Kalin bites his lip and nods, carefully pulling away and leading Demi to the carpet, quiet.

 

[Firestarter]

Demi holds Kalin's hand tightly as they walk to the carpet. The moment she sees a pink unicorn doll on the floor, she squeals and rushes to grab it.

Kalin sikes slightly, watching her quietly, fidgeting.

 

[Firestarter]

While Demi plays with the toy, another little girl with tightly curled black hair and pink glasses walks over and starts giggling with Demi.

Derek watches for a moment before sitting down and talking with Miss Mary.

Kalin is quiet, watching Demi closely as he fidgets.

 

[Firestarter]

Having fun with the other girl, Demi runs off with her to play with a few other kids without even thinking about it.

At the same time, a woman walks over to Kalin and crosses her arms while tapping her foot. "Who the hell are you?"

Kalin blinks and looks up, staying quiet, cause anxiety.

The woman glares at Kalin and steps closer, "Are you going to tell me why you're here watching the kids?"

Kalin steps back, whining softly and point to Demi.

 

[Firestarter]

The woman rolls her eyes and gets ready to say something when Derek walks over and wraps an arm around Kalin's shoulders. "Do you want to tell me when you're doing here harassing my husband?"

The woman goes pale and stares up at Derek, "I...I...well he was staring at the kids and I.."

Kalin touches Derek's chest, "It's okay. She wasn't being the kindest, but she was doing it out of concern for kids." He mumbles, kissing Derek's cheek.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek glares at the woman, watching her nervously walk away after telling her son goodbye.

Kalin huffs, swatting Derek's chest lightly.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek takes a deep breath and turns to face Kalin. "Are you okay?"

"Don't glare." He whispers.

 

[Firestarter]

"She shouldn't be sticking her nose where it doesn't belong."

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

"And? You would be concerned if you saw a stranger staring at a bunch of kids." He points out, "Especially if it was our kids.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek grumbles and crosses his arms, "She didn't need to be a b-...that way in front of the kids."

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

"Now, now, don't sulk because I made a point." He smirks at Derek, taking his hand and pulling it from his chest.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek sticks his tongue out at Kalin before turning to watch Demi play. "She looks happy already."

Kalin just hides in Derek's chest, quiet.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek rubs Kalin's back softly before pulling away a little. "Come on honey, lets get you home and me to work."

"Take the day off." He mumbles.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek raises an eyebrow and smirks, "Oh? Now it's okay that I play hooky?"

He whines, gripping onto Derek tightly, "Yes! When I need you."

 

[Firestarter]

Derek chuckles and nods, gently rubbing Kalin's back. "Okay baby. I'll stay home today. Is there anything you want to do in particular?"

Kalin looks up at Derek, and nuzzles into him. "I wanna. . . Watch you."

 

[Firestarter]

Derek tilts his head and smirks, "Watch me what? Be specific, my little minx."

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

Kalin narrows his eyes, "You'll find out when we get home."

 

[Firestarter]

Derek chuckles and nods, "Alright baby." Leading the way, Derek opened the car door for Kalin and smiled. "Such a naughty request though. I love it."
