The Mage and the Princess (dream)

She flushed deeply from the kiss and then the words, she looked to him with a surprise expression. “I love you too-“ she breathed out happy to him, coming down from her high.

He tilted his head at her words. “Didn’t you know that is royals and our servants turn into the same forms of beasts- so that way,” he sighed, rubbing his head. “My memory is so fuzzy..”

Smiling toward her as she caught his breath, pressing his forehead against hers "Lets hope we are married before you end up with child" chuckling some, pecking her nose while hold her close to him.

Deciding best to stop with the questions she would take his answer with a nod, settling against the wall with a sigh trying to replenish her own memories. She could feel they were far from home, very far, and though was his servant they were not friends so she felt alone. Unable to imagine how he felt in this situation.

She laughed softly, “Even if I am with child, it would take a while before I show..” she pointed out with a grin, and laid on top of him, sighing softly and happily.

Ji-Hồng sighed and sat a little away from her, and he looked to her. “Out of everyone who could have ended up here with me..im glad it was you,” he admitted, knowing he had caught feelings for her way back when, but of course as a prince he had an image to keep..and his father was very strict on rules to begin with.

That response reassured his worries allowing him to enjoy this time with her all the more "can we sleep now?" he hums not letting her move from on top of him.

Glancing over as he sat a distance from her, speaking up a comment that was reassuring in a fashion, even brought a small smile from her "Same here, can't imagine if I was all alone, must be why I stuck close to you" speaking up quietly. She did not have the gift of remembering her time as a beast but she can remember her life before, but he was stressed she would keep her curiosity to herself.

“Mhm,” he would hear her mumble, already falling asleep with that. She yawned softly and cuddled close, glad to call him hers.

Ji-Hồng glanced at her again and laughed softly, “I hope so..im not well versed into remember My beast form yet..” he admitted, albeit a bit ashamed at doing so.

Rubbing her back he remained awake for some time, simply thinking mostly of how much things will change for him and them, he was going to have a wife, children, but running a kingdom as well. Sahir shook his head, closing his eyes in attempt of sleep.

Giggling in response she shook her head "We both were so young, you had not been taught yet so please do not fret" trying to reassure him. "Can't wait to find out why they put us in here though" she admits, looking around.

Ji-Hồng gave a small sigh, “I honestly don’t know but I’m sure we’ll know in the morning,” he spoke and stretched a bit. “I’m sure you won’t mind sleeping next to me then?” He asked, stretching out his hand and making a sleeping mattress appear, some blankets and soft pillows. Much better than sleeping on the hay.

Humming in agreement she got comfortable until looking over by his question to see his magic at work. She rose a brow his direction before crawling onto the mattress “just for tonight” curling up to her pillow. Took much energy on her body due to holding little magic in her blood.

He climbed in as well, giving a sigh. He wished he knew more magic to be able to unlock that stable door..but whoever unlocked it must have been higher up than he. Then again, what little he knew was from his previous life.

He then glanced at her and reached out a hand, and touched on her arm. His hand became very warm, and he began to offer her body some strength back.

Already beginning to drift off, she was taken by surprise of his hand touching her arm but she didn’t react. Remaining still she figured out what he may be doing before drifting back into sleep.

By morning Sahir had to part for his princess just after dawn, needing to start rounds but promised to come for breakfast with her. He of course went straight to the barn just to check on the horses, that no one messed with them. Entering the stable he b-lined for their stall a tas confused no seeing Cerius off the bat but figured he was lying down. Speaking an unlocking enchantment of his design the seal broke from the door allowing him to open the door to people. “What the hell!!”

Ji-Hồng jumped up from the sudden yell of Sahir, and he looked at him. “Sahir?!” He gasped audibly, Sahir- a man who had been friends with his parents..but had come to the western kingdom in search of him once he had been captured..but then ended up in the western kingdom as a trusted mage..and friend of the Princess. But of course when this happened, unfortunately Ji-Hồng had been Cerius at the time.

Blinking toward the man that spoke his name, looking him up and down a moment “The Prince” he mumbles. The woman also was awake with similar cultural features but gathered the situation. Eventually he attempted to stop himself from laughing “oh the irony!” Backing out the stall to let them out.

“I gather you know him?” She would question after stretching out from a night of slumber. Rising to her feet she happily slipped from the stall afraid of getting locked in again.

He nods and looked a bit flustered, “Well..” he stood and followed out of the stable. “He knows that I can- Well..transform-“ he paused and looked to Sahir, and Sahir could tell that the prince had somehow been Cerius this entire time. But how he had remained in such a state for a long time would baffle him.

