In my 'about me' section of my profile as well as on other sites that I'm a member of, I get questions about the relationship my husband and I have.
An open marriage has numerous definitions but for us, basically it means that we agreed to have sex with other people. I know this still, even in these more permissive years raises eyebrows and it's not for everyone.....
We love each other, so it's not because of a failing relationship. For us, it's purely physical....sex partners outside of our relationship have shown us techniques and ideas we hadn't thought of or just too hesitant to try.
We have invited others into our bed and they have invited us to theirs. There's no establishing relationships, no spending the weekend, nothing like that.
My hubby knows I'm attracted to women and when I do have sex outside of our marriage it's usually with women......and no, just because our relationship is open it doesn't mean he's allowed to watch.
