"Whatever-" he grumbled as he reached out to the key again, his hand shook briefly before he grabbed it and turned the key the rest of the way, letting it Rev up.
"Yeah. Heard that before." He said as he pulled the gear shift, looking back. The Tension in Billy was visible, carefully reversing to back out of the lot.
Billy kept his eyes on the road as he crept forward a moment, luckily not so terrified that he was prone to false starts. Infact he seemed to decent at keeping control of the car, he wasn't speeding either, trying to stay along the speed limit.
Lyrin hums softly to thee quiet song on the radio, leaning against the window. He stares through the glass, carefully paying attention and ready to intervene if needed.
As they came to an intersection, Billy slowed the car to a stop at the light, he watched it, staring between it splits in the two streets. He tapped his fingers gently, shuffling to lean forward like he needed to see the faintest danger coming while cars moved in front of them. He looked at the rear view mirror. "What...happened with your test..." he ask carefully
"Like what? I'm not taking your pants off." He said smirking slightly a moment but he looked at the road as he pulledd forward a few feet. But he noticed something off, his paranoia locking onto something. The brief flash of movement out of his peripheral vision was what made him swerve and stop as a car ran the red light, narrowly swiping at the front of Lyrin's car. "Kota!" Billy's hand shot out, putting a hand on Lyrin's chest as if he could gaurd him with just his presence.
Lyrin yelps, tensing slightly. He presses his hand into the seat between his legs, his eyes wide, “Jesus fucking— Is that a curse? Kota?” He asks, looking over at Billy.
Billy flushed. "No." He said said as he took his hand off Lyrin's check. "Are you...alright?" He said looking away as he checked the road to start to creep out again to cross.
He glanced briefly as he pumped the brakes lightly, slowing the car up to the curb. He hadn't gotten even halfway home yet, parking out by a shop. "Hang on...i...want to get some snacks."
