Jultas gave a small smile and nod, not wanting to show just how much it felt like his heart was being ripped out. He was a young demon, but he was clueless. He knew that the chances of the moon goddess allowing him back in her domain were close to none. The risk of him being unknowingly followed by more deadly demons was too high.

"I appreciate you checking for me, Celeste. I would hate to lose such a special person in my life." Slowly standing back up, he looked out over the land with a sad smile, trying to memorize every detail about the forest. One thing the goddess couldn't stop him from doing was ensure that any and all demons stay far away from her domain. Even if Celeste were to never find out and he never see her again, protecting her until his final breath escaped his lungs would be worth it.

"Is there any where else you'd like to go or something you'd like to do? I wouldn't want to keep you out too late, but its no fun just being cooped up all the time either." Just a little longer. That's all Jultas wanted, just a little more time before he was forced to leave the gorgeous woman that had saved his life and tucked herself into his heart.

A..special person..? Celeste thought to herself briefly. The idea that Jultas had identified her as a special person to him made her heart flutter and her stomach fill with butterflies. She honestly hadn’t realized how much she meant to him in the short time they had spent together. Nor could she ever had guessed how sad his parting from her would affect him.

Celeste heard his next question and she thought about it, wondering where in the world she could go with him. She knew he would have to carry her to fly and flying still made her a bit nervous, but knew it wouldn’t be that scary since she trusted Jultas not to drop her.

“Can we go to the Wisteria tree? It’s located deep in the forest and I usually don’t travel there unless I have to,” she spoke, there was another pool of vitality by it, well— more like a small lake to be honest. She usually went there to revive her spirit in the waters and receive her visions from her goddess.

Jultas knew it was a bit of a stretch, asking if he could fly her somewhere else. She had already expressed how terrified she was of heights, and yet he was trying to make her endure it even more. He couldn't help but hope though. The way she had felt in his arms when they flew to the top of the waterfall had left his heart racing and wanting to be close to her again.

His eyes lit up as she mentioned the Wisteria tree. Even he had always wanted to see it up close. "Of course, that's not problem at all." Stepping closer, Jultas carefully scooped Celeste up into his arms again before taking off into the air. Just as before, she felt so light yet so perfect in his grasp.

He took his time flying to the Wisteria tree, trying to prolong their time together as much as possible. He smiled as he looked down at the trees below, feeling the wind wash through his hair. His feathers hadn't been aired out in so long, making the sensation even more intense. "May I ask what you go to the Wisteria tree for?"

Celeste felt him scoop her up once more and she gasped lightly. “Wait- I’m not..ready..!” She cried out as he took off. She pulled herself closer to Jultas again, trying to not think about how far away the ground seemed to be. Her eyes were tightly closed shut and they only opened when he asked her the question of why she went there.

She looked up at him and told him, “I usually go there to revitalize my spirit and receive visions from my goddess..” she explained, then added “I only go when I need to, but I think this exception will be alright,” she says. She didn’t realize he was taking his time to get there, and she didn’t realize how he was feeling in this moment.

When they did reach the tree, she slowly let herself down from him and felt the soft earth beneath her feet as she led him over to the large tree. “This tree has been alive for quite some time,” she mentioned as she put a hand on its large trunk.

A wide smile spread across his face as Celeste clung to him. It was a feeling he would give anything to keep experiencing. Even as he looked down to meet her gaze, Jultas had to fight to stay focused on her words instead of just getting lost in her beautiful eyes. "Visions? Wow. I had never thought of that being the goddess's choice of communication." Then again, it wasn't like he really ever thought about the moon goddess until he was saved by Celeste.

His mind wandered with thoughts of Celeste possibly bathing naked in the vitality pool that was there before he pushed the thoughts aside. The last thing he needed was to ruin the moment by showing off what was hiding in his pants.

Setting Celeste down with ease, Jultas tucked his wings away and followed her towards the tree. His eyes widened and his mouth hung open slightly as he let his head fall back to look up at the amazing sight before him. "It's amazing, Celeste. I'm glad I've gotten the chance to see it at least once in my life." Looking at her once more, he smiled and tilted his head. "Is there a specific reason you wanted to come here?"

Hearing him ask if there was a specific reason she shook her head and looked to him. “Not really. It’s just, a beautiful place and I’d figured I’d give you an opportunity to view it.” Normally demons were forbidden to be here, but she knew her goddess was understanding and see the situation that Jultas had been in.

Truthfully, Celeste didn’t want him to leave just yet, and she was trying to delay his departure as much as she could. Certainly he wasn’t by any means the man she would fall in love with, at least- she didn’t see it that way. Not yet. All she knew was that she enjoyed his company and she’d hate to be lonely once more in her solitude.

Celeste never really had any friends as most of the worshippers of the moon goddess remain in secluded areas or are by themselves like Celeste was. She hated that she was alone but knew her goddess would bring her a companion one way or another.

