He pet her back and her head. "It's okay" he whispers as he cuddled up to her, laying down.

She sniffled again, even as she closed her eyes and lay in his embrace, falling asleep slowly as she did so.

He pet her as she cried to herself, Boon resting with her. Once she was waking up again, he was holding her close, his fingers stoll petting on her frilled abd scaled skin. "Hey..." He whispered softly to her

She mumbled softly as he whispered, feeling his hand stroking across her frills making her shift slightly, moving up into his fingers "Mmmm... hey... what time is it?"

"It's about 6 am" He said softly as he stroked her back, his head resting on her shoulder

“Six? Early…” she mumbled back to him, rolling over slightly “Are you at the hearth today?”

 

[Knight_of_None]

"I'm going to be keeping the hearth cool for the day....I wanted to be with you." He said as he touched her cheek lightly

“Mmm… no, go. I’ll be fine. Hell, I’ve probably got stuff i need to do today. Can’t spend more time doing nothing…”

He presses his cheek to her head. "If you're sure..." He said letting it hang, his tone soft. He wouldn't ignore her call. "You don't have to be alone"

“I won’t be. And you’re only a phone call or short walk, if I need you.” She smiled back, kissing his nose “Now go. I’m sure you’ve already got a line around the block.”

"I'll handle them." He said pulling himself up to go get ready for the day, , taking a last look at her fir the moment. After a hot shower, he'd prepare his battle suit and peek in on his sleeping son for the moment before taking off.

"Yeah, I know you will honey." She replied softly, smiling as he went to shower. When he'd leave, he'd arrive to the Hearth shortly to find the line was... non-existent. There was a single, nervous looking Umbreon and that was it. When he'd look closer, he'd realise it was actually Shade, clearly having second thoughts about what she was doing.

"....Shade?" He said folding hus arms behind his head. "You looking for Azure or something?" He said

 

[RedCoat]

"Hu-Huh? Oh, uh... Boon, hi!" She chirped back, her nerves evident in the sound of her voice "Azure? N-No, Not looking for him, he's at home." She replied, laughing at nothing "I was... actually here to ask you for training..."

 

[Knight_of_None]

"Training...hm. with me?" He said as he walked towards her on the black sands. "It won't be easy..."

 

[RedCoat]

"I know, but... I don't want to ever put Azure through... that again." Her voice quivered softly, even as he'd see how she was dressed, in her usual comfortable loose clothing and how woefully underprepared she was for actual training. They'd be ripped in a heartbeat from the first move.

Boon nodded at her slowly. "I understand..." He said looking at her clothing. "...you're not going to wear that are you?"

She blinked in response, taking a minute to process what he'd said "Uh... is... is there something wrong with what I'm wearing?" She asked, mumbling in confusion as she did so.

"They aren't going to last. I'll let you get something better for battling." He said walking to the inbuilding center, and mart, to grab her some work out gear

"Oh, Oka..." She trailed off as he walked in, following meekly behind him, waiting like a schoolkid might, when a Teacher was looking for spare clothes in a gym class.

He picked through the marts shelves, drawing out a set of tights and and a battle top. They were simple, branded ofcourse, bit he held them out to her. "Fitting room is over in that corner, these should do for the day."

Shade blinked, looking at the items before nodding and heading into said fitting room, closing the door and changing, coming back out in the tights and top, a mild frown on her face as she adjusted the top "Bit tight..." She muttered softly, even as she glanced downwards, feeling slightly uncomfortable with the tights being the only thing over her legs. But she shrugged and continued onwards, looking up at Boon.

"So. What are you trying to do here." Boon said as she came out, hus arms folding at his chest, angling his head. "You want to learn to defend yourself. But what else"

“I told you. I don’t want Azure to have to go through that again. So I want to get strong enough to protect myself.” She replied, crossing her arms in turn, narrowing her eyes slightly.

 

[Knight_of_None]

"I know that." He said stepping up to her.. "I'm not going to team just your strength, I'm going to push you. That I'd the nature of this hearth. Is there anything else."

She took a step back as he stepped towards her, instinct driving her away from him as he looked over her “I don’t… I don’t think so…” she mumbled, biting her lip even as her mind tried to clamp down on her sudden panic, wondering where it had arisen from.

"Alright." He said seeing her step back, he moved to a weight bag, putting his hands on it. "I want you to hit this '

She nodded and walked over, pulling back her hand and throwing quite possibly the worst punch he’d ever seen, barely contacting the bag, but putting far too much energy into it, almost causing her to trip and fall.

Boon moved his hand catching Shade by the shoulder. "You're going to need to work on aiming" He said as he steadied her out. Boon stepped out around the bag and stood beside her. "Let me show you"

She grunted as he caught and confined her wild swing, taking a second to glance at him before sighing and giving a slow nod “Aiming… right…” she muttered, even as she stepped back from the bag.
