The Knight’s Desire (Thatguy - GajeelxLevy AU)

Levy Mcgarden was a very fortunate princess. She had grown up in a kingdom that was loved and revered by all who came to live in it. Levy was cherished by many, and had one dedicated knight who usually never left her side.

Levy was fine with that, as she considered the knight her friend, but she of course had lied to her father that she had no real attraction for him either, which her father was relieved enough to hear for she was meant to marry a prince and carry on the royal bloodline. Levy was not fine with that. She wanted to have adventures and explore the outside world, she wanted to marry for love.

Levy had also heard rumors once of a iron armored dragon and she desperately wished she could find the beast and hopefully befriend it…

She had already befriended a panther, who she affectionately named Lily, and she was hopeful that she could make more animal friends. Plus, who else were friends with a dragon? Dragon Slayers. But, then again she had also heard rumors of those dragon slayers turning into dragons themselves and her father warned her time and time again to never trust dragon slayers fully as they could potentially harm the kingdom in the future for they may turn out to be like Acnologia. She tried to defend the dragon slayers, but her father was set in his ways.

So there were many potions and spells to prevent the dragon slayers from becoming dragons themselves, but unfortunately one wasn’t so lucky. Yet Levy of course did not know that, but she figured if anything, if she was able by some miracle befriended this dragon she had heard of perhaps it would give her an insight on how dragon slayers could either control their dragon and use their beast form for good or if the only other way to stop them from becoming monsters was to suppress that magic.

Either way, her hunt continued and she began to read any book, sighting, anything she could get ahold of to figure out how to get to this dragon as she needed answers.

So, late one night she was in the library, trying to piece together clues and sightings- when she felt a familiar presence enter. Gajeel Redfox. He was that so called dragon slayer her father kept warning her about, but she didn’t see why she shouldn’t trust him, he had consistently protected her, and she wanted to find a way to help her friend. Sure of course things got off the wrong foot with them at first, and she has the scar to prove it.. but she knew he hadn’t been himself as that ‘dragon’ in him came out and had harmed her. That’s why her father was a bit mistrusting. That’s why Levy was searching for a way to help Gajeel.

“Are you still trying to find that damned dragon?” Gajeel had asked in a slight annoyed tone, peering over the table and at the books, quite surprised that the sightings were accurate to where he had last been. But of course, he didn’t want to let Levy know that, as he didn’t want her exploring where she shouldn’t. Sure, he thought it to be kinda adorable, that she was trying to find a way to ‘help him’ but he had more control over his dragon now than he had before. He made sure of it, as he never wanted to harm his Princess ever again.

Levy sighed and pushed back a strand of her sky blue magically dyed hair behind her ear and folded her arms in protest. "You know I'm doing this to help you, right?" she asked, giving him a small glare, but it was like a kitten trying to intimidate him.

Gajeel Formed a smirk at Levy "trying" to glare at him. "i know I know..but even if you did find this dragon what then?" Gajeel said as he let out a sigh. "shall i ask the maids to set the tables with tea and cakes for your little meeting with this beast" he said as his smile slowly disapeared as he looked at Levy. "I understand your just trying to help...but dont do this at the cost of your own health..." he said as he walked around her and looked at her with a worried look upon his face. He soon placed a hand gently on her shoulder and stared at her, his gaze shifting to the sightings to make sure he himself didnt revist the area. "its late...you should get some rest...i have to make a few more patrols and i wouldnt want to be the reason i kept you up" He said as he lifted his hand from her shoulder and placed hand towards her to help her up from her chair. He truely admired everything she was doing for him, but the more he saw her research the more it pained him to hide such a secret from her. he flashed a smile at her, though it looked more like an evil grimice he still made his attempts to ease her mind.

“I-“ Levy began to speak but was flustered from him teasing and then when he came around and touched her shoulder- she sort of froze up but Gajeel and that dragon nose of his could sense it wasn’t discomfort. Hearing about risking her health- and then of it being late she bit her lip and then gave a small sigh, “Fine, but don’t think you’ll stop me from searching,” she said with determination in her voice. “I want to help you Gajeel..” She spoke and took his hand, lifting herself up but then keeping her hand in his. “Please,” she asked, looking up at his face, brown eyes trying to search his unique red.

