Kalin gets dressed, yawning.

Derek walks upstairs and heads to the kid's room, gently waking up Kas and Demi.

Kas grumbles at being disturbed.

Kalin goes upstairs to the bedroom, walking into the bathroom to wash up.

After changing Kas into a clean diaper and a new onesie, He let's Demi help him set up a diaper bag for Kalin's mama to use.

Kalin wanders over, wearing pants and a lose sweater, leaning against the doorframe.

Kas watches, looking confused and babbling softly.

 

[Firestarter]

Demi giggles and hands Derek some more diapers along with some wet wipes.

Derek smiles and places them into the bag before looking up at Kalin. "Almost ready to go. Did your mom text back yet?"

He glances at his phone, "She said yeah. . ."

Derek nods and stands up, lifting the bag onto his shoulder while cradling Kas in the other arm.

Demi skips over to Kalin and hugs his leg tightly. "Is Abuela happy about us coming over?"

Kalin nods, "Mhm." He pats her curls, looking a little sleepy.

Derek snickers softly as he looks at Kalin before leading everyone out to the car.

Kas babbles non-stop, looking happy in Derek's arms.

Kalin follows, helping Demi into her seat before clambering into the passenger seat

Derek coos at Kas softly while climbing into the backseat with Kas in his arms. He smiles at the driver and tells him to head to Kalin's parent's house.

As the they start their drive, Demi looks out the window and hums softly.

Kalin watches the road, humming softly.

Derek chuckles softly as he looks back and forth at Demi and Kalin.

Kalin blinks and looks over, "What?"

 

[Firestarter]

"You are both so similar." Derek says with a smile, nodding at Demi.

Demi looks over and giggles. "I wanna be like Papa when I'm older!"

Kalin chokes, coughing and pressing his hand to his chest, going red. "Well, Pumpkin, you'll be very pretty."

 

[Firestarter]

Demi smiles and bounces in her seat. "But you're also very smart and cool Papa!"

Derek smiles and gently pets Demi's head.

Kalin smiles slightly, "Well, you shouldn't be exactly like me, you should've your own person too, Pumpkin."

 

[Firestarter]

Demi smiles and nods, "Okay Papa."

Derek chuckles a little before looking at Kas, "Makes me wonder who he's going to be like when he's older."

Kalin looks over at Kas, "I have a feeling, he's gonna be like Javi." He mutters.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek snorts and shakes his head, "Oh boy."

Kas blinks and then babbles more.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek laughs and boops Kas' nose. "Little devil."

Kas giggles and waves his hand.

Kalin looks back out the window.

Before long the car pulls up to Kalin's parent's house. Derek carefully climbs out of the car and grabs the diaper bag.

Esmerelda comes outside, smiling at Demi, and kisses her cheek before reaching for Kas.

Kali. Climbs out, looking at Derek and hugg g his mom.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek smiles and gently passes Kas into Esmerelda's arms. "Hola Señora, gracias de nuevo por cuidar a los niños con tan poca antelación."

After saying goodbye to Kas, Demi, and Esmerelda, Derek climbs into the back seat with Kalin and motions for the driver to take off. "You happy to be back in your old seat, sweetheart?"
