Kariel put down her book and stretched her back as she did. It had been 10 years since her brother had willingly turned into a werewolf, and swore to protect her. She had remained human, and in that time was now 27 years of age.
She mostly spent her time in the lab, researching the very virus that infected Zaria, although she didn’t have direct contact with the virus itself— she knew it was very dangerous for her to do so— at least, not without protective gear first.
Kariel looked over at her lab partner, a fellow scientist himself, who happened to be a vampire— and the very man she had a crush on. Well, to put it lightly, if he needed to drink blood— she definitely wouldn’t mind donating.