Gajeel smile turned to frown once more as he turned his gaze from her eyes. They were so warm and pretty to him that it made him blush. "fine...but dont do anything reckless" he said as he began to walk her to her chambers. "good night Princess McGarden." Gajeel said as he gave a bow to her as he began to to leave to do his rounds. for the night. Once he finished his partrol he attempted to sneak his way out of the castle and the town surrounding the castle. He made sure he was far enough away before he began to transform into his dragon form. He would soon fly to the area where the sighting was written. He flew past it and arrived near the area. he soon shifte dback to his human form. He began to shift his arm to a more claw like arm and began to forcefully take some scales off the arm. Each time he did this he winced and grunted, it was painfull but it would be for a good cause. He stopped when he had enough in his hand and soon shifted back to his dragon form. he flew over the area and began to scatter the metal scales around the area, he continued to fly back near the castle town and shift back. he looked at his arm and took a bit of cloth he had and began to wrap it around his arm. He soon sneaked his way back into the castle and began to lean against the wall that was connected to Levy's room and began to close his eyes to rest.

Levy opened the door up as quietly as she could and peeked out from it. She noticed Gajeel and then his arm. “You’re injured..” she spoke suddenly and walked out, her near sheer nightgown showing more than she realized. Her face was in that of a frown but even with her concerned look, she still looked so fucking adorable. She touched his arm with her hand, “I thought you said you had a few more rounds to take care of?” She asked, wondering what he would tell her.

Gajeel jumped awake at her voice hitting his head against the wall. "oww..y-yeah...oh..yeah" he said finally looking at his arm. "yeah i got banged up fi-" he said now seeing her gown his face was lit red as he watched her come to his arm. his jaw was slacked a bit as he tooked a gulped and looked away. "there was something i saw in the horizon...s-so i went to investigate...just a couple of thugs causing noise nothing to worry about princess" he said as his gaze would ocassionally would meet back to her nightgown. "um..princess....i can see...alot more of...your.." he said as he moved his eyes up and down, signaling what he was seeing.

Levy at first wasn’t listening to what he was saying about her nightgown, but then- her face went bright red as he began to comment and she backed up, “ah! I-Don’t- don’t look!” She tried covering up certain parts and went back towards her room. “Wait right there!” She yelled and disappeared into her room, and he could hear fumbling around, and her muttering out, “Stupid Gajeel..such a pervert..” but he could tell she wasn’t mad at him, just embarrassed. She came back out after a moment with a robe around her now, and she was tying it. Her cheeks still flushed. She came back over to him and put her hands on her hips and looked up at him. “And what have I always asked you? To be careful! This is this opposite of that!” She started, suddenly forgetting most of her embarrassment, but a small peek down the top of her night gown he could catch a glimpse of something.

Gajeel gave a slight nod as she went back to change. He soon stood up and looked at her. "yeah..i didn't get this from the thugs....that thing showed up and i had to make sure it didn't get too close..." he said as he turned his gaze away. "i knicked it pretty badly and it flew off" he said as he held his arm still wincing a bit. "i couldnt back down...from it...so i had to do what i do best" he said as he turned to face Levy. "i had to fight to protect your kingdom Princess" he looked down at her. he soon notice the top of her night gown was still visible but focused mostly on her eyes.

“You..used your dragon slaying magic?” She asked next, listening to his story, looking a bit confused. “Wait..it..flew off….!” she gasped, her eyes becoming wider than before. “You saw the dragon!” She seemed to shiver in anticipation. “What did it look like?! Was it covered in iron like the descriptions say?!” She paused and then looked a bit concerned, “Since you fought it, it couldn’t be your dad..” she breathed out next, seemingly trying to piece together the clues now. “You must take me to where it was! I want to see the tracks, the scales..!”

Gajeel blinked at her questions but soon his eyes became wide when she asked him to take her to the site. "Uhh....s-sure....but first...you need to get dressed and have your breakfast with your father first..." he said as his gaze moved down towars the top of her night gown again. "please get dressed before someone comes out and sees you like this...for someone so smart and cute you sure are clumsy" he said plaininy until he realized what he said and soon bit his lip in shock. He hoped she didn't hear him say that.

