Kalin smiles, "I liked the. . . Tech, to be honest. I mean, come on, who doesn't want a free, latest model tablet?" He grins.

After a moment though he shrugs, "Though, to be serious, I don't really know. I was getting desperate. People wouldn't however me simply because I had a GED instead of a diploma and no collage degree. I was just applying wherever I could."

 

[Firestarter]

"There's really no different between a GED or high-school diploma other than the literal title. You are still just as smart and competent if not more than any other graduate. Also, a college degree does little for someone in the long run unless they know someone of high standing or it's a medical degree."

Derek pulls Kalin close and holds hm tightly. "I'm glad you came to my company, not just because I got to find the love of my life, but because you were one of the best employees there."

Kalin smiles and looks up at Derek, "I know " He states cheekily.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek huffs a laugh as the car pulls up to the book store. He carefully opens the door and climbs out, holding out his hand to help Kalin. "You ready to find some new books?"

Kalin takes his hand, clambering out, "Hmm, I suppose."

 

[Firestarter]

Derek leads them into the book store before letting go of Kalin's hand. "Go ahead and see if you find anything that interests you. I'm going to the reference department for just a moment."

Kalin nods and then wanders off, quiet.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek walks over to the reference department, getting directions to their wedding planning section before heading over.

Kalin finds a few books and then texts Derek, Where are you?

 

[Firestarter]

Derek checks his phone and smiles before replying, In the back of the store on aisle 12.

Kalin sends a heart and then wanders over, sucking in a breath, "You came over here without me?" He pouts teasingly.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek shrugs and smiles, "You're not the only one excited about getting married."

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

Kalin smiles brightly, grasping Derek's arm tightly, "I know, I know."

 

[Firestarter]

"So how would you like to do things? Plan it our selves or hire a wedding planner to help?"

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

Kalin huffs, "Ourselves. No need to spend money on a planner. Then we can spend more on the wedding itself."

 

[Firestarter]

Derek chuckles and nods, "Alright, do you have a venue in mind?"

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

Kalin bites his lip, chewing on it.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek thinks for a moment before smiling wider, "How about at the mansion? We can make it as big or as small of a wedding as we want."

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

Kalin smiles and nods, "That sounds perfect." He leans into Derek, "We can do a minimal wedding and a perfect honey.oin."

 

[Firestarter]

Derek growls softly at the idea of their honey moon. "Now that's a trip i want to go all out for."

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

Kalin squeaks, "You have that sparkle I. Your eyes-" He blushes.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek smirks and rolls his shoulders, "I want that trip to be perfect in every way. Sight seeing, lounging, tons of food tasting, dancing, and of course you know what else." Derek winks.

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

Kalin blushes more, "Derek-" He grumbles, crossing his arms and looking away. He nestles into Derek's side, hiding his smile.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek sighs softly with a smile and turns to hold Kalin close. "It's not the top thing on my mind, I promise."

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

Kalin smiles at him, "I know, I'm messing with you." He kisses Derek softly, looking into his eyes, "I know we'll have the best honeymoon, okay?"

 

[Firestarter]

Derek smiles and kisses Kalin's nose softly. "Okay baby. Now I want you to think of the place you've always dreamed of visiting and how long you want our honey moon to be for."

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

"I want to go everywhere with you." He looks up at Derek, green eyes wide. "And a month at the least."

 

[Firestarter]

Derek chuckles and nods, "A traveling honey moon sounds perfect, but I think we will make it longer than one month."

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

"Three?" Kalin laughs,pressing close to Derek, "Or a whole year?" He giggles.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek laughs and pets Kalin's head while holding him close, "We can make it as long as you want it to be."
