What do you like about RP?

Purpose and understanding before fun. Otherwise it's likely a "fun trap". My dad used to work in a casino so I know about addiction traps.

No matter how many times you read a book you're not doing your own thing are you? Nor is there anyone to play with.

There's always going to be the stagnation phase. It happens. Things have to become routine before picking up again. Doesn't mean roleplay has to be absent though. Little things go a long way. Fun is fleeting. Fun dies. Then what do you have?

Consistency+exposure=adaptation. Most people struggle with consistency. I find 3-5 posts a day (consistently) can be good. I don't mind waiting on replies. Keeps things moving without rushing. If I'm doing "instant" roleplay I can get through 10+ posts (each). My post times can take about 15-40 mins. It's possbile to get a steady pace without rushing. Just try not to forget, and make it a point to do it. Can still play a game and tab out from time to time. Or read a book and get tea. It's all about habits. If you're not willing to adapt then what makes you think you can change to different circumstances in roleplay? Which in turn helps with getting people to adapt in real life. I'm pretty sure roleplay is why I'm a better adapter and am harder to phase. It's about making things happen. And playing. It's all a game.

I been roleplaying with someone on this site for a while actually. The site is doing what it's been made for. It just might not be in public topics.

Also I'm a dragon. And I'm the DM. Doesn't mean you can't be a DM too though. Makes the world together. Share the story.

Case in point, there's more to admire here then entertainment value. It can legit make you a better person.
