching everything unfold while his fists clenched tight enough to make his palms bleed.

He turned to his closest companion, the general of his armies, Rudbar, with glowing red eyes and gritted teeth. "Find the bastards that dared to defy me and lay hands on this poor woman. Bring them to the dungeon and make sure they are bound and gaged to prevent them from biting off their own tongues. I will find out who did this, even if I have to rain hell upon all of my subjects."

Rudbar nodded, his eyes wide and a chill running down his spine. He had never seen Jultas this angry before, not even when he overthrew his father and took over the kingdom. "Right away, my lord." With a bow, Rudbar turned and rushed out of the room to follow his orders.

Seeing his healers clean Celeste's body and heal her wounds, Jultas could feel a strange pull to her that he hadn't felt before, something that had told him he should have stayed despite the will of the moon goddess all those years ago. Catching one healer by the shoulder, Jultas looked at him sternly. "Double check everything about this woman. I can sense something about her that is different. No matter what you find, do not tell another soul or you will be offered to the soul eaters as a snack."

While Rudbar had gone out to search for what Jultas wanted, it would be incredibly hard to do so. For Celeste had already disposed of the demons who had attacked her, taking them out with her own magic, even though for her it had almost been too late. Jultas wouldn’t have known though, since it was those unrecognizable demons pinned to the walls of her apartment. Yet one demon had escaped, and was on its way back to its master.

The healer did as his lord had commanded him, searching the body of Celeste for any odd signs- something his lord must have picked up. Using magic, he closed his eyes and located the odd source. He wasn’t too sure on what it was, but the demonic energy flowing from it proved his suspicions further. He looked to Jultas and frowned slightly, before coming back over to him. “Sire…it appears the miss has something inside of her womb cavity…but it has been dormant,” he explained in a hushed tone. “Up until..now.” And Jultas would hear a second heartbeat alongside Celeste’s. Something he definitely wouldn’t have picked up on before.

And as if on queue, Celeste finally would wake up— ever so slightly, but she cried out in pain as she did, as the healers continued to heal her. They noticed and immediately put her back to sleep with one of their spells. They were almost finished and once complete, they bowed to their lord as he would approach Celeste again.

Jultas watched closely as his healers worked. It didn't matter that they had been serving him for almost his entire time as Demon Lord. No one was to be fully trusted until he found out who was responsible for Celeste's attack. His eyes narrowed as he stared at her stomach, watching as the hands of one healer glowed red with magic. He had his own suspicion as to what the presence he felt was, but he couldn't bring himself to say it out loud. He didn't want to imagine that he had left Celeste in such a situation.

His fists clenched tightly as he his suspicions came true, the sound of the second heart beat echoing in his ears like the toll of a bell. He wanted to scream, to smash everything in the room in a blind fiery for what he had unknowingly done, but Celeste needed him. She would need his help and love when she finally woke.

The sound of her pained cry snapped him out of his episode of self loathing. It took every ounce of his strength to not lunge at the healers in a fit of irrationality. They were helping his love, nothing more. His steps felt heavy as he approached her sleeping form, his hand reaching out to caress her smooth cheek.

"Celeste... Please forgive me. I should have returned sooner. I shouldn't have even left in the first place." His eyes burned with tears, something that, other than today, had only happened when he left her back in the forest all those years ago.

Sitting beside her on the bed, Jultas rested one hand upon her stomach to feel the small life growing inside her belly. There was no mistaking it. The child was his. His wings tucked close to his back as he looked down, feeling week and helpless as he waited for his darling witch to wake once more. "I'll never leave you again, Celeste. No matter what it takes...I will always be by your side."

It would be a couple of months before Jultas would see Celeste wake. But in those moments, she was closely monitored, and receiving medical care at the same time. And as she rested, so did the life within her- upon scanning with magic, one doctor had told Jultas how far along she was. Apparently only 3 months, but since the pregnancy had been dormant for quite some time— the development had been halted.

For this, there was no answer to, and Celeste had been carrying this child for so many years…what she would have gone through by herself…Jultas would probably feel guilty even more so than he already had been.

On the other hand, his betrothed had eventually caught wind of this witch and the assumed pregnancy. Vanessa at first didn’t want to confront Jultas, but given that he had been abstinent from all coupling with her was a little absurd. For she had never met a demon such as he who had such self control. But now she knew why, and jealousy would boil up in her far beyond than she would expect.

She figured this witch had put some sort of spell on Jultas and she would figure out how to ‘break’ it. It didn’t matter that her demons had failed to eradicate the creature but no matter, she would figure out a way, one way or another. But she knew she had to keep this a secret, for Jultas still hadn’t figured out who had sent these demons after his so called ‘beloved’.

Celeste woke up slowly, her eyes blinking awake and the surroundings felt foreign. The bed was way too soft to be laying on, and her body felt so tired. But she was able to manage to slowly sit up, rubbing her eyes. It was as if she had woken up from a long sleep. The nightmare that had been a few months ago was now just a distant memory, and she quickly scanned her body, but to her surprise, she had been healed entirely. Not a trace of any scars, bumps or bruises.

Where in the world was she?

As the door to the room began to open, she looked over towards it, wondering who would be walking through. She was cautious, and began to ready her magic, but figured whoever rescued her had no ill intent considering she was healed.

She briefly touched her stomach and gave a silent sigh of relief when she felt the heartbeat again, silently thanking her moon goddess. Even though she had fallen in her faith due to the moon goddess no longer protecting her, Celeste hoped the moon goddess was still watching over her in some way.

The months dragged on for Jultas, many nights being spent awake at Celeste's side in the hopes of being there when she woke. He had put off most of his duties as a demon lord, waiting for Rudbar's report on who had attacked his beloved. The fact that Celeste had been pregnant with his child for such a long time while he was away destroyed his mind for a time. How could he have left her in such state without aid? What kind of monster had he unknowingly become?

During the rare times he had left Celeste's room to attend mandatory events or meetings, his mind was never fully present. All he could think about was Celeste and their potential child. Even conversations with Vanessa had ceased. Their usual walks through the courtyard of the castle becoming a thing of the past without so much as a second thought from the demon lord.

He made sure to always be present whenever the doctors checked on Celeste, still not trusting a single soul around her. He was desperate to find a way to make it up to her, to prove that he never meant to leave her for so long, especially with their unborn child.
-

Having finally finished a rather grueling meeting with his advisors, Jultas trudged his way back to Celeste's room. He had lost track of how long it had been since he found her. Not that it mattered to him. Jultas was merely happy that she was still alive.

Upon opening the door, his heart almost stopped while his eyes widened. She was finally awake and looked just as beautiful as they day he met her. "Celeste...." Her name fell from his lips like it was a prayer, his knees feeling weak as he closed the door and stepped closer.

Weakness over took him as he fell to his knees at the side of her bed, tears rolling down his cheeks. "Thank the gods you're alright..."