She blinked. “It’s still nighttime Gajeel..” she mentioned and motioned out to the window, indeed, it was late, almost midnight. She completely blew past what he had said. She was still obviously excited about the dragon. “So you agree that you’ll take me in the morning then?” She asked, looking back to him, her bubbly personality shining like ten thousand candles in the darkness.

Gajeel blinked as he looked towards the window. "oh...Oh right..yeah mhmm.. yes" he said his voice shaking he gave a slgiht cough and focued his mind. "yeah ill take you in the morn-...wait were you gonna go out there just now" he said now realizing that it was late he soon folded his arms and stared at her with a raised eyebrow. he slowly moved closer as he looked down at her with.

Her cheeks began to turn a shade of pink again before nervously shaking her head from his stare.. “Me? Out there like this? Well no..I would have changed first…” she began to speak, suddenly feeling a bit hot underneath his stare for some reason.

Gajeel soon moved closer to her until there was no where for her to move. "and what do you think would happen to me if you went missing and that beast decided to make you his night time snack" he said placing his hand against the wall. "so what your telling me is i should be outside this door making sure you dont sneak off huh?" he said giving his usual grin though this time his face seemed a bit anoyed.

Shit. He was so close, and she was backed against the wall. Thankfully no servants were out here this time of night. Even with his annoyed face she couldn’t help but still feel warm..no, hot and flustered..

“How will you know I won’t try to sneak out through the window?” She prompted, wondering what he would say.

Gajeel looked a little slightly annoyed by her comment and soon moved his face closer to hers. "then i guess ill have to pettion the king to have me at your bedside...wouldnt want you sneaking out to have some hooligan or beast to harm such a cute little princess" He said as his face got a bit red from the comment. he then realized how close he was but then looked at her face. she was so cute that the urge to kiss her was growing, a urge he faught so hard to keep low was slowly fadding from his mind

Levy let a small breath escape her lips as she focused on his face. “I-well..you-“ words were no longer forming, she was all sorts of flustered. Her eyes went to the piercings in his face, trailing them, down his nose, past his lips..

Gajeel couldnt take his his hand that was placed on the wall soon balled into a fist as his knuckles pushed agianst the wall. "why do you have to be so cute..." he finally said as he leaned in to kiss her. he held this kiss for as long as he could. after a while he pulled away his eyes in a slight daze. soon reality set in and his eyes widen as he imediatly pulled away from her face to turn his back to her. "you....you should get some rest...and please dont try to sneak out..."he said his back still facing her. though if she focued she could see the tip of his ear flashing a slight scarlet color.

Levy blinked in astonishment as she was kissed by him. His lips felt so warm. And at first she was lost in the moment but she eagerly leaned in, lightly tho, not to scare him and then…he pulled back. When she started to realize, her face turned bright pink and listening to his words she nodded, although he couldn’t see it he would be able to hear it. “R-Right..I-“ she shuffled past him, fumbling with the door knob. “Please get some rest too, if you can-” she mentioned to him next. What would he do if she wanted to get rest with..her? Gods. No..she couldn’t ask that of him. She turned the knob of the door and opened it, her robe was falling off of her shoulders already. Her petite body in the silhouette of the fabric was surprisingly curvy.

Gajeel managed to look at her as she entered her room. he cought a glips of her form and gulped as the door closed. Gajeel began rub his lips softly still can't believe that he actualyl did that. Wait...did she hate it....was i suppose to follow her in..no that cant be right. he thought more and more until he felt the familiar pain in his arm. he soon began to become grounded and sighed sadly. "right...as if she would enjoy that..." he said as he began to look at her door and began to slowly walk to the barricks where he had a bed there. he soon took off his armor and rested in his bed. his streams filled with Levy smiling dancing around him as if she was a fairy herself. He smiled as he reached for her, as he touched her the image of her form filled his dream, she had a sly smile on her face as she leaned into his face for a kiss. once their lips touched he awoke. "....god damn it...." Gajeel said as he rose from his bed. he looked under his blankets to check on something. though it wasn't a mess he was "standing at attention". luckly his armor could hide it he just needed to calm down. Gajeel soon dawned his armor and began to walk towards Levy's chambers and began to knock softly on the door. "princess? are you in there?" he said taking a small breath as he placed his hand on the doorknob and began to slowly open it. "Princess?"

