After about 30 minutes, Derek walks back into the room while rolling his shoulders. "Don't worry, he's not going to shatter into pieces." Derek teases as he sees Kalin's nervous expression.
Derek rolls his eyes and shakes his head while smiling, "Kalin, sweetie, what do you think is going to happen when I go to work? You'll be left alone with the kids."
Derek laughs and gently pets Kalin's head. "Relax baby, we will hire a nanny, but you can't deny that even your parents would tell you that you need to bond with him."
Derek gently lifts Kas into his arms, cradling him while looking at Kalin, "Babe, look at me. You can do this. Just hold your arms like mine. I will be right here to make sure everything is okay."
Derek carefully places Kas in Kalin's arms, placing his hands on Kalin's forearms to help support the baby. "See, you've got this. Just imagine you're holding Starry, if that helps."
As the enter the bedroom, Derek shushes Kalin softly before leading him to the crib. With gentle movements, he helps guide Kalin's arms as they place Kas in the crib.
