Kai could feel the tension within his twin, sitting beside him, as they waited for a response from their brother.

His phone buzzed to life not too long after, the screen illuminated with Aaron's text.

"See? He's fine. Can't trap him inside with us all the time." Kai started, yelping in surprise as a pillow hit him.

Elias rolled his eyes. "I know, now shut up and quiz me." He took the pillow back and placed it behind him, leaning against it as he tossed his book toward his twin. He was uncertain, but couldn't push any further. At least he heard from Aaron.

Kai grabbed the book, but not before returning the text: ['kay! see ya later]. Tossing his phone aside, he settled across his twin, beginning the quiz.

He sent back quickly, setting his phone down. His ex siddled around the barstool, grabbing his hand, pulling him away from it. "Are you here for me or not?" She whispered. Kai looked at his phone, catching the text. He glanced over to Elias, seeing if he noticed, before flipping the phone over so Elias couldn't see the screen. That was definitely not something his twin needed to see. He kept him distracted, quizzing him before swapping places. Eventually, Elias fell asleep, and Kai joined him.

As they had the next day off, they slept in. Elias emerged from their room. He lit up seeing their brother. "Had fun~?" Elias asked, stepping closer. "You were gone a while," he pointed out, pausing with a blink as a familiar scent hit him. His expression changed, Elias frowning, hoping never to smell that perfume on Aaron again. "Friend, huh?" Had all of their efforts gone to waste? He didn't know what to say or do, except to leave the room and return to his bedroom. He knew he had no right to be upset, yet he couldn't help it.
 
He huffed. "It's not that easy." He said as he moved to Elias, hugging his brother from behind. "I...love her." He whispered, his voice trembling oh so softly. Elias shook his head, feeling his heart sink further into his stomach as Aaron hugged him. Love? "How..." He muttered, hearing the tremble in his dear brother's voice. He tentatively rested a hand on the arms wrapped around his waist, gently rubbing, comforting. "What we did... was out of love." How he cared so deeply for Aaron. "How can you just go back, after everything she put you through..." She was just going to do it again, break his heart. Elias wasn't so sure he would be there to help this time.
 
"I-I know..." There was no explanation for the sick attraction he felt. Then again, the same went for his twin. Why were they like this? "No, you can't take advantage when I want it." How badly he wanted him... It wasn't right. He hesitantly turned, wanting to see Aaron. "Do you really dislike it...?" Maybe... maybe they should stop.

"Hey, no risk of pregnancy, yeah?" Sam piped up from his place on the bed.

Aarin flicked his look over to Kai briefly as he distracted him. "It's not whether or not I enjoy it-" he said.
