Kalin pauses and then laughs, "No, not right now." He reaches down, running a hand over her hair before going back to the food.

Kas keeps fussing, waving his hands slightly.

 

[Firestarter]

Demi blows a raspberry and smiles before walking over to the kitchen table, climbing up on the chair and kicking her legs lightly.

Derek shushes Kas softly and holds the bottle up to his lips, hoping he will latch. "Come on buddy, you can do it."

Kalin smiles, looking at Demi, "What do you like? Game, cheese and tomatoes? Or onions?"

Kas wraps his lips around the bottle and tries to latch, brow furrowing with frustration.

 

[Firestarter]

Demi smiles and plays with her hair, "Whatever is best for me Papa. I got used to just eating whatever was given to me at the orphanage."

Derek frowns lightly and adjusts the bottle for Kas, hoping he can latch.

Kalin thinks for a moment and then sets a few small glass bowls in front of Demi, with ham, cheese, tomato, onion and green peppers respectively. "Why don't you try a small bite of each of these and tell me if you like them?"

Kas starts fussing again, swatting at the bottle as if that would help.

 

[Firestarter]

Demi wiggles in her chair and takes a small piece from each bowl. She smiles and hums happily as she tastes each one, but struggles to fake a smile when she tastes a piece of tomato. "They're all good...except that one."

Derek whines softly and adjusts the bottle once more, "Come Kas, daddy needs you to eat buddy."

Kalin nods, pulling the tomato away, "Good girl." He starts making the omelette, looking at Derek.

Kas keeps fussing, looking at Derek.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek takes a deep breath to stay calm as he starts to worry, "Kas, buddy, come on. You're scaring me."

Kalin frowns, looking back at the food

Kas slowly latches onto the bottle, starting to eat.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek blows out a sigh of relief and slowly takes a seat with Demi at the table.

Kalin finishes Demi's omelette, and sets it and a fork in front of her.

Derek smiles at Demi as she grabs her fork, waiting patiently for everyone to have their plate first.

Kalin eventually serves Derek and complete and then himself.

 

[Firestarter]

Demi smiles and looks around the table, "Thank you for breakfast Papa."

Derek smiles and looks down at Kas, making sure he's still eating.

Kalin kisses Demi's temple, smiling softly. "Of course, pumpkin."

Kas has his eyes closed, gripping onto the bottle.l slightly

 

[Firestarter]

Demi smiles widely before digging into her omlette.

Derek watches with a smile and glances at his omlette, being too nervous to move and possibly mess up Kas's eating.

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

Kalin smirks and cuts off a bite of Derek's omelette, moving it towards the other's mouth, "Come on, babe~" He teases.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek scrunches his face at Kalin in playful annoyance before taking the bite of food.

Demi giggles and continues eating her food.

Kalin smiles, giving Derek a few more bites before going back to his own good.

Kas pulls away from the bottle, starting to fuss again. ~ stinky > ~

 

[Firestarter]

Derek looks down at Kas and frowns, "What's wrong buddy?"

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

Kalin snickers, "Whelp he stinks."

Kas keeps fussing.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek wrinkles his nose and stands up from the table. "Okay, let's go ahead and give you a bath first and then we get you into a new diaper."

Kas keeps fussing.

Kalin sighs softly, rubbing his temples.

 

[Firestarter]

As Derek walks away, Demi looks up at Kalin and tilts her head, "Is everything okay, Papa?"

Kalin smiles, "Yes, he's just fussy because he used the bathroom."

 

[Firestarter]

Demi nods and takes another bite of her food, "How old is he?"

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

"Only a few months." Kalin murmurs.

 

[Firestarter]

"Ooh...he's so little." Finishing her plate, Demi climbs out of her chair and tries to carry her plate to the sink.

Kalin watches, following her closely and making sure she doesnt drop the plate.

 

[Firestarter]

Lifting up onto the tips of her toes, Demi set the plate on top of the counter. She pouted as she struggled to see above the counter top, being just a touch too short.
