Watching the Show (Craze)

She must be out of her mind when forgetting they had to for them “um right” slipping on her shoes. Raya locks the front door on their way out to his truck. Buckling in she did her best to direct him but started feeling light headed as they drove

He kept glancing to her and once out by the general store, he parked and glanced to her again. “Stay here, I’ll be back,” he promised as he left the truck running and jumped out of the driver’s side, heading inside for the store and disappearing into it’s doors before coming back a bit later with a box that had three tests to it.

Resting her head back, eyes closing trying to focus on her breath and pause the dizzy spell while waiting for his return. She had settled now that the truck wasn’t in motion and he had returned with a box. Raya already had a feeling what the answer would be after taking them, never has she been car sick. “I’m alright, now” offering a smile once he got back in the truck.

He looked concerned and knew she never usually got carsick but still..he looked over her shoulder, and then said, “Let’s get you home,” he spoke and started the car again. By the time they got there, he made sure to open her door and helped her out, steadying her so she wouldn’t falter while moving.

Having her eyes closed the entire ride home she was beginning to dislike this random change. Once home she happily took his aid in getting out of the truck, heading inside. Fetching some water she sat down in the living room to settle herself.

He came over to sit by her, a worried expression on his face. “Is there anything I can do for you?”

A shake of her head was the answer she knew he would not enjoy but they needed answers for her symptoms. Rising from the couch she snatched the box to come with her to the bathroom. The door was locked and she remained in there for ten minutes staring in disappointment. She may not be ready but she already knew that she wanted a baby by her reaction. “Negative” telling him as she exits the bathroom to flop onto the bed.

When she threw the test away, she failed to realize the faint double line..but none of them would know by now.

He frowned and follows her to the bed, sitting by her. “Are..are you certain there’s nothing I can do for you?” He asked softly

Curling up to a pillow she let out an annoyed sigh by his continued question “I dunno” mumbling as she hid her head. Reaching to snatch tue blanket to cover her body wanting to just disappear.

He sighed softly, figuring it was best to leave her alone. He then got up and went to the couch, sitting and slumping a little.

The cat that had her own hiding spots in the house would appear, purring and chirping in greeting as she settled in Malakai’s lap. She would knead his leg with her front paws for a few minutes before sprinting off to the bedroom. Raya couldn’t help the devastation she felt in her chest, she felt like she lost something.

He greeted the cat gently but let her do as she pleased as she went over to where her owner lay, and he couldn’t help but want to go over to Raya, wanting to offer her comfort of some sort..

The cat did not approach the bed just sat down beginning to meow in a fashion of alert which made Raya pop her head out "it's not dinner time" calling only to see Malakai had returned to the room. Quickly her eyes darted away, a pout and expression of shame taking her face.

Malakai sighed softly and sat next to her. "Raya..." he began softly, wondering what she would say..if anything.

She shifts a little bit to get more comfortable under her blanket “I’m sorry, just with all tue symptoms I thought…” she spoke so quietly, almost a whisper.

He looked to her, a gentle expression on his face. "I know darling, I know...you don't have to apologize," he tells her next.

She wipes her eyes refusing to cry in front of him, taking a deep breath she must continue on with their day. Sitting up she looks around the room "So...should we go visit your parents before they show up on our door step?" teasing a little.

He looked a bit sheepish at that and laughed softly, "Perhaps," she would hear him say and leaned back a little. "Then again..I'm more worried about you than anything else.." he admitted.

a small smile grew by him somewhat agreeing, his laugh making her heart melt but his admittance of being worried over her resulted in her shaking her head "I am fine, we are fine, I just don't want to think about it, okay" getting up from the bed. She reaches the closet to slip into a button up shirt and jeans.

“I understand,” she would hear him speak and he stood, going to the bathroom to straighten up his appearance, feeling quite nervous to be honest.

Adding to her outfit a hoodie and sneakers she waits for him knowing this make be nerve wracking. Moving to the living room she took a deep breath as she gets herself a water bottle from the kitchen.

He came out, wearing the same thing he had the night they had reunited with, and he smiled to her, grabbing his truck keys. “Ready?” He asked her, but she could tell he was nervous.

“Mhm!” Humming as she sipped some water on their way to the truck, hopping in she buckles up. Directing him more to the edge of town, doing her best to fight the car sickness.

Once they made it to his parent’s house, he looked around and made a face. Something was off. But, he couldn’t exactly put what it was yet.

(Aka, his sister has their parents kidnapped for whatever reason?)

Feeling the car stop she lets out a long sigh, a moment to collect herself before reaching for the handle. Noticing his pause she glances towars him expecting an expression of nerves, instead it was suspicion. “Whats up?” Glancing toward the house which drew her conclusion, something wasnt right.

(We’ll probably not kidnap them, possibly trick them into going with her back to the city for an outing or something)

(Mm that works)

“Well given from how there’s not a single light from there…either they took to bed early or they’re not home..” he concluded, touching on his firearm that was concealed, before moving up the steps to his parent’s house, going to check the front door.

Watching where he touched upon his weapon reminded her that he was a soldier trained to be on guard and alert. She wpuld slip oit of the truck following him “they dont go to bed early” noting outloud. What was uncommon was a note on the door expressing his sister whisked their parents away on an adventure.

He took the note in his hands and crumpled it up in frustration after reading it. “That bitch..” he cursed lightly, looking to his love next. “At least they’re not in any real danger..” he concluded.

She took a seat on the porch rubbing her head as she closes her eyes to get over the dizzy spell "Mmm yeah, having a blast with their nephew and daughter, spending her husbands money" reassuring him before groaning. Swaying she suddenly faints resulting in him possibly having to drive to the city anyways for the hospital.

He gasped suddenly and then rushed her to the hospital as fast as he could- hoisting up her frame in his arms and bursting through the doors, shouting desperately for help.
-
The doctor who treated her was Malakai’s childhood friend and after doing blood work on her he came back to Malakai, sighing. “Well..it’s nothing serious,” he assured, looking to his friend. “But, her blood work says she’s pregnant..”
