Kara cut a look to him, her eyes flickering as a hunk of dough jumped up and wrapped itself around his face like a living ooze. "Don't push it Zerek. You're just getting off of a punishment!" She said as the dough ball adhered itself around his face, holding on despite his struggle to pry it off

 

[RedCoat]

Zerek growled angrily, fighting with the dough and ripping it apart, only for it to reform and recover his face. His voice was muffled, and she couldn't make out anywords as he struggled.

"Im sorry what was that? You're sorry for running your mouth off?" She said as he tried to fight the ball of dough off over and over. She picked up an egg, rolling it around in her palm as she eventually let the dough get torn off.

 

[RedCoat]

Zerek took a deep gasp of air "Ar... Arceus Dammit, are you trying to kill me? Because if so, you should've left me in the graveyard..."

"You're so dramatic, I wouldn't suffocate you." She said shrugging at him. "I was watching for that.

 

[RedCoat]

He growled again, before standing slowly "Hmph... Yeah, right."

 

[Knight_of_None]

"Now. Get pit the bread, and put it in the oven, it'll take an hour to cook through. I'm going to meditate, so come find me right when you take it out a glaze it with the butter. " She said taking a step to walk away from him.

He watched her go, growling quietly but not making any moves. Not yet at least. He had to be very careful, catch her by surprise...

Kara moved out of sight, sitting down and starting to focus her mind, bringing her hands together to pull herself into her meditations.

Soon, too soon, there was a knock on the door and a very different, still male voice rang out "Miss Kara? Are you there?" It asked timidly.

Kara opened her eyes, trying not to sigh in frustration as she had just reached her calming phase. "Yes, im here." She said "Enter"

A timid looking Ralts entered the room, not one Kara would be familiar with "I'm sorry Miss Kara, I hope I didn't interrupt anything... The other maidens said you were the only one without an initiate."

"Who are you?" She said tilting her head in suspicion, Zerek could take any form he wanted ofcourse. "And...who told you?"

"My name is Itranel. And the woman who directed me said her name was Marie-Anne." He replied quietly, even as Kara would note she could feel a psychic presence from the Ralts, something Zerek didn't have.

 

[Knight_of_None]

"Hm...and you were sent to me?' She said as she picked up on its psychic senses, it wasn't a illusion. "You wish to serve in battle?"

 

[RedCoat]

"I... Well, maybe... But I'm not very good at controlling my powers... I more came to learn that control from one of you here at the shrine." He replied.

 

[Knight_of_None]

"Oh? What is the trouble? Too much strength or weak manifestation?" Kara said putting her hand on her chin in thought.

 

[RedCoat]

"It's too much for me to control." He said quietly, head down in shame.

 

[Knight_of_None]

"Have you hurt people?" She said starting to stand up,walking over to him. "Nearly hurt yourself?" She pressed lightly, clearly understanding the look he had

He raised a hand in answer, showing only his thumb, index and middle fingers “That’s… one way to put it…”

"I see...I think I can help you." She said touching the Raltz on the shoulder. "But it won't be pleasant."

He bit his lip, before nodding "I... I understand, Miss Kara."

 

[Knight_of_None]

"Alright. I'm going to give you a few things from my room, they're what I used when I had trouble with my own abilities." She said starting to steer him out of the meditation chamber to lead him.

He nodded slowly, following her quietly. It was a delightful change from Zereks rebellious nature.

Kara opened up her door. "Sit here." She said as she entered, pointing over to a woven straw mat, starting to go through her things, the few she had.

He knelt on the mat quietly, closing his eyes to focus on controlling himself. He was a guest and would not embarrass himself. At least that was the plan.

"Alright these will stifle your psionics....think of yourself as a tap, this is a shut off valve to keep from spilling water in a leak." She said coming over to him with two sets of large mantra beads putting one set around his neck and the other around his arm.

He nodded to her in understanding, helping her to get them situated and giving a soft sigh as his powers were cut. About 4 seconds later, Zerek opened the door, looking away "Hey, Kara, you here? I'm pretty sure the breads don-Whoa, who's this guy?"

"Itranel. He's an initiate, looking for help." Lara said as as patt the Ralts on the shoulders. "So. Did you pull the bread?"

 

[RedCoat]

Zerek nodded, looking away from Itranel, basically pretending he wasn't there. "Yeah, I did."