She had thought it first to be Jultas as the months had come and gone, but knew ultimately that her and a demon wouldn’t work out. Because her goddess had very particular set of rules when it came to them.

Either way, she smiled to him, her hair catching the rays of the moonlight, making her appear ethereal to Jultas, almost as if she were an angel from heaven. Her skin seemed so pale and soft to the touch, and her misty grey eyes held nothing but kindness for the demon in front of her.

Her words sent a jolt of hope to his heart and made it swell. Knowing she wanted to give him a chance to see a very sacred area was one of the most heart warming things. "It's beautiful, Celeste..." he murmured with a smile, stepping a little closer to the tree.

It was always a rare moment when a demon was allowed near an area such as the Wisteria tree. Normally his kind was barred from being any more than a mile away from them. It's flowers and leaves appeared to be soft and gentle, making him want to create a bed with the petals that fell from it.

As Jultas lowered his gaze back to Celeste, he felt his heart skip a beat. Her ethereal beauty rendered him speechless. His eyes widened and his mouth hung open slightly. Had he really been that blessed to be near someone as divine as Celeste? He wasn't about to question why, not wanting to push his luck.

The fact that he would have to leave soon broke his heart though. He didn't want to think about Celeste having to go back to her cottage alone. He couldn't let his fears and sorrows ruin the moment though. No, he needed to cherish ever second he had left with her.

Swallowing thickly and putting on a warm smile, Jultas took another step closer to Celeste before reaching out and gently grasping her hand. A soft kiss was pressed to her knuckles, allowing him steal the smallest of tastes from the woman who saved him.

"Thank you for allowing me to see this, Celeste. It is something I will never forget." His crimson eyes glowed in the brilliant moonlight as he caressed his thumb over the back on her hand. "But I must admit that while this location is truly something to admire, there's something else that's worth watching until the end of time."

At the gesture of the kiss on her hand- although her cheeks had stained a faint hue of pink, she didn’t exactly know how to respond. Especially when he said he was thankful for her allowing him to see this sacred tree. She gave another soft smile as she responded to him, “of course- you’re very welcome,” she told him now.

Celeste then titled her head slightly to one side the moment he said there was something else worth looking at, and was a bit confused. She glanced around the area, wondering exactly what he meant by that. So she asked, “There is?” She wonders what he would tell her. If anything, Celeste wouldn’t directly get the flirting or the compliments just yet— but it was something she would pick up on in time. For now, all she figured really was he was being very nice and appreciative.

He let out a soft chuckle and looked down for a moment. Such innocence and naivety was something Jultas would do anything to protect. Celeste was precious to him in more ways than one. It almost made him feel dirty for having thoughts about her that would make her blush so brightly, that steam would probably shoot from her ears. Celeste was a woman who could tell him that they would remain nothing more than friends until they both took their last breath, and Jultas would remain celibate for said time. He'd go as far as to fight all of the pantheons in existence if it meant keeping her the same for all time.

Lifting his gaze to meet her own once more, Jultas gently reached out and tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear. His eyes held a deeper warmth, one that only comes from true affection. "Yes, there very much is.... She's standing in front of me."

Celeste looked into his ruby red eyes, and as he tucked a piece of her hair behind her ear, he would notice the blush on her face become more prominent. “I—“ she began, not knowing what to say in response to that. He thought she was…

Swallowing down her shyness, she couldn’t help but glance away from him. This handsome man in front of her was saying such a thing?! Celeste didn’t know too much about men and their relationships with women, but of course she had read stories about them.

She had always hoped when she had gotten older that a love like that would find her, and that her goddess would bring such a companion to her. But to have it be a demon of all things? Surely this might have been a test from her goddess but she couldn’t really think on that right now.

She looked back to him and gave a soft nervous laugh. “Jultas…” she murmured out his name shyly, but wasn’t exactly telling him to stop complimenting her. “I told you flattery would get you nowhere..” she teased him again, but her teasing this time seemed a little bit more.. ‘flirtatious’, even if she hadn’t meant that to be her intent.

A soft laugh rumbled in his chest at her words, making him look down while keeping his hand up by her ear. She was firm in her devotion to the moon goddess, something he truly adored about her. "Don't worry, Celeste. I would never dream of trying to make you stray from your goddess' will. I merely wish for you to know how I see you."

His thumb brushed against her cheek, feeling the warmth from her smooth skin. The way the moon light caught her eyes made them shimmer like diamonds. It was a sight he would never get tired of seeing.

Finally dropping his hand, Jultas looked out over the small lake and took a deep breath. The beauty the forest was so new to him. His realm was desecrated, having lost its vitality pools many centuries ago due to demonic greed. A change was needed, one that would hopefully restore the demon realm to the glorious state it used to be long before his mother and father came to meet.

