Kalin grumbles, hiding his face into Demi's hair.

Edmerlda nods, looking a Kalin and rolling her eyes. "Mijo, tienes que comerlo."

He sighs, "Not hungry yet."

 

[Firestarter]

Derek rolls his eyes with a smile. "¿Tendrías hambre si te hiciera una quesadilla?" He tilts his head, waiting to see how Kalin would react.

Kalin slowly looks at Derek, narrowing his eyes.

Esmeralda laughs softly.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek laughs and leans down to kiss Kalin's head.

He pushes his hand into Derek's face scowling.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek rolls his eyes and sighs before taking a seat on a different chair. "Entonces, ¿cómo has estado, Esmeralda?"

Kalin pouts, holding Demi closer and playing with her quietly.

Esmeralda smiles, "Bien. Extrañé a mis bebés. La casa está muy silenciosa porque ellos están fuera todo el tiempo."

 

[Firestarter]

Derek frowns and lightly bounces Kas in his arms, "Lo siento, señora. Nos aseguraremos de visitarla más a menudo. Demi y Kas tendrán que pasar mucho tiempo con su abuela."

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

Esmeralda brightens, "Oh, los niños traen muchas cosas para hacer. Ya sabes, no tendría ningún problema en cuidar a los niños si quieren tener algo de tiempo para ustedes mismos. Sé que eso es importante." She glances at Kalin, before looking back to Derek.

"Mi marido y yo solíamos dejar que mi hermana se hiciera cargo de los niños para poder tener tiempo para nosotros. ¡Incluso puedo enseñarles español!"

 

[Firestarter]

Derek's eyes gleam and smiles widely. "Muchas gracias, señora. Nos encantaría que pudieras hacer eso por nosotros este próximo fin de semana si no es un problema." Derek glances at Kalin with a sad look in his eyes before looking at Esmerelda again, trying to smile once more.

"Kalin y yo nos hemos sentido un poco desconectados y necesitamos algo de tiempo para reconectarnos."

Kalin blinks and looks up, quiet for a moment.

Esmeralda nods, understanding, "¡Sí, sí! Por supuesto que podemos. Pero no te preocupes demasiado, cariño. Sucede en todos los matrimonios. Lo bueno es que lo ves y quieres solucionarlo."

 

[Firestarter]

Derek nods and lets out a soft breath, trying to keep his emotions hidden before slowly standing up. "Gracias de nuevo por todo. Me aseguraré de dejar a los niños este sábado. Creo que es mejor que nos vayamos a casa ahora. Kas necesitará una siesta pronto."

He turns to look at Kalin and Demi with a soft smile, "Ready?"

Esmerelda smiles and gently takes Derek's arm, kissing his cheek. "Tratas bien a mi chico, hijo. Él te ama más que a nada, no te preocupes demasiado por la desconexión, bueno?"

 

[Firestarter]

Derek smiles and nods before giving Esmerelda a small kiss on her cheek. "Muchas gracias, señora."

He steps closer to Kalin and holds out one hand, "Let's go home baby."

Kalin nods, taking his hand and gently setting Demi to her feet. He looks up at Kalin and smiles brightly, closing his eyes and nuzzling his shoulder for a moment. "You owe me a quesadilla."

 

[Firestarter]

Derek smiles and looks down at Kalin, "Of course baby."

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

Kalin grins like a fiend and reaches up to kiss him, sliding a hand into Derek's hair, "I love you, babe." He mumbles, pulling back slightly.

 

[Firestarter]

"I love you too baby." Derek smiles before leading them all out to the car.

Kalin follows and helps Demi into her seat, yawning. He then watches Derek, making sure he had Kas before climbing into the passenger seat.

 

[Firestarter]

After strapping Kas into his car seat and letting the little baby play with his fingers, Derek nods for the driver to take them home.

Kas babbles and tries to bite Derek's fingers.

Kalin turns slightly, watching

 

[Firestarter]

Derek chuckles and glances at Kalin with a smile.

Demi giggles and, like any other child, grabs Derek's other hand and bites the side of it, making him yelp a little.

Kalin bursts into laughter, covering his mouth, "Demi, we don't bite."

Kas lets out a giggle, waving a hand at Demi

 

[Firestarter]

Demi giggles and releases Derek's hand. "Kas made it look fun!" She smiles and reaches over to try touching Kas's hand.

Derek huffs out a laugh while looking at his hand, "Yeah, let's uh...not encourage any biting."

 

[RhysTheFirebird]

Kalin snickers, biting his lip, "I mean, Demi's not wrong, it does look fun." He turns away.

Kas blinks as Demi touches him, staring.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek playfully glares at Kalin while muttering something under his breath.

Demi smiles and pets Kas' hand softly, "Don't worry, baby brother, I won't ever bite you."

Kas smiles and looks at Derek.

Kalin looks at Derek, smirking slightly.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek winks at Kalin before looking down at Kas. "Aww look at that little smile. You like your big sister, don't you buddy?"

Demi giggles and can continues to use gentle hands with Kas.

Kas waves his hands, and basks in the attention.

 

[Firestarter]

Derek smiles and shakes his head, "Just like someone else I know, just loving alllll this attention."
