Kalin slaps her, glaring. "Get the fuck out." He steps closer to her, "You're a whoring piece of trash, Suzy. You won't have anyone, especially Derek. He's my boyfriend. And next time I find you all over him, I'll remind you what happens when you piss me off."

 

[Firestarter]

Suzy covers her cheek with one hand and looks around the office, seeing all of the other workers watching. She turns back to Kalin and glares at him, "You'll regret that you fucking bitch. I always get what I want." She turns and storms off as a few of the other employees laugh and clap for Kalin.

Back in Derek's office, Derek paces around while calling his lawyer and giving him all of Suzy's information.

Kalin huffs and turns, walking back int Derek's office. He leans against Derek's desk, watching him silently.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek ends the call and breathes heavily, clenching his fits before looking up at Kalin, "Are you okay? Did she do anything to you?"

"No. I slapped her." Kalin smirks, "Left a claw mark on her face from my nails."

 

[Firestarter]

Derek huffs a small laugh and smiles, "Maybe I should call you my firecracker instead." He steps closer and wraps his arms around Kalin, "I take it you two knew each other?"

Kalin nods, "Oh, yeah." He leans into Derek, "We did. We hated each other back in school."

 

[Firestarter]

"Damn, that far back?" Derek huffs and shakes his head, "She's no longer going to be here. I'm not having someone like that in my company."

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

Kalin nods and pulls back, "Still up for lunch?"

 

[Firestarter]

Derek smiles and nods, "Where do you want to go baby?"

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

"Flemming's again. I want the Mac and cheese." Kalin wiggles slightly, grinning.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek laughs and shakes his head, "Alright, I guess I still don't make it well enough compared to them." He keeps one arm wrapped around Kalin as they walk out of the office and head for the elevator.

Kalin huffs, "You do! Well. . . Sometimes."

 

[Firestarter]

"Sometimes? What am I doing wrong then?" Derek tilts his head, honestly confused and looking like a bewildered dog.

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

Kalin laughs, "When it doesn't, it's usually cause I want to go out and eat."

 

[Firestarter]

Derek huffs and leads Kalin inside the elevator, "Then why don't you just tell me? You know I don't have a problem taking you out whenever you want."

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

"Because. I know sometimes you like staying in. I care about what you want to." Kalin nuzzling into him.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek smiles and holds Kalin close, "You should still tell me, okay?"

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

Kalin shakes his head, "No, because then you'll take me out and then you'll be grumpy. You care about me, so I care about you."

 

[Firestarter]

Derek sticks his tongue out at Kalin for a moment then smiles, "I just want you happy, even if it means doing something I don't have energy for."

As the elevator continues to descend, Derek keeps an eye on the maintenance light, almost wanting it to stop again.

Kalin pokes Derek's chest, "Get your head out of the gutter. And it's not all about me. It's about you too. It's a partnership. Not a- a job."

 

[Firestarter]

Derek playfully bites at Kalin's finger, "It's not my fault that this elevator has become a special spot for you and I." He chuckles and smiles, pulling Kalin closer and wrapping his arms around him, "I know baby, I'm just used to being that one to do everything. Just give me time to get used to being cared for, okay?"

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

Kalin goggles, "Well. . . Yeah. . ." He blushes and presses his face I to Derek's shoulder. He nuzzles close for a moment, relaxing. "I know. If you suffer sometimes, I can suffer sometimes too." He kisses Derek's shoulder.

 

[Firestarter]

A low growl escapes Derek's lips and his arms tighten around Kalin, "You will never suffer. Not if I have anything to say about it."

He kisses the top of Kalin's head and takes a small breath to calm himself, "Also, I have something to tell you when we get to Flemmings. I'm sure you're going to love it."

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

Kalin squeaks, "I didn't mean it like that, Derek-" He wiggles. "More like- uh- fuck. I dunno."

Kalin blinks once and looks at Derek, tilting his head, "Oh?"

 

[Firestarter]

Derek smiles softly and kisses Kalin's forehead, "Yes, its something we can both enjoy."

As the elevator opens, he leads Kalin to the garage and opens the backdoor for Kalin so he can climb into the car.

Kalin looks at Derek for a moment and then climbs in, humming softly.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek climbs in and motions for the driver to take off, having already texted him that they were going to the usual spot. "So how was your day before coming here?"

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

Kalin hums, "I snuggles with Stary in bed. And then had the driver help me to the car. But I may have gotten too excited and came in by myself." He shrugs.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek huffs a little and lightly pinches Kalin's cheek, "Keep that up and I'll strap you into a wheelchair."
