Aethel meandered through the village just as dusk began to fall. She’d had to work in her fathers mill that morning, and she was ready to destress. The perfect place to do that was the tavern, of course, although if she found a good distraction along the way, she wouldn’t necessarily pass it by.

Erik was staring again. She waved and smiled, enjoying his confusion as he pretended he was just now noticing her. He gave a confused return wave, then went back to splitting wood. She was pretty sure he’d be back to staring as soon as she passed. She smiled, enjoying her ability to distract and attract attention.

The village was small, perhaps considered too small to house a tower for the wizard that dwelled inside it. But it sprang up one day, puffing it's odd pink smoke from the chimney stack at the top. Rumors spread instantly. The Wizard was said to be a giant of a man, while others said he was short and stout, some said they heard the voice like an angel singing away in the dust of night from its windows. Needless to say, the people never quite had one story to tell of the mage inside. They would rarely leave, but if one came in need they would be let inside.

The village gaurd, to sat the least were displeased by the outsider for a while. They were local men, taking it upon themselves to keep things safe in the remote village. Goblins had been known to try to sneak in and steal or block the roads after all. As Aethel wandered the night, she saw one of the gaurdsmen, Luis, a powerhouse of a man, his mother claimed he was a completely human boy when he was born, but he was taller than most at 7 feet, and stronger too. He was often silent, a rugged imposing sight to some, in leather armor, a large axe on his back, but he was never cruel or rude. Rumors around him were simple. His mother had been clearly mingling with a Goliath or Hill Giant, and her husband had to pretend it wasn't true. Nevermind that Luis had his fathers eyes and his mother rarely if ever wandered out of the Village.

Luis stood by the village main gates, arms folded, looking out at the road like a unwavering statue.

Aethel turned and wandered over toward Luis. His hulking form had always both intimidated and attracted her. She could never get much out of him, although she hadn’t really tried.

“Good evening Luis.” She smiled, glancing up and down his massive frame. “Anything exciting happening today.” She came to a halt in front of him, head tilted back to look up at his face. “I was stuck in the mill all morning, and I’m worried I might have missed something fun.”

Luis looked over at her, his brown hair dangling over his eyes briefly. He moved a hand sweeping it aside as she spoke to him. His green eyes on her soft face. The man mountain simply shook his head at her, his stubbled face simply raising an eyebrow at her. A silent question but he clearly was wondering what she was going ti get up to this time.

Luis gave her a quizzical look, but looked up at the moon a moment, counting in his head no doubt. He moved a hand, large, and rough with small scars and labor. He raised a calloused finger. An Hour left to his duty. She definitely saw him here at the start of the day, most guards had at least 3 periods to rest. But Luis normally only took 2, somedays he even only spent 1 rest throughout the day. If he wasn't a guard, he probably would have made quite a name for himself as a wandering adventurer, saving damsels and slaying monsters.

(XD Aethel: I do love climbing.)

Luis folded his arms as she started flirting with him, looking around wordlessly a moment, but then to to her. He leaned forward, shading her from the moon light as his frame loomed over her. She probably would have to wrap her arms around his thick neck just to hold herself up closer ti him. He moved a hand to his hip and took out a silver peice. He flipped it in his hand and looked at it. He hums then rolled it in his fingers again, showing her the back of it. On it was a depiction of a large oak tree. It was at the center of the village where the gaurd house was as well as the villages community center. He pointed then to himself then to her. He'd meet her there.

Luis was hard to miss when he came down the road, walking to the great oak. He looked around briefly, scanning the road....then the base of the tree. He focused in on her subtle shadowed state. He walked closer, standing off to the side of her. He looked down at her, folding his arms again.

Luis nodded to her, seeing her shyness coming up again. He reached put and gently took the ale with a nod to her of appreciation. He sips the Ale slowly, a moment but kept an eye on her. His eyes felt almost intense on her, as stalwart as his large frame. Was he picking up on her behavior? Recognizing the way she was acting by now?

