The monsters were all taken away, from the highest ranks to the lowest wolf pelt hunt in the grand city of Delios. Heroes weren't simply aplenty, they were all ove the gods damned country, sucking up glory, renown,, and experience points! Adventuring was becoming a rapidly packed market, where get into even a tiny guild was impossible. And if he were said small guild, a quest was practically bought the second it opened by everyone else. In one such establishment, a set of properly poor adventurers were gathered, trying to put their heads together in how to survive in a kingdom that simply didn't need the excess of wandering sellswords and mages. Jokes were thrown about, joining the bakers guild, becoming a new union busting force, delving under the city and joining the rat catching association...but an adventurer, a fighter, and battle maid would look upon her gathering, rising up and with a honest and serious face, say 'We can start a brothel!"

The party's Thief, Leopold or Leo would look at the battle maid raising a brow. The cheetah print tabaxi would seem interested but also perplexed. "A business would be a sound investment but why a brothel?" He liked the sound of it but it did seem quite random and there would be a risk since brothels are somewhat unsavory in the more populated cities and such.

She pounded a fist into her palm. "It is the most lucrative, it also is the most convenient and comfortable in this off period. We can take adventurers that wish to leave the wanderers life, and give them a stable location. It also would remove them from the pool of vying adventurers." She said looking around.

He would think for a moment, he wasn't going to say anything but that would mean that he could have some fun of his own for a cheaper price. "Okay so that would open more jobs for us, but that is assuming that we can find adventurers who want to get screwed constantly? Also we would have to spend most of our gold just to get a building and enough to pay a couple of girls and guys"

"We're all adults here, aren't we? We've all got gold and silvers to put towards our affairs. It's just an investment...it doesn't even have to run or appeal to a single clientele." She said as she looked around the table. "And even if we must....locate professional talents, it's no different than collecting a party or a mercenary."

The Ranger, a scrappy looking man with ruffled, copper hair, a Mish mash of armors shifted up from the table. "I'm not signing my name on any of this. I'm in the adventuring game- not messing around with whores." He said shaking his hand. "Ah- Rudra-" the Maid started but he rustled around in his pouches, setting a diamond on the table. "That's all your getting from me in this." The ranger said looking away already as he walked away.

The Maid sights as she picked up the diamond, but the wizard was already shuffling up. "I...can atleast be a silent partner." The witch said. "Books are more my thing."

The maid looked at the diamond, rolling it around gently on her gauntleted hand, staring at it deeply. She blinked as the rogue spoke up, looking over at him. "Right. Leo. Um...I was going to go look for a property." She said as she grasped the diamond. The battle maid, Talia, lifted her head a bit higher. "Get things started and sqaured."

The maid pouches the diamond, nodding her head silently as she started push through the tavern. As she hit the door, opening it into the evening scene, she felt a chill. A tinge inside. This was her idea...but now it was feeling more real with every step. She was going to own a brothel. Her mother was going to probably be so pissed with her, her father....no better. Not really.

The walk downtown lead them deeper and deeper, narrowing streets with rising walls, taking them to larger and nicer heights. They asked about, gathering resources, information, but a clear problem cropped up. Downtown properties were expensive. Outstripping their coffers with wonders and architecture.

As the Rigue suggested switching locations, the Maud was ruffling her air in frustration, stomping away from another realtor that showed her their rates fir a property. A beautiful 3 story apartment with a worn sone and brick face, , fine pillars along the front to invite the eye and carved features at the roof top. "I cannot believe this! Maybe we should become architects!" She grumbled as she stalked away from building.

Talia jabbed the rogue gently in the arm...gently enough anyway. "Yeah- well who knew the region would dry up!" She grumbles briefly, the trip out to the outer side of town pulling them out of the luxury and vanity, to the older and more residential. But the prices leveled down too, coming to a more affordable rate. Approaching a smaller row home, that was 2 story, and much more narrow. It definitely needed work done to it.

"My purse is heavy..ish. and you can't just fuck around all day and expect to get paid, the brothel isn't a playground." She said rolling her eyes. "It's a business, and unless your paying into em, you'd be sucking up earnings." She scolded as she walked though the decrepit common room, the floorboard buckled , crunching inwards under her feet. "Fuck-!"

She shuffled quickly back out of the property, the brass plaque at the front of it was dusty and old. She approached it and brushed some of the plaque clean, touching a small orb on it. It flared gently, a pulse of subtle Arcane magic rippling out to signal the landlord and realtor. A shimmering blue illusion leapt up from it, forming at the front of the path, a Gnome in a short suit and tie, with a long flowery cape dropped off his back appeared. Wearing shiny lensed glasses and a long nose looked up to them. "Ah! Greetings! I am Sterling Owlshade, Realtor, architect, and carpenter! Your investment- oh golly!" He stopped in the midst of his speech as he noticed the building. "You are buying this?"
