He would rush after her, kneeling beside her as he grabbed her hair and pulled it back for her. He was concerned as he rubbed her back. "Atr you sure you are fine? This doesnt feel fine "
Once finished she sits back, quickly flushing to avoid smelling sick. She glances back at him “okay, okay, I will see a doctor” she sighs. Bea slowly stood up, moving to lean against him.
He held onto her and nodded "thank you bea. I'll send the staff to get him and take you to your bed till then" he said picking her up in his arms as he carried her to her room.
Resting her head on his chest while carried in his arms, smiling to the familiar feeling. This being an uncommon request the staff scrambled a moment before fetching the Doc for Bea. It was over an hour but the Doctor did arrive which resulted in Bea falling asleep while waiting
Baz was cuddled up with her as she slept, protective over her and trying to make sure she was okay. He would nudge her "wake up little snack, he is here"
Groaning as she woke up, bea blinks open her eyes to a zebra walking into the room. “Hello” greeting the pair as she took a seat on a chair. Bea explains her symptoms before having her temperature taken.
“Mm no fever, no allergies or unfamiliar foods” the Zebra spoke. “Anything in your garden such as sprays or pesticides?” Asking Baz. Of course it never occurred to ask more couple related questions in sight of Bea’s recent heat.
"No, nothing like that, I rely on the insect and such." He said taking bea's hand. "Could it have anything to do with us...having some fun last night?"
Bea froze when he mentioned last night, her eyes staring at the Zebra who was shocked. “Well by fun what do you mean?” They question as this was a predator and prey situationship.
He looked at bea and then the doctor, knowing he could trust that it would at least not leave the woods. "We had sex yesterday, a couple of times..while she was in heat"
Bea’s face felt so hot as it grew red when he explained what activities they have been doing. The Zebra nods in understanding “the symptoms can point to pregnancy from a successful heat” they spoke fishing in their bag. “Blood draw should tell” gesturing for Bea’s arm. The young deer looks to Baz feeling quite nervous.
Baz would smile at her, holding her close to him. "It wall be okay Bea. It'll hurt for a brief moment and that's it. Much less pain then last night" he said a bit teasingly
Slowly offering her arm she turns her head to hide in Baz as the needle pricks her skin. Drawing out a little blood the Zebra quickly replaces the needle with a bandage “all done” getting up to use the dresser. She lets out a sample strip adding a new drops of blood to see the results. Bea looks up to Baz “what are we gonna do if…?” She questions.
He looked a bit concerned and conflicted. He never expected to have the chance of having a child again, with anyone and now there was a chance. "I'm nor sure. Do you want to keep it? You can stay here with me and we can raise it together if you like, something we can share and love together"
Bea did not have an answer for him, she didnt expect to have children so soon. She looks up as the Zebra turns for their attention. “I need to do an ultrasound” informing them trying to not sound concerned. “May we move to my cottage where my equipment is?” Requesting of Baz.
He nods, noting the silence of Bea. If she didn't want kids he would of course support her. He stood up, picking her up in his arms again before following the doctor
Not hearing the results made Bea even more nervous, she hated being left in the dark. She grasps Baz’s shirt as he carries her, her eyes staring at the Zebra. This doctor lived at the edge of the forest, her cottage secluded from the village miles beyond. She invites them in gesturing for Bea to be set down on the medical chair as she set up the ultrasound. “So your results were inconclusive which is rare” finally informing them. “Lift up your shirt” rubbing the jelly on Bea’s tummy once she rolled up her shirt.
There was silence for several moments so the Zebra could read the screen, confusion on her face. “I would say you are pregnant as for how many it may take a month to know for sure”
Bea’s eyes widen “many? Like more than one?” She might just pass out. “Im sorry Baz. I didn’t know that being so different we could…” she knew this hurt him. He wanted children with Clare and on a whim here he is with Bea being pregnant.
He couldn't help but think of the last time he was here, trying to save Clare and the baby which prove futile. He wasn't sure if he could love the deer that has entered his life but he did care about her, more than he admitted.
Baz shook his head and would take her hand. "I didn't either but it will be okay. We have plenty of room at the castle for them since there may be several. We will figure this out together if you still want to stay"
Her eyes welled up with tears beginning to truly hate how all this played out, all out of order. Bea squeezes his hand as the guilt settles into her chest, last thing she wanted was to replace his Clare. She glances to the Zebra who was assembling supplements and medications to take home.
“I dunno yet” Bea spoke up, taking her hand back and hugging herself. “I certainly dont want to leave but…I dont want to hurt you”
He frowned as she moved her hand away, letting outba sigh. "I know. I know you don't. I know things are fast with the kids but we can still take it slow. Maybe start dating first if you like and see if we want more" he says fidgeting with his fingers now that he doesn't know what to do with his hands
The Zebra listened as she tied off the bag, handing it to land in Bea’s lap “please take care, I am a short walk away if and when I am needed” reassuring them both.
Bea offered a small smile “thank you” moving to hug the bag close to her chest. “Lets head back” reaching for his head once more.
He nods taking her hand and lifting her up in the arms, not wanting to risk having her walk just yet. "I shouldn't have been so risky last night, I'm sorry"
“Do not apologize for having a good time, we had fun, enjoyed each other” reassuring him. She nuzzles his chest, taking in the time it took for them to return. Bea twitches her nose once in tue courtyard “Can we go to the garden tor a little?”
Bea would hop from his arms, laying herself between the beautiful plants which brought her comfort. “That is better” she sighs the scent of medicine and disinfectant leaving her senses.
Turning her head toward him, a giggle sounding “guess I will become more of a big snack mm?” Teasing him. Bea picks a few vegetables to snack upon, her gaze settling on the bag tue Zebra gave her.
Sitting up a little, she laughs, remembering him saying that, which at the time was a joke, but now it was going to come true. Bea gazes down at her tummy, wondering how big she would swell with more than one baby growing inside her. Her species rarely had twins, so having more than one at a time was uncommon; however, wolves were known for having twins or more born at once. The thought of so many running around was a lot.
Her laugh warmed him up a bit, it was very much like music to him. "So I know this is suddent but did you ever expect to have kids? " He knew she would have to have one with the prince to keep their bloodline but he wanted to know what she wanted
"Yes," she answered rather quickly, which made her blush, "At least one," she adds with a giggle, "but not so soon," letting out a sigh. "Being young does have the advantage of recovering more quickly."
