Kalin giggles, "No. You were demanding and bossy, but that hasn't changed, even with us dating. I just saw you as Amanda who got sit done."

 

[Firestarter]

Derek rolls his eyes and shakes his head, "I just want you to take care of yourself. Is that a problem?"

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

"No,I mean in general. You bossy in bed, at the dinner table,in the office. You're bossy about everything.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek grumbles and huffs as the food is brought to the table.

Kalin smiles softly, leaning back.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek starts with a sip of his usual glass of Scotch before starting in on his steak, "I'm surprised you wanted the same thing as me."

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

"I wanted to try it. It always looks really good." Kalin shrugs, smiling at Derek.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek smiles and takes a bite of his steak, chewing slowly as he watches Kalin to see his reaction.

Kalin looks down and slowly takes a bite, humming thoughtfully. He smiles slightly, "That. . . Is okay."

 

[Firestarter]

Derek rolls his eyes and shakes his head softly, "You know you're not a big steak eater like I am. You should've gotten something that panders to your tastes more."

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

Kalin sticks his tongue out at Derek, "I actually love steak, thanks. Just not American steak." He Snickers and takes another bite.

 

[Firestarter]

"You are too much. Try putting some steak sauce on it if you want." Derek gently places a bottle of steak sauce a little closer to Kalin, just in case he wanted to try it.

Kalin makes a face,"Why the fuck would I ruin perfectly good food with that shit?" He huffs and shakes his head, "No, thank you."

 

[Firestarter]

"It was just a suggestion, you don't need to be bratty about it." Derek huffs. He continues to eat his food while sipping his Scotch. "Is there anywhere you would like to try next time? I wouldn't mind going to a place that only you know about."

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

Kalin laughs softly, "Sorry-- but I just an a brat, Derek. You gotta get used to it." He teased, grinning at Derek.

He shrugs, "I know of this ika Mexican restaurant downtown."

 

[Firestarter]

"That's sounds good, we could always go there next time or just randomly if you want." Derek smiles at Kalin, watching the other eat.

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

Kalin eats his food swiftly, "Mmkay." He eventually finishes ad leans back, wiggling slightly.

He taps his fingers in the table and then picks up a straw, fidgeting with it.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek finishes his food and shoots back the last of his Scotch, "I need to invest in a fidget toy collection for you."

Kalin blinks and looks up, currently tearing the straw to pieces, "Huh? Why would you do that?" He tilts his head, dropping the plastic pipes and picking up a napkin

 

[Firestarter]

"So you don't make small messes like that, even if it is kind of cute." Derek chuckles, hoping the bits stay on the table.

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

Kalin blinks and then puts the napkin down, blushing, "Sorry. Nervous habit." He settles back against his seat, closing his eyes.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek tilts his head, still smiling at Kalin, "It's okay, it's not a problem, but why are you nervous?"

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

"Um, going away with you for two weeks." Kalin shrugs, "Cause,like, what if I do something wrong? Or I piss you off? Or you finally see something in me you can't deal with?" Kalin bites his lip, turning away.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek reaches across the table and gently takes Kalin's hand, "Baby, that's part of being a couple. I want to get to know everything about you. Even if it's something that might not sit well with me, it makes you who you are." He gives Kalin a reassuring smile and caresses the back of the other's hand with his thumb, "Relationships aren't perfect, but that's the fun part. I'm sure there are thing's that I might do during that trip that might make you made, but we will just talk it out and discuss what is on our minds."

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

Kalin blinks, staring at Derek. He looks down at their hands, gripping Derek's tightly. He traces his fingers over Derek's palm, swallowing thickly. "I just. . . It still makes me nervous though. . ." He murmurs.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek smiles warmly and reaches across the table with his other hand, gently lifting Kalin's chin to look in his eyes, "I know, baby. I know, but nothing is going to change the way I feel about you. You have your roots embedded so deep in my heart that no matter what, you will always be there."

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

"You mean my claws." Kalin snickers, nipping playfully at Derek's fingers.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek chuckles and nods, letting Kalin snag one of his fingers between those pearly teeth, "Yes, your claws that I want to feel dig into my back as you take everything I can give you."

Kalin's face flushed and he sucked on Derek's finger eagerly. "Hmmm. . ." He shrugs.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek licked his lips and smirked, pushing his finger deeper into Kalin's mouth, "Is that something you want, my little minx?"
