Kalin laughs softly, taking the plate and setting it into the sink. "You did good."

 

[Firestarter]

Demi crosses her little arms and huffs, "But I'm too short to reach the sink."

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

"You'll be tall enough soon, Pumpkin." He ruffles her hair

 

[Firestarter]

Demi smiles and hugs Kalin's legs, "I hope so!"

As she pulls away, Derek calls out to Kalin, "Baby! Can you reach into that bag by the couch and bring me a diaper please?"

Kalin smiles, "Good girl." He walks to the couch, digging through the bag. He find the diapers and sighs, walking over to Derek, handing it over.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek smiles before noticing Kalin's lack of enthusiasm, "What's wrong sweetie?"

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

"Baby poop-" He wrinkles his nose

 

[Firestarter]

Derek laughs and shakes his head, taking the diaper and getting it on Kas. "I know sweetheart. Just try to ignore the smell."

Kalin sighs, nuzzling into Derek.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek finishes cleaning up Kas and gets his diaper into place before lifting him up, "There we go, all better."

Out in the living room, Demi squeals loudly.

Kalin looks up and turns away, going back to Demi. He sits on the couch, "Pumpkin. . ?"

 

[Firestarter]

Demi comes running out of the kitchen laughing as Starry chases her.

Kalin laughs and then scoops Starry up, "Cat!"

 

[Firestarter]

Demi giggles and clambers onto the couch catching her breath. "She's so fun!"

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

Kalin huffs softly.

 

[Firestarter]

Demi looks up at Kalin, slowly losing her smile. "Did I do something bad?"

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

Kalin blinks and looks at her, "Oh, no, Pumpkin, you didn't "

 

[Firestarter]

Demi nods and grabs one of the small pillows on the couch, hugging it tightly.

Kalin smiles, picking her up and pulling her onto his lap with a soft grunt, "You didn't do anything bad, Pumpkin, okay?"

 

[Firestarter]

Demi smiles and relaxes back against Kalin's chest, "Okay. I just want to play with the kitty."

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

He nods, "Just don't chase her, okay, baby?"

 

[Firestarter]

Demi nods softly. "But she was chasing me."

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

"Well then, we best give her snuggles." *He gently sets Start in Demi's lap.

 

[Firestarter]

Demi squeals and pets Stary's fur softly. "She's so pretty and soft."

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

He nods, "And fluffy."

 

[Firestarter]

Demi giggles and continues to pet Stary and hums softly as Derek finally walks back out with Kas in his arms.

"Whew...that was a bad one."

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

Kas grumbles, snuggling against Derek.

Kalin looks up, laughing, "I never wanna do that-" he wrinkles his nose

 

[Firestarter]

Derek rolls his eyes and takes a seat next to Kalin and Demi. "You're gonna need to do it eventually."

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

Kalin huffs, "No." He crosses his arms.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek sighs and rubs his face with one hand while cradling Kas in his other arm.

Demi looks up at Kas and smiles, "He's grumpy isn't he?"
