Nyx hadn't planned to become a vampire, but honestly, she didn't think most vampires who got turned planned it. Sure, there probably was those out there was that did but she hadn't been one of them. She didn't remember completely how she had been changed, there were snippets and fractured images she could recall, but all that Nyx knew for sure was that she had been at a party and had started to feel unwell after having a couple of drinks. The next thing she could remember was waking up with an unquenchable thirst, nothing she drank seemed to make it go away and it was driving her crazy. The first night of her being turned Nyx had gone out looking for something, anything, that would make the thirst stop and after a while she did. She found two men in an alleyway who were having a drunken brawl, one of them had a bloody nose and Nyx knew that that sweet metallic smell was what she was looking for.
Without meaning too she attacked like a vicious starving dog, she didn't stop until both of the men were dead and her thirst was satisfied. She didn't remember getting home after attacking the men but when she did she went about as if nothing had happened even though she was soaked in blood. The following morning when Nyx took note of being covered in blood did she realize what she had done, she knew she couldn't go about trying to live her life if she couldn't keep herself in control and so she started trying to find the vampire who had turned her.
Hell, Nyx didn't know where to start. She couldn't remember anything of the person who had turned her, the only thing she knew was it had been a man as she had been walking past someone and had caught a whiff of cologne that smelt of pine and sandalwood and that smell made her mind reel back to the night she had been turned. A drink that tasted slightly off given to her by a faceless man, someone who was taller than her five foot five self, and a voice telling her that they were going to fix it and take care of her. Fix what Nyx didn't know as she had no idea what had happened, her mind was protecting her from knowing that the faceless man who had given her the drink had spiked it, taken her out into an alley and had ripped into her neck and had left her there behind a rubbish bin to die. And the man who had told her he was going to fix it, who smelled of pine and sandalwood, had been the one to turn her.
Dressed in a simple pair of jeans, boots and a white crop top with a black cardigan over the top she walked down the busy street of bars, restaurants and cafes Nyx kept her eyes searching everywhere looking for anything that might jog her memory, but nothing was standing out to her. Looking at her watch she sighed softly seeing it was six pm, she spent two hours everyday trying to find anything that would help her. Nyx had taken sometime off of work, saying she needed to use some of her sick leave to take care of some personal stuff and luckily her boss had said she could. As she couldn't to walk while looking at her watch she bumped into someone, "Sorry" she said as she looked up at the man she had walked into, he was handsome and was dressed in a suit that defiantly was worth more than anything she could buy on a librarians salary.
Stepping to the side Nyx looked a little embarrassed as she waited for him to walk past her, when he did her back stiffened as she caught that sweet scent of pine and sandalwood. Frowning she looked at the mans back as he walked away from her, shaking her head Nyx began to follow him. She honestly didn't know what she was planning but if this was the man who had turned her, Nyx wanted to know why. What point did he have turning a librarian of all people into a vampire, realizing she probably looked like a creep following this well dressed man Nyx shook her head before she jogged slightly to catch up to him and grabbed one of his arms gently. "Excuse me, sorry, but do I know you?" she asked as she continued to hold lightly onto his arm as if she was worried that if she left him go he would vanish and she would be no closer to finding the man who turned her.