Luis smiled slightly, giving a faint chuckle, knowing that she was poking fun at his quiet nature. He drank a bit more and hummed ti himself. Luis leaned in the tree, the thump making a slight creak from above. "You came to me." He said softly, his voice was deep and collected. He rarely spoke, so when he did, it was with precision in mind.

As she laid her hand in his chest armor, pressing against him, Luis hummed to himself. He turned his head, drinking some more of his Ale. "Are you offering enough to know." He replied simply as he looked down at her, he however didn't move to touch her back at all.

He hummed again, her whispers reaching upon him. Luis moved his great hand, placing one on her to gently slide her back off of him. He swung back the rest of his Ale, and started to walk away from her silently...he paused a moment and looked over his shoulder expectantly before waving his hand for her to follow him.

The guardsmen moved through the village, keeping to the shadows as much as he could. Not that anyone would judge him for a dalliance with the likes of Aethel, but he was a shy man himself despite the looks of him. Her brazen attempt was enough to...make sure he would take measures to keep things a bit under wraps. He stopped at his home, opening the door up and walking inside...keeping it ajar for her to follow.

She slipped inside, instinctively closing the door behind her. She stopped, looking around to inspect the house. The secrecy he was keeping to subdued her usually brazen manners. Her heart rate was higher than usual, even for getting into one of her flings. She stepped toward him, studying his expression for any sign of what he was thinking or feeling. She didn’t read much, which was rather unusual.

Luis turned to her, his arms flexing as he reached up and undid the straps to the rigging of his his Axe. The great weapon slid down slowly but he caught the straps to keep it from.hitting the ground. He set it aside on top of the table. In his home, it was a larger accommodation, the ceiling high enough that he wouldn't have to stoop as he did in other buildings. It was a well kept place, with a few rawhide rugs along the wooden floor. The walls were a soft sandy Birch wood, lined with hefty stones. A fireplace was at the east wall, a chair set for company, even curtains out in this main room. Towards the back, behind him was a door way, likely his bed room. He waved her closer with a finger, keeping his cool headed exterior.

He looked at her over his shoulder, stopping as they crossed into the bedroom. It was simple, but she saw the large bed at the corner of the room, it probably could have been king-sized in any other home, to fit 3 maybe 4 people. across from it was a chest, and a desk with small bits and bobs, likely mementos from festivals. A small portrait frame was stood up on it...but He reached out and turned it gently so it was facing the wall. He shifted his belt off next, pouches and manacles clinking around as he set them on the desk. He turned to her slowly. "Help me." He said as he moved her hand along his armor, she could feel and see the small knots and locks holding him within.

She smiled. The best presents came wrapped. Skilled fingers moved over the armor. This definitely wasn’t the first time she had helped someone off with their armor. Piece after piece was gently loosened and carefully laid aside. She knew that, unless in the throes of passion, solders were always careful about their armor. Fingers also danced and glided over the place where the armor was gone too.

As she un dud his armor, the hard leather giving way to the powerful build underneath, Luis was a wall of muscle, ofcourse she could have guessed it. But her imagination did it no justice. Her heads traced through his every ridge, his skin warm, dewy from watch duty. He swept her up his his arms with ease, like she was a mere doll. His skin was roughed woth some scars, but they only added to the charm of the man mountain she has yet to climb. "I have only one thing then." He said as wrapped a hand around her top, he probably could pull it free without her ever having a chance to move. "Why?" He said simply

Luis tilted his head at her answer, his impassive look returning. Did he believe it? She didn't seem the type that would merely lie. Luis shifted as sge traces his scars, moving her into the bed, and pulling her shirt up over her head. His other hand moving to handle her breast.

She lifted her arms, helping him remove her shirt. She knelt on the bed, her supple body complying with his strength as he placed her here. “You’re strong. You’re brave. And I meant what I said about you deserving a reward.” She leaned her face up toward his. “I don’t offer you love. Not I. But I offer you my admiration and my body.” She stretched up, green eyes swimming just before his face. She leaned in and kissed him.
