  2. At the risk of sounding painfully vanilla the most fun I've had has been in light hearted romantic slice of life, in either modern, historical, or light fantasy settings. I also very much enjoy some of the more dramatic, supernatural, or sci-fi opportunities that lend themselves well to creatively challenging RP.
  3. It depends on the subgenre, but if I only ever get to use one for the rest of time it would be first person because it's more immersive. At I value 3rd person because I conceptualize the scene differently and tend to get more out of my writing.
  4. Don't sacrifice the play for the role.
  5. good ole google-fu

Hey to you all, I am called Vetur, and I have been at it for 20 years now, starting when I was a young teen, though certainly not writing the absolute filth I do now. I prefer to write fantasy, usually more along the lines of historical fantasy, usually saturated with romance but not the usual type, really. 3rd person is what I write, it's just easier this way, I think. I want it to be more like an old story book rather than a video game, if that makes any sense.

Lastly, I found this place because the place I come from will soon close for good, so, it's out into the wind we all go once more. Hopefully this might become a new and stable home for us who are now a bit lost and found our way here.​

One tip I would give to someone just starting out...Don't be afraid to say no if you don't want to write something specific. It's as much about your enjoyment as it is your partner's.

I love 18+ medieval historical fiction rps, with some smut in my rps, angst, dark romances and etc. I write in third person, enjoy writing different characters whether it be vampires, werewolves or kings and prince or princess. So yeah, I love dark mature themes in my rps.

I hope to find some lovely rp partners on here. I found the site through another website that I was previously roleplaying on.

OC x Canon has been my main stay love, but I'm tentatively dabbling into Canon x Canon and OC x OC. I've even done a Oc x Canon x Oc pairing XD

    Mostly for a fandom roleplayer, but don't let canon stop you from making a fun story, nor let a canon purist stop you either. Stories adapt and change, think of it more like a guideline.

I'm 27, which means it's probably been about 10 years now since I started roleplaying. (I started off sfw only, now I'll do whatever). I use she/her pronouns. I used to rp a whole bunch on Omegle, and while it had its faults, I do miss being able to instantly connect to so many people in the same fandoms!

I write original or fandom rps. 3rd person, usually a paragraph or two at a time, but I prefer to have response length be natural and flexible to the needs of the story.

I like all kinds of genres, but especially fantasy, romance, drama, or anything dark and plotty. I prefer writing queer submissive characters, but they vary greatly in personality, background, etc. I have a few OCs I'll reuse or adapt, but usually I prefer to just make up a character who fits the world or situation and flesh them out from there. For me, that's part of the fun!

Hello Everyone-I go by Aurora or Lina in the rp world. I have been playing for more than 20 years - yes I am very old. I have not joined an actual forum since 2016 - when discord took over just about every format of rp. Even if I’m an elder player (lol) I really do miss writing 1X1 or more people in rp forums. I think I’m leaning on nostalgia these days and discord changed the game so much that new stories are almost lost so I am glad to be here.

What’s your favorite genre of rp? I’ve done so much rp -- the last rp I did I actually did in written analog format over letters with a group of Boston LARPers who opened up a game to the global public during the pandemic. The setting was the Regency era. It was amazing and I do miss it as well. I do love historical rp and have a story with a 1939 muse that does not quit so if anyone is interested - hit me up.

What pov do you prefer to write in? Third person is great.

If you’re a veteran rp poster, what is one tip you’d give to new rp’ers? Oh wow, just live your dreams and write. Those muses have so much to tell you about you and your wishes, dreams and desires. Also do your best to be open and communicative about creating a safe space for everyone and try to use good conflict resolution culture so your rp is not lost to any drama (I’ve seen so many good forums go up in flames due to humaness lol)

Mansions, I'm new to RPM but have been writing RP for years in multiple forums. I'm 30s male, hetero writer looking to partner with females for MxF RPs of various scenario/plot ideas. MCs are usually written as pleasure/soft doms and my limits are the usually extremes. My kinks preferences vary but also usually not extreme. Hi and hello!! Welcome to the Mansion, hope you guys can stay and create some awesome roleplays - one tip I can definitely recommend is to reach out to other rp’er’s here, especially to get some ideas rolling out. Also, we are ghost friendly here so don’t worry about hiatuses and having an account being deactivated because of that.
