Kalin trembles, "I'm not ready for this. . ." He mumbles.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek frowns and holds Kalin a little tighter. "For Demi and Kas?"

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

He nods, "I miss my attention. . ." He whimpers, nuzzling closer.

 

[Firestarter]

"Oh baby, I'm so sorry. You know I don't mean it." Derek says softly, cupping Kalin's cheek to make him look up. "I know we didn't plan on Kas coming into our lives, but I promise we can do this baby."

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

Kalin nods, looking up at Derek, "I love you, and I just. . ." He huffs, "I'm selfish when it comes to you, and you know I don't like sharing your attention."

 

[Firestarter]

Derek smiles a little and kisses Kalin's nose, "I know baby. Why don't you join me whenever Kas needs something that way you don't lose any of my attention?"

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

Kalin makes a face, "I don't like babies." He shudders, "Besides, then Demi would be alone."

 

[Firestarter]

"I know..." Derek sighs softly. "We will start implementing a bed time for the kids tonight that way I can give you all of the attention you need when they sleep."

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

Kalin stays silent, his face going back to Derek's chest.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek frowns and pets Kalin's head. "Baby, please. I don't want you to feel neglected or anything. Just because we are parents now doesn't mean I won't pay attention to you." He kisses the top of Kalin's head and shivers at the thought of Kalin being sad, "Please tell me what you want to do."

Kalin looks up at Derek, "I know, I'm just. . . Insecure, I guess. . . It's hard to transition."

 

[Firestarter]

"I know baby, I know." Derek hold Kalin close and buries his fave into the other's hair, "You're not alone. I miss my private time with you too."

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

Kalin smiles softly, looking at him, "I know. . ." He takes a deep breath and slowly stands.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek takes a deep breath as well, trying to keep his emotions in check, and cups Kalin's cheek. "I love you. More than words or actions will ever be able to express."

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

Kalin nods, "I know, I love you too, Derek." He leans up, rising on his top toes to kiss the other.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek kisses Kalin back, enjoying their small moment of intimacy before pulling back, "I think I can here Kas crying. We should probably get back out there."

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

Kalin laughs, "Yeah, and Demi's probably starting to miss me." He leans into Derek before walking from the bathroom.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek follows close behind, listening to the commotion in the livingroom.

Demi is sitting on the couch with her hands covering her ears while she looks around for Kalin and Derek.

Kas is bawling his eyes out, Javi trying to shush him gently.

Kalin sighs, sitting neck to Demi and rubbing her back.

 

[Firestarter]

Demi whines and curls into Kalin, "He won't stop crying, Papa."

Derek frowns and carefully takes Kas from Javi, cradling him gently while shushing him softly.

Kalin hums, gently rubbing her back.

The moment kas sees Derek, he reached out, quieting down once in his arms.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek blows out a breath and leans his head back, trying to remain cool and collected. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry..."

Demi sighs and hugs Kalin tightly, "Papa...did I do something to make you mad?"

Kas closes his eyes, relaxing.

Kalin shakes his head, "No, you didn't."

 

[Firestarter]

Demi pouts and nuzzles into Kalin, "I love you, Papa."

Derek smiles and takes a seat next to Kalin, giving him a kiss on the cheek.

Kalin smiles at Derek and looks at Demi, "I love you too, Pumpkin."

 

[Firestarter]

Derek wraps one arm around Kalin's waist while cradling Kas in the other. "I know Kas loves you too."

Kalin laughs softly, reaching over to Has and bopping him gently.

Kas opens his eyes, blinking, looking really confused

 

[Firestarter]

Derek laughs softly and bounces Kas a little, "You love Papa too, don't you buddy?"

Demi giggles and reaches over to lightly touch Kas' cheek.

Kas babbles, grabbing Demi's fingers.

Kalin smiles, "I think he loves the attention."

 

[Firestarter]

Derek smiles and rests his head against Kalin's, "Just like his Papa."

Demi giggles and lets Kas play with her little fingers. "He's so cute!"