Levy heard the knocking and she shuffled over to the door, opening it up and rubbing her eyes a bit. “Hm? Yes..I’m here..I wouldn’t go without you..” she mentioned groggily as she looked up. He was in his normal clothing. Could he not sleep? She had been dreaming..she had been exploring the area where the dragon had been.

"lets get you something to eat and get you dressed....you still want to see the sighting right?" he said looking away sighing. He made sure he wouldnt repeat anything from last night. So he kept a straight face at all times. "now hurry up princess" he said as he stepped out and leaned against the wall outside her room.

“It’s..so early,” She yawned and shuffled away from the door, heading back to her bed and slumping in the sheets. She slumped in a way that her cute little ass was exposed, showing her delicate black underwear with lace on it. She was hugging a pillow, snuggling back into the bed. “Five more minutes..” she murmured out.

Gajeel waited for the five minutes to past as he got alittle frustrated. he walked back into her chambers to see her in such a postion. God damn it why now are the Gods testing him. Gajeel thought as he moved closer to her. his eyes drifted to her panties and his jaw dropped slightly. "here i thought youd wear something more decent" he said outloud as he soon reached a hand over to her and gently shook her awake. "hey princess come on you gotta wake up" he said in a low tone.

“Hm? Why are you looking..dummy..” she murmured out sleepily, snuggling further in her bed, “Why don’t you join me? Get better rest..” she spoke as he shook her a bit, she grabbed his arm, tugging on it a bit. “The sun isn’t even up yet,” she mentioned, knowing the morning fog was rolling over the gardens right now.

Gajeel sighed as he looked at her. "fine...but you'll regret this" he said as he took his armor off carefully ans he returne to his sleeping outfit. he carefully got into her bed and made sure there was some distance between them. he was still hard but tried his bed to hide it. "there im in the bed..." he said with a slight pout.

Levy was back to sleep, but in her sleep she tossed and turned, grimacing a little. She woke back up and half asleep crawled over to Gajeel unaware of his situation. She then shifted and plopped down next to him, grabbing his arm and pulling herself in for a snuggle. She truly had to be half asleep to notice what she was doing. Right? “Please..let me help you,” she murmured out, and at first Gajeel would think she was talking in her sleep but he would find sleep filled eyes stare up at him with worry. She meant about his situation and not wanting him to lose himself to his ‘beast’. That’s why she had to find that dragon..ask if there was a way.

Gajeel face imediatly turned red as his soilder downstairs flicked slightly at what she said. "u-um...princess i dont think thats...appropriate...i mean i appriciate the offer but i w-would choose your words carefully" he said as he felt her rear brush against him, this was torture what did he do to deserve to be in this postion. the urge rose again as he started to pull her slowly towards him with his arm wrapped around her. "your really care about me that much huh.." he whispered feeling slight guilt for what he had one last night, he tried to protect her and have her not worry to much about him. but he seemed to resign to that fate, he didn't want her to get hurt again. the thought of the last time flooding through his head.

She settled in and looked up at him with her big brown eyes once more. “Of course I care about you Gajeel..” she made a face, “You’d be a dummy if you’d didn’t see it,” she seemed like she was pouting..and..was now mostly waking up. She realized she was close to him and her face tinged bright red. She shifted a little bit away and sat up against the pillows, folding her arms across her chest, unaware that she was pressing her small breasts up and practically presenting them for her knight. Her sheer nightgown really didn’t leave much to imagination, but the fact that she could be all his.. “I want to help you. You know that. I don’t..” she looked away from him, were her eyes misting a little with tears? “I don’t want to lose you.” She mumbled a little, clearly embarrassed to say such a thing to him. But she figured she’d say it now so he knew it, even after the kiss last night..