Leading them out Sahir was mostly concerned of getting another horse than their situation “Yes, I do though based on how you look, you were still pretty young, didnt have any training yet” shaking his head. He would glance to the woman again “who is she?” Gathering she was Raana which really hurt his heart, he loved that horse. Was nice seeing a familiar face but the disappointment was there.

He gave a small sigh, noting his disappointment. “You do know we take forms of horses that already exist in nature, right?” He mentioned to Sahir and waved his hand, a whinny that was all too familiar to Sahir and Raana showed up, galloping from somewhere that she had appeared- a magical feat for certain, and a horse that looked like Cerius not too far from her.

He then glanced at his servant and bit his lip, “She’s..she my servant, but I guess since I’m no longer a prince..” he trailed off..

Seeming confused by such a comment before Sahir turned to see his mare return from thin air “oh sweet!” Grateful for that news. He didnt have enough coin to get a new horse from the market. “Yeah…” looking back to the woman, who looked at her friend confused by him biting his lip. “Sorry last I heard the royal family disappeared” shrugging with no hope of aiding.

“Should introduce yourself to the King, he will get you set up in a room. Probably put her to work” Suggesting as he got a saddle out to tack his horse.

Ji-Hồng looks down at his servant and then he cleared his throat. “Tara is my dearest friend..I don’t..I don’t want the king putting her to work,” he clarified, even as he watched the form of Cerius nicker gently to Raaya, knowing that they were mates already made him flush lightly knowing what he and Tara had did..

Sahir takes a breath “Listen, you have no title, no money” reminding him “someone needs to work and she is more likely to get a job than you” pointing out. It was already close to eight in the morning and he had things to do “my fiancée should be awake now, she can help you with her father. I gotta go” oh aving as he mounted his mare.

Tara crossed her arms not even daring to look toward Ji-Hông after seeing the pair of horses appear. She had nothing to say bout being put to work for it was all she had known all her life.

He sighed audibly and out his fingers to the bridge of his nose, closing his eyes in frustration. “Surely the Princess..” he began and trailed off.. he glanced to Tara. “Tara..” he began, wondering what she would think of this situation.

Jumping when he spoke her name she looks his direction not certain what he searched for in her counsel. “I am fine to work, get money for us” reassuring him as she fumbled her hands a little. Before she was polite and confident but knowing what they did in their horse forms caused butterflies in her stomach.

“Well..if my parents are still alive..” he trailed off, not aware of the butterflies he had out there in her stomach. “And since we already shared..” the word virginity came to mind but he didn’t know what to really say. “Perhaps we won’t have to worry about you working,” he didn’t want her to ever raise a finger again. He cared for her, deeply..the prince’s heart was stolen by the woman he knew he shouldn’t have fallen for.

Her eyes widened as her cheeks flushed a deep red knowing exactly what he meant, she had not even thought that deeply. Not only they shared intimacy but she was deflowered, ruined in the eyes of other men. “What do you mean?” Questioning as she took a seat on a bench to collect herself, hell she may have a panic attack. All she knows is how to serve, work to survive, not what he was thinking.

He watched her take a seat and he sighed, “Well…since we shared, I’d consider you to be my woman- and with that, if my parents are still alive, my status remains— you won’t have to worry about working..” he said to her- unbeknownst to him, that’s where Genevieve’s father and mother went to visit, his parents, to give them a status saying that they still haven’t found the missing prince..but when they returned-

She rubs her forehead listening to him explain making her blush deeply “that would make me your mistress” reminding him that she was not royal. “And what if your parents are not alive?”trying to keep him I reality “I am fine to work, it is all I know”

“Who’s to say I’m one for tradition?” He asked her softly, looking to her face with a small smile and a blush on his cheeks. Wait. Was this just a confession of his? And why did he seem to not understand that his parents may not be alive?

She met his gaze with uncertainty in her own, unable to look away once spotting his blush and charming smile. “Tradition?” Questioning with a risen brow as she stood from the bench.

“Well, following things in a traditional mannner..such as taking a Princess for my bride- perhaps I could take-“ he was going to say ‘you’ but all of a sudden- he started to cough, making a face of discomfort. He couldn’t fall ill.. not now.

It was common for a Prince to marry a Princess, creating alliances, trade paths, or joining kingdoms. She blink when his words were halted by a coughing fit, drawing her immediately to his side. Gently squeezing his arm with one uand as the other rubbed his back “lets get you up to the castle, rest and eat” suggesting to him

He nodded to her, and looked up at the palace, his eyes were weary and for some reason he began to see spots.. why did he feel dizzy all of a sudden?

Moving his arm over her shoulders she would begin heading toward the castle feeling his weight more and more by the step. “You okay?” Using her free arm to balance herself on a tree.
