When the storm raged around you, you did everything you could to pull up your catch. You needed to bring whatever was in that net back to shore to make your money. Having the life of a fisherman wasn’t easy, but for you, it paid well. And sometimes, you usually ate what you caught as well.

But tonight, was different. The load you caught felt heavier than normal, and you’re sure you may have caught a shark or something- to which you have before, but none were as heavy as this.

Then, you saw it- as the net was pulled up by your pulley system, and the gears were whirring from exhaustion. There it was. A frightened, thrashing creature. Half human, half fish. The creature was undeniably beautiful, and it occurred to you that those tales of sirens were actually true.

Calypso obviously was scared, she had never been captured before by human contraptions— and had managed to avoid human contact up until now. She had always been careful, if anything too careful. She wasn’t like her sisters, who used to lure men out to sea and crash their ships, no, she wasn’t like them. She’d prefer to stay away and avoid them all together.

Pursues had spent hours reeling up his latest haul, excited to see what it was. It was heavy and strong whatever it was. Sharks, marlin and most anything else only have spurts of energy, tiring out for intervals at a time. But this creature was relentless, trying desperately to escape. It wasn't until he saw her that he realized why.

In his net was the most beautiful woman that he had ever glanced upon. At first he thought she was a mermaid but then he remembered his towns history, it's legends. While mermaids were popular, his old town talked about sirens that used to pupulatw these waters. In fact, a couple people a year would disappear without warning and this was always blamed on them.

Percy scoffed at the notion, he didn't believe what he couldn't see. He was quickly turned into a believer. He would stumble back grabbing a gutting knife for fish, her complexion paling as the blood drained from his face "S..siren." he muttered in the quietest of whispers. "Y..you are one of them aren't you? Here to drag be below the waters"

Calypso drew back in fear the moment she saw Perseus grab a gutting knife- but she wasn’t sure what kind of weapon it was- she just knew it was as sharp as a great white’s teeth and knew it could harm her. Hearing him say something, she wasn’t sure what he said- as she couldn’t understand him.

Again, unlike her sisters- she hadn’t bothered to learn the humans language, which had only been learned by kissing the mouth’s of sailors themselves.

Calypso knew that this man was afraid of her, and she knew why. But a quick assessment by the man would tell him she was just as frightened as he was. By this time she had stopped thrashing, obviously too tired while caught up in the net, he would be able to notice that her scales on her tail had been damaged and a few had been cut by the net, to which it was bleeding now.

Percy would notice that she did not seem to understand him. She was a creature of the sea after all so it made sense. She seemed frightened of him, worried. It seemed that they were mutually scared of the creature in front of them.

Seeing that she was hurt he would utter a silent curse. Even if she was freed she would not be able to swim properly most likely. That and predators would be attracted by her blood.

Perseus would lower the blade and start pacing in front of the woman. What was he going to do? Maybe he should free her and dump her in the ocean and have her fend for herself? He would shake his head, he couldn't do that, he did this to her.

The fisherman would start to approach her slowly, rasing both of his hands "okay I don't think you can understand my words but I won't hurt you". He was hoping his tone would be reassuring to them both as he untied the net and pulled it off of her before jumping back away from her.

Hearing his tone, she noticed that perhaps he didn’t mean her any actual harm. Even more so as he moved to untie the net and pulled it off of her. The minute he did, she immediately pulled herself back with her arms, trying to desperately pull herself up. She needed to get back to the sea, but her injury made her wince.

But as the seconds ticked by, Perseus would see her tail slowly morph into two legs. To which she had no idea how to stand on, and she kept herself sat down on the deck. Where her scale injuries had been, it had transformed into a right leg injury, a surface level gash.

Now there was a naked, frightened woman in front of him, who couldn’t understand anything he was saying.

Perseus was taken aback when he watched her tail turn into legs, leaving her fully human in appearance. He suddenly became aware of how naked she always, and how beautiful she was on top of that. He couldn't help but be aroused as he admired her body. He would shake his head, taking off his jacket and moving slowly to her "this won't hurt, just going to cover up your body some" he said calmly before putting it around her shoulders.

Being closer to her he would notice her injured leg and quickly grab a nearby meditation, working to clean and wrap up the wound. "Should be fine if you rest up" he said pointing to her leg. He didn't know what to do next but he couldn't just abandon her. He would simply offer his hand to her.

Calypso watched him move and talk to her. At first when he approached with the jacket, she flinched, as if he was going to wrap her up and bind her. But once she realized it was for her to cover up more, she slowly took her hands and held it closed in front of her body, as much as she was able to.

When he reached for the med pack he had on his deck, she watched as he bandaged and cleaned her wound. She hissed lightly in between her teeth as he had to disinfect the wound, but she let him do so. Once done, she moved slightly, before noticing he outstretched his hand to her, to which he would see her take his and stand slowly. She was very wobbly on her legs, to which she hadn’t really used all that much. She stumbled a little and lurched forward, falling into his frame as she did.

Percy would hold another her as she stumbled into him, feeling her body against his. He would sigh and reach down, hooking an arm around her legs and picks her up, his other hand a bit too close to her chest.

He would bring her inside the cabin of the boat. It was cozier than one would expect, perhaps he lived here more than his actual house? There was a small bed, books, even some fruit for eating. He would place her on the bed before looking for clothes for her.
