Sci-Fi RP ~Lux in Tenebris~ (Brit)

She took it, tilting her head "Gaudy..." She murmured, brushing her hand over the blade "Engravings..." She frowned as she held it up to test the balance, finding it... really well balanced "Hmm... Good." She then ran her fingers along the edge, bringing them up and seeing the cut "Sharp."

“If you’d like, you can have it,” he mentioned, feeling like he was waiting with bated breath at that point. Would she accept his gift?

She looked at it again, before nodding and taking it from him fully this time "Other things?" She asked him, wondering what he'd say, how he'd react.

“Oh- uh,” he didn’t expect her to ask. “Well, for one I uh,” she saw him shake his head. “N-no, none for now,” she would hear him mention shyly.

"Hmm. Goodbye." She finished the conversation, turning to head back inside with the knife.

The door slammed shut in his face and he frowned. What in the great spirits… he sighed and shook his head. He would then seek out his father for some advice.

He'd find Elebron in his forge, making a weapon of some kind "Oh, Chione. What can I do for you?"

“Well,” he cleared his throat, and rubbed his head a bit, “There…there’s this girl…” he began, and didn’t know exactly how to word it.

Elebron raised an eyebrow "Oh? And which girl might this be?" He asked, turning his attention fully to Chione now.

“Eris-“ he said her name and flushed a bit. “I just…don’t know what she’s into and whenever I speak to her…” he was so shy.

"Ah, Eris. She's been in here a few times. A girl of few words, that one." Elebron sat down, taking a sip of water "So, I'm assuming every time you try speaking to her, you get all flustered like this and fall over your words?" He guessed.

He blushed harder from embarrassment but nodded to his father, “I-I do,” he murmured a bit shyly. “I just don’t know what to do..”

"Perhaps... Hmm. She's a hunter, isn't she? Perhaps you should learn to hunt and impress her like that?

He blinked and gave a shrug, “I mean, I could but…” he sighed, “You know I’m not good at hunting like you are..”

"You aren't going to get better by whining about it." Elebron shrugged "I was pathetic when I first started... Practise. Go Hunting with her. Perhaps you trying to learn will help."

He thought for a moment before nodding, “Okay, I’ll do just that.” H said and stood, going back to where Eris’ house was.

Eris came to the door again when he knocked, tilting her head "Again?" She asked, wondering why he'd come back.

“I actually was going to go hunt later and wondered if you wanted to join.” Wow. That was the first sentence he got through without stumbling over his words. Where did this air of confidence come from though?

Eris raised an eyebrow but nodded, pointing at him "Wait." She said, before heading back inside and returning a few minutes later, having changed from the loose fitting robe she had been wearing to a set of furs that were much tighter, as well as having multiple loops to hold her blades "Go." She started to walk past him, heading for the woods.

As they hunted, he was…surprisingly amazing at getting kills, even if he had mentioned that he wasn’t to his father. Then again, he was always humble and thinking less of himself.

As he let an arrow fly from the bow his mother had carved for him, Eris would specifically notice the sheer shirt he wore, more resistant to cold weather than most. Chione let out a hot breath of air, steam rising from his lips. When did he become so, confident? His arrow surprisingly made its way into the middle of a deer’s eyes, killing it instantly.

She watched him closely, an eyebrow raising in appreciation as he hit another perfect shot. She approached him afterwards, gesturing towards the deer "Good. Practised?"

Chione just shrugged, not really wanting to boast, “Oh me? Uh- well…not..not exactly. Just lucky?” He spoke, a bit shy once more. His handsome face turning towards her a bit.

Her eyes hardened a little "Hmph. Luck." She muttered, before turning back to hunt again. That was clearly not the right thing to say.

(Oooh nice :3)

He just sighed, giving a glance to her as she turned, but suddenly a stray arrow from somewhere flew, heading towards Eris. “Eris watch out..!” He yelled and stepped in front of her, moving her just in time before the arrow struck his upper shoulder. He cursed at the pain it sent through his body and he looked around for whoever had shot it. When he didn’t and couldn’t pinpoint he cursed underneath his breath. “Probably some fucking amateur..”

Eris gasped as the he shoved her aside, twisting to shout at him but seeing the arrow she suddenly had a look of fear "No. Slaver." She muttered, dragging him down into the bushes to hide him, even as he'd start to feel woozy.

He didn’t register that he was laying on the ground now, the arrow releasing some sort of toxins in his bloodstream, and he grunted softly. “W-What?” He asked, trying to remain conscious.

"Silent!" She hissed, clapping her hand over his mouth as men stalked through the forest, one looking around "Mmm... They were here somewhere, I hit one... Shame I only hit the male, these Tribal girls go for thousands offworld..."

The other sighed, “I’m sure we’ll find another,” he mentioned and shook his head. “Pity too, she was quite the looker,” and they moved on, looking for their next victim.

Chione looked confused but didn’t argue, leaving Eris to handle the situation.

There was a short period of quiet, which lead to Eris relaxing, slowly straightening from her tense crouch “Safe…” she murmured, before an arrow took her in the back of her thigh, much to the shooters enjoyment “Ha! Told you they were still here!”

The shooters were rejoicing, going over to see who exactly they were. Then one of them felt their blood run cold when the saw the male. “Hey- dumbass!” He strikes his companion over the head with his bow, “Do you have any idea who this boy belongs to?!” The slavers were of elven race, and the markings of this boy meant he was descended from Faerwyn’s bloodline. It had been supposed that their princess had perished, but with the boy in front of them, that hadn’t been true apparently.