"I wish things could be different, that I was someone different." A small smile painted his face as he spoke, his chest rising and falling with each gentle breath. "I'm glad you are in this forest, Celeste. You are safe and have everything you could ever need here. I would hate for you to see the realm I live in. It's not worthy of your grace and kindness."

Celeste was wondering what was going through his mind the moment he told her he wouldn’t cause her to stray from her goddess. And she couldn’t help but blush a bit more when his thumb brushed against her cheek.

Hearing him say he wished he was someone different she frowned a bit more and shook her head. “Don’t say that,” she murmured out softly, “I..like you the way that you are now,” she tells him honestly, reaching out and touching on his hand gently.

She didn’t know what exactly she was saying to be completely honest— or, she did, and just didn’t want to admit it. Her heart was thumping rapidly in her chest as she told him that, hoping he wouldn’t find her weird for saying so.

He huffed a soft laugh and lightly wrapped his hand around hers, the small confession giving him useless hope that Celeste could love him some day. He knew better than to bet on the will of the moon goddess though. Due to the actions of his ancestors, Jultas was far from the idea the goddess had as someone worthy of being loved by one of her disciples.

"If that is so, then I will remain this way until the end of time." If anything he did could make her smile, then Jultas would continue to do just that so she would never go a day without brightening the world with her radiant smile.

He glances at her for only a moment before turning his gaze back to the lake. Part of him wondered if Celeste ever bathed in the cool water before pushing the dirty thought from his mind. She was a lady who deserved respect. "Please don't ever change, Celeste. This world is already lacking in kind souls like you."

Celeste smiled at his reply and then at his comment she gave a soft laugh, “I won’t promise anything, but I will try,” she assured him, and leaned a little against his frame. “Jultas..” she began as they overlooked the water together.

“Would you wish to bathe with me?” She asked him now, not fully understanding her question and what it could imply for him. Or what it would cause down the line for herself. Letting a demon bathe in one of these pools…she would face the cause to her action later.

As for now, she didn’t realize that.

She pulled away from his hand and stepped closer to the edge of the shore of the water, and let her feet feel the coolness of the waves rippling over her. She turned to Jultas, waiting on his answer.

His body tensed at her question. Did she even know what such a thing could lead to? He would need to fight himself ruthlessly to not act on his body's desires, but being able to see Celeste in such a way was impossible for him to turn down.

His breath caught in his throat as she looked back towards him. Had it not been for the cool air, Jultas would think he were dreaming. Steeling his nerves, Jultas smiled and gave her a small nod before stepping closer. "I would love to, Celeste. An offer such as this is one I could never refuse."

His heart pounded in his chest, blood rushing to certain parts of his body. His wings twitched as he fought himself internally, doing whatever he could to maintain his composure. "After you, my lady."

She smiled to him and moved to remove her garments. When she dropped her dress, her nude body was in full view for him for the first time. Her curves were delicate and her body was petite. Her chest was smaller than one would expect, but they still had a nice shape to them.

A light dusting of pink remained on her cheeks as he neared her and she looked at his face with her soft gaze. “It’s going to be a bit colder than one would expect,” she mentioned, but didn’t exactly know how hot his body temperature would be able to run.

And she slowly waded into the water, her hair at first floating behind her as she settled in. She shivered lightly from the coolness of it, and yet glanced to Jultas, wondering how he would think of the water. The feeling of the pool of vitality around them would soothe any further aches he might have carried, but it wouldn’t get rid of the ache in between his groin.

He swallowed thickly as he watched Celeste lower herself into the water. He could only imagine how it would feel to have her smooth skin sliding across his as the water splashed around them. He cursed himself for such a dirty thought, not wanting to jump to conclusions of what Celeste wanted.

"I'm sure the water will feel divine even with it being colder." If only he had thought his words through first. His eyes held that same warmth they'd had since he first woke to her beautiful face. Being tall enough to touch the lake floor, Jultas lifts his other hand out of the water to brush a few strands of hair from her face and cup her cheek. "I know you're not that niave, Celeste. So I'm sure you know there is something I'd like to give you, but only if you'd accept."

Surely this was a test from her goddess, and Celeste was currently losing. She hated that fact, but she was so weak willed when it came to Jultas. His warm gaze upon her didn’t help either, and so she bit her lip, before moving her hands to rest on his chest gently. While her cheek rested against his hand, she looked back to him, her heart was pounding in her chest. She didn’t know what would happen after this, but all she did know was that she wanted him.

“I…I do accept,” she tells him next with a soft gaze of uncertainty, hoping that he would go further and cross that bridge between them. Although not that naive, she was in fact becoming more shy by each passing moment. “Please, Jultas..” she says softly, her lips wavering lightly, hoping to be kissed by him, and in that hope, she prayed that she wouldn’t mess anything up.
